Yeah, a Thane DLC and I can imagine this happening.
BioWare Listens To Thane Fans With Release of a DLC...Has Unexpected Outcome
Today in gaming news BioWare launched a DLC for disgruntled fans of Thane Krios. The Drell Assassin introduced in Mass Effect 2 was designed for women but got ignored in Mass Effect 3 as a continued romance. Through tons of letters, petitions, a facebook page, and the heavy use of Twitter, Thanemancers as they are called, bombarded BioWare to fix this characters romance.
Seeing the potential for extra income, BioWare relented and fixed the romance for Mr. Krios. Although an anonymous source from BioWare stated, "It wasn't about the money. It was about getting peace and quiet. Women in general are very ferocious we knew we would never hear the end of it if this was not corrected." This journalist believes this employee is wise for staying anonymous.
BioWare decided to track the usage of this particular DLC and found something quite unexpected. While playing the DLC the character of Shepard was allowed to "save" Thane Krios and thus, continue the romance. Since we do not want to give spoilers, this is all we are going to say about the exact nature of the mission to save him. But what we will say is that there is a romantic scene aboard the Normandy and that is what has BioWare in a state of shock. Apparently through the tracking of it's Origin client and other means, at the precise point that Thane removes his shirt EVERY user went silent. We have been unable to reach individual users to see what has occurred. The same anonymous employee simply stated, "if this was all it was going to take to silence them, we could have saved a lot of money."
We will update this story as we get more news.
