The DLC to explain the endings doesn't do us any good . Thane is still dead.
Unless they fix that then the DLC will be for everyone else.

Well, since Casey Hudson said "We have reprioritized our post-launch development efforts..." it sounds like they have DLC stuff in the works. Let's just cross our fingers that some of those efforts can/will mend some of our broken romances.

Indeed. I think they just needed to deal with the ending disaster before anything else. I'm very hopeful that they will be doing more with the ME2 characters in DLC. From a marketing perspective, I'm thinking they wouldn't put all that work into the Thane PAX poster if they weren't going to do something with him. I mean it's just such a detailed hi-res picture of Thane- they have to be up to something, right? Right ?

hmmmm.....I am not hopeful (in regards to the fan community) about this added 'cinematic' epilogue, to explain things. I admit, I can't remember who already stated this, but if this had been in the game from the beginning, I believe, it would have been accepted. It would just be a flashier version of say the epilogue screens/slides in DAO....maybe. But doing this after all the uproar......I just don't know.....<bracing for the waves>

I still think the endings are crap. And the treatment of ME2 characters is crap.

So, not really excited at all. Honestly.

The fact that it's free makes me think it'll be something half-*ssed.

But then again, if they tried to charge for it the rage would be even greater.

Yea, I think they've set themselves up in a position that if it wasn't free, people would go completely nuts.

What poster are you talking about?
I don't remember seeing any poster of Thane. Was there one?
All I remeber is that same lithograph picture they used on facebook

Yeah I am trying to stay hopeful too. 
Well since they announced something regarding the ending before Pax, (And they're still suppose to tell us something there) Maybe they are going to announce something that dosen't have to do with the ending...Like...More...Thane... <3

BTW @yamainu - I was hoping to resend you the PDS files for the Fanbook.....I think I gave you the unedited ones (not that they are all that editted....kind of the point, she is Perpetually Drunk, after all.  HA!).  I also have a cover letter/disclaimer that is on my blog that I should include.  I guess I'll just go ahead and resend, and if it's too late, so be it....not that big of a deal.

1- No one starves to death, somehow.

and

2- No ending will be perfect, there will be some sacrifices. But it is possible to have shepard reunite with normandy and crew.

Of course, we'll just have to wait and see what this extended cut actually shows us. But if this is accurate, then I think I'll be just fine with this. Not really the best ending due to...well. Plot holes and star child. But I'll be okay if this is the possible outcome of said endings.

I can't really post the link to the tweets since my google chrome is being stupid. But I'm sure if you look you'll find out discussion. It's fairly recent.

yup, it changes nothing in terms of replayability for me as my sheps are going to be bereaved practically in the first act.  I hope that others enjoy it though.  The treatment of the ME2 LIs is surely the second biggest story complaint, but its completely dwarfed by the ending complaints.  Time will tell how much they value our views, I fear that they don't value us at all .  If the ending appease the majority then I expect they will just release whatever DLC will cost the least and earns the most.

I wish they cared more about the continuity of their characters. 
Can we please have the LI's we chose matter in our game...here take my money so we can have the same time with our LI as those from ME...Is it sad that we would gladly pay for something others are getting for free? WHy, why, why! Oh i feel sad today.
