Yes.
Jacob is in the romance section. It also tells you the romance is over, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Thanks for the info, JECW. Thane was completely left out and Jacob is just listed to say his romance is over.

It's just horrible.

Yes.

The lack of Thane mentions in those guide books, makes me rage to no end!  It really is proof that the romance bits (if we can even really call them that) WERE tacked on.  Those publishers have to get some version of the game BEFORE it is released (or a full breakdown of said game), and the fact that NOTHING related to Thane and a romance, is listed is SOOOOO telling!  ARGGHH!  Fix this injustice, bw......please(oh, and I'm referring to 'in-game' fixing, since what's done is done, as far as the guidebook goes.)

@yama - I'm with Julia here, can we take a pick at the binders?  BTW, I just love all the work you, Myth and everyone else has done.

Thanks Dani!  Wrote a few comments on the Poll.......I have to admit, I am surprised that most people have chosen the screenshot.....though it is a fantastic shot; no doubt!  Still, I like the idea of someones art being used....seems more personal.  Plus, you were able to blend the textured background in with the pictures....love that idea.

Yep - this was my thinking too, just don't want to write it that clear in the poll since I don't want to force anyone xD I just felt of getting the decision up to the people since I didn't want to "prefer" anyone. That was the thought behind anything and since people always tell me I have a quite strange sense of taste I just thought: I should do something, Bioware didn't for us at all:

I GIVE YOU THE CHOICE!

But we have to see what comes up - if Angua didn't make it, the picture will be put at the end or in the inner surface at all. Since I felt that much in love for it (and she loved it too) I don't want to throw it away at all

What a massive improvement...that is the least we should have got .  However, even if they implemented something like that now it would be too little to late for me...

That video is beautifully put together. <3 Shepard actually seems to care that the man she loves is dead! She should have shown some emotion over it in the actual game.... too bad that didn't  happen. <_<

I'm with Annie though. I want a cure/treatment option at this point.

You know, I have jumped in to a few of these "fist-a-cuffs" with people, but I admit, I'm getting tired of it.  I'm sure most of us Thanemancers are.  I still don't understand why people love the angsty-McAngsty in Thane, when he is such a great character BEYOND that.  "It would lessen who he is, if he survived"...."You all knew he was dying.."......"Saving him would ruin his story line and not be believable".........Are you ***kin'  kidding me?!?!?!?!  That has been (for me) the beauty of RPG's; we normally get CHOICE in how much "angst" we want in our 'soup'.   Believe it or not, when an RPG is good enough to have THAT many choices, I will choose at least one TRULY angsty run.  But again, forced angst (angst, and nuttin' but da angst)......not my thang!!  I don't know....not a lot of hope for choices in the near future.....damn.

RShara, I love your response. I honestly cannot believe people who say "Well, you knew he was dying. What did you expect?"

So just because Thane said he was dying we should be ok with the inconsistent characterization of his character in ME3, the dismissal of the  romance and the general lack of emotional closure (among other things)?

I'm angry and upset that we were given no choice to save him but even ignoring that his character was badly handled and his 'romance' was pretty much discarded.

I also love it when they bring Mordin into it and then have to kicked in the head to be reminded that Mordin can live. Then they just sound completely stupid. Thane's fight with TroLeng was not epic nor was it fantastic, it was a sloppily written scene and a huge slap in the face to those who romanced Thane. If you don't let Miranda look at the Alliance files or warn her about Leng (which one is it, I can't remember) she CAN live, you have a choice in that but you get no choice in Thane and that's what gets me. You have the option to allow Samara to not shoot herself, go to Grissom quicker and Jack lives, make peace with the Quarians and Geth and Tali won't kill herself.

Still don't get why Jacob and Thane didn't get one ounce of choice, I find it insulting as a female gamer playing a female character. Yes, they hurt my feels...and I might even feel a bit discriminated against. Even if my Shep wanted to move on, she can't unless I want to suddenly turn her gay. This is very apparent if Kaidan is not in your game. Well, no offense but if I wanted my FemShep gay, don't you think I would have decided that 2 games ago? Then I would have left the danglers alone. FFS, BW did anyone even think this one out?

I feel the same way.  It's getting a bit tiresome to explain over and over why I'm upset.  I just recently had a friend who went through the ME2 Thane romance.  He told me:  'I honestly understand why you're angry, now'.  It was great to hear.

It really perplexes me how they decided to uplift FemShep in their advertising, yet treat her so badly in the actual game.  There is so much regarding the relationships that flat-out makes me cringe, facepalm or rage.  The fact you can't tell Kaidan you moved on without apologizing for it, that two of her relationships get nullified, lack of straight options in general (if you killed Kaidan or didn't import a Garrusmance you're S.O.L.)

I honestly don't get it.  I think this a case where they looked at skewed statistics instead of actual fan feedback.

There actually seem to be a lot of people now who agree Romanced-Thane got shafted. There are still a lot who are just derps, but most of the time, I see people agreeing that Thanemancers got the 2nd worse treatment.

It feels like with Thane... It just seems like it'd be so easy and obvious to patch up, even (especially) if his was an inevitable death. It's one of the most blaring examples of a dropped ball with the lack of reaction to his death, and his conversations are so minimal. Someone, somewhere, should have caught this.

And I know. I'm beating a dead horse, but it just seems so... jarring, really. I can understand the endings. I can roll with some of the odd plot points. But PARTIALLY forgetting a character is just weird. Not even wholly. It's like they wrote the skeleton of the Thane interaction and then never fleshed it out. Instead, whoever was doing it was sent for doughnuts and forgot what he was doing by the time he came back or something.

Hey guys, I never fully romanced Thane, but I was completely appalled when I found out BW "forgot" he was a romance, and I think the treatment in ME3 is almost criminal. I would like to have a banner in my sig that expresses this. Which one do you think I should use to most get the point across?
