So I looked over the thread @RShara had posted earlier (the Thane dying one....). I had seen it when it had first come up, but just looked again, and I think all those that posted did so brilliantly! And Shara....love your little antagonisms....beautiful!

Would have add my .02 (though I would have just been repeating what all of you stated), but I am having an off day with posting. Can't seem to make myself....I don't know....clearly understood, or something. Already had to back pedal once today (though it was more for diplomatic reasons than because I thought I said anything truly wrong)...anyway, enough about my careless typing......BRAVO to all that posted!!!

Voted.  And I'm with you Shara.  SO tired of people saying that it "completes his story arc", and stop "fangirling," as they have "Retake ME3" banners in their sig.  Right, no fangirling/boying there at all.

A CHOICE.  That is all we ask.  A well-written choice.  The same things people want from the endings.

Total agreement about Shiala.  I actually liked her character, and I enjoyed the Feros mission...(ok, I hated the damn Prothean Highway, but that's because the stupid MAKO kept freakin' out all the time; constantly trying to rear up and get stuck on wut.....air???...grrr!)  But honestly; if she wasn't made in to a squaddie by ME2, what made any of them believe that she would be one in me3?  And ONLY if she survives (of course), AND the colonists survive, does she even "flirt" with Shepard in ME2.  Now having said all that, I still think they have every right to "wish" for it to have happened.  Make threads in support of her and so forth.....But for us to wish (and use in game logic) for a choice with Thane is apparently stupid and "fangirly"......wuteva.....talk to da paw! 

Hmmmm....have no idea why I felt the need to go so "in depth" about Shiala...HA!  I'll shuddup now....

Hiya!!! Shiala is okay, just another Asari to me TBH. LOL I miss the mako, it was sooooo much better than the Hammerhead.  Shiala flirts with all my Sheps, but too bad. She may be green, but she ain't no Thane.

I get really tired of being ridiculed for wish choices for Thane but all these other people are wishing for other stuff. Bloody narrowminded idiots.

Also...talk to the paw?

I am horrible at the MAKO, BUT....I wanted to buy it flowers and chocolate if I could have "wooed" it back in place of the Hammerhead.  If ya thought I was bad at driving the MAKO......yikes!!

I loved driving the Hammerhead, just not having to do combat. It was so much easier to get out of the Mako before it blew up. Hammerhead...."Mission Failure". *facepalm*

I am not even going to bother with that thread. Trolls will never go away and clearly people don't bother to actually READ the posts. I hate threads like that, people only write such things to get attention.

Only thing that matters is making Bioware listen.

My response to the Thane's Death poll:

He was my Shep's LI in all my play throughs but none of these answers accurately fit how I felt. His death was not honorable and I can't say if he didn't have regrets because we only got ONE conversation with him. Did he have regrets in 2? Yep, did he reconcile all those? No clue see above. Shep didn't need help with Leng, Thane should have kept his azz where it would have been safe. Too bad, Shep didn't bother to tell him that. Too bad she didn't also didn't help him nor bother much with him once he was stabbed. Pity he loved her, she sure as heck didn't act the same way. The only reason I can think of as to why he completely messed up this fight with Leng is that it was intentional, he was basically committing suicide. He finally picked the "how and when" of his death and that is not honorable at all.

The death scene was great IF he was some acquaintance, someone you once knew. Other than that, it was pitiful for a romanced Shep. Again, she stood there like a complete tool. This is it, the very last chance she's going to get to say all that she has to say to him and she does nothing. He didn't deserve her, he didn't deserve this complete ignorance of his character from a romance perspective, and I didn't deserve such an emotionally void Shepard. Then not one person mentions him after his death and words from ME2 become even more painful.

And there it is, something I had feared he had done for a long time now, he committed suicide. After seeing the fight, the missed opportunity still shots, why he was running to meet up with Shep, why he interjected...he was going to die, he wanted to die. I do not find it honorable. I know he didn't want to waste away in hospital bed but if he really wanted to go out in a blaze of glory, he should have gotten on the Normandy and fought some Reapers, fight as he did during ME2, and if he got hit with a Reaper laser beam without meaning too...well, then that's honorable. Suicide is the only logical explanation as to why it looks like he ran right for Leng the way he did. And now I just pissed myself off.

Whenever I see a "His death was great! If he lived it would have ruined his character! Why you be whining fangirls? " post I shake my head and mentally flip a table.

Because I'd bet that if it was their L.I. that was out of character they would be screaming til they were blue in the face.

And had there been a choice in the first place nobody would have complained. Those who wanted him to die would have their "glorious" death for him, and those who wanted him cured would have him alive.
Win-Win I suppose.

Obviously there should have been some kind of moral consequence of keeping him alive and not a "miracle cure" though imo.
