That would be incredibly stupid if they continue to ignore us and the rest of the ME2 fans.
If they keep doing that and do nothing to fix the mess they made with the romances then I will probably never bother with Bioware again.

My furry friend and I thank you......as stated in last post; all will be well eventually.

I really have to wonder how much they are thinking/discussing on, in regards to how fem!Shep was handled in this game.  And, of course, all characterization and LI's (or lack there of) related to the hot mess that is fem!Shep.  Interestingly enough, my first completed Shepard was my Abel Shepard, and talk about a train wreck. 

I played Abel almost completely green (he was started in ME2; got that game first), so he made a lot of 'less than perfect' judgements.  Tried to get together with Miranda in ME2, but lost her loyalty, did a quickie with Jack (but when I did peek at the wiki about the relationship, I saw that the quickie nullifies Jack as a true LI), so I redid the scene and chose NOT to have a quickie.  Then Abel ended up in a relationship with Tali......wasn't meaning to at first, but decided to go through with it, even though I initially thought he would end up with Jack.  He got half his crew killed (poor GingerSnap), but surprisingly didn't get any squaddies killed on the SM....go figure.  (Of course, he is left with an import that has a three unloyal squaddies.....sad times ahead for Miri if I ever imported.)

NOW, even with all of that, I could import him into me3, and he would STILL have a better arc than any of my fem!Sheps!  Not only would his character be less butchered (the railroading of ALL the Sheps into a particular......hmmm....how to say....flavor? wouldn't be that far out of character for how I played him, but I suppose that is just lucky).  And as for LI's; Ashley is alive, Liara is on board, and of course, eventually he would be reunited with Tali.  AND, if he decided to be a switch hitter, he has Cortez, or he could have a fling with "beat by the ugly stick" Allers.

So back to my original pondering; what is the BW team thinking about in regards to fem!Shep??  Will they ever address these glaring character flaws?  Will her LI's ever be bolstered or left to oblivian??  Will I ever stop goofing off and go finish my work???  Inquiring minds............

What Weekes says isn't necessarily a bad thing,I'd say! Rewriting the game and script to un-kill Thane would be a technical nightmare, probably; they should have got it right in the first place, in my opinion,mind you!:/As opposed to dropping the ball on Thane and Jacob and the ME2 romances and the endings, since I'm listing flukes here!

Now, on the other hand,giving players a choice to save him or at least more time with him should be somewhat simpler.If he is still alive after the Citadel, and, say,not on the squad, due to his health and having to undergo treatment to be cured and so on, writing in a few correspondence emails with Shepard or even some holo-chats in the Comm room-or some more dialogue in Huerta, if he's still got to be there-should be a LOT easier to manage!!

Or even if he is off-screen somewhere, helping against the Reaper threat after being cured; we could still get chats with him,perhaps a proper love scene, a farewell chat via holo-com in London...and a darn flashback at the end!Are those too much to ask for?

I hope you are right because as of right now Thane probably wouldn't be in any future DLC.
An option is pretty much all any of us has ever wanted. The question is will they do this. I'm still hoping that they do.

It's funny, but that actually went through my head as well, after I read his comment.  If a choice is implemented, it wouldn't negate what we were already given, just added new option and subsequent content for choosing to have him live.  Then maybe (just maybe) they could include him in future DLC if you have chosen to do the steps needed to keep him alive, and new LI content could be added as well.

Today I was hanging with one of my high school pals, anyway we got talking about ME3, and I told him I hated it, BW threw away all the characters,they reduced Samara, to a half @ssed cameo, they destroyed Ashley's look, they p!ssed all over Jacob Taylor, they reduced Kasumi and Zaeed to a cameo, nearly all of Kelly's content got cut out of the finale version of ME3, Miranda was done half @ssed, and Jack was discarded as a Squad Mate, on top of that they killed Thane off and it was done very tasteless. And the ending was sh!t, total BS no one really knows who lived or died, or the fate of YOUR own unique ME story.

To which he told me, "Oh get over it, people die in games, I didn't see you B!tching when Dom got killed of in Gears 3.The ending was cool, no one lived, it was how things should have happened the Reapers were going to destroy everything in the end. It wasn't feasibly possible for a happy out come. Further more I support video games as Art, and BW had every right to do what they did. As artists It's not their job to appease fans, it's their job to make what they want"

He's been my best friend since high school and so I let it slide but my god the kid needs a wake up call.

Really? Really? did you just say that to me? Good god man did your forget back in Nov of 2010, when my older brother stepped on an IED made for armored trucks, 60 pounds of explosives, and only lost his left leg, went flying 20 feet back, and remained conscious the whole time, yelling at the LT for making stupid choices and being a dumb@ss, while the medivac was on it's way. He's still alive and kicking and no other injuries other than his left leg missing from just above the knee.

Don't tell me about what's possible dude, because the logical possibility is my older shouldn't even be alive. Don't give me that horsesh!t.

Further more, The art angle is so tiring and I'm about ready to vomit, because you know how many musicians I've heard say as an artists their main goal is to make their fans happy with the music they make, because their fans pay their bills.

Don't give me that BS dude, don't tell me that stupid sh!t, I mean I totally remember you b!tching about every Resident Evil game coming out and how they continue to ruin the series even more with each new RE game. You continue to b!tch about it, but suddenly I am told that I can't be just ass p!ssed off about ME3? Freaking idiot, hypocrites are so freaking irritating.

As for it being a technological nightmare idk.

Adding new flags are not imposssible. If it was then we wouldn't have been able to play LotSB in ME2. The same could be said for editing existing ones.



Then again, they also said it was because of "technical" difficulties that we got Liara as a flashback in the ending no matter who you romanced. And we know that's editable by modding.

/This comes from my own admittedly limited, knowledge, of how the plot flag system worked in ME2 and how it was structured in DAO. I have a hard time believing ME3 is "that" different in it's structure from ME2.

Everything you said is the truth, and I don't think I will ever understand why they did this to a certain section of the fanbase. Why did they even bother with ME2 if they were just going to throw each and pretty much every character away. They went on and on about the characters in ME2 before the game came out. ME3 comes out and it's a completely different story. It's like these characters don't matter anymore.
