Protesting the Poor Treatment of Thane Krios' Romance

My god those poor Jacob Fans, have been so devastated that the Jacob thread is MIA. I'm doing my best to make sure that don't happen to the Thane and Samara threads.
I remember a thread asking questions to the person who wrote both Liara (phhewy) and Samara in ME3, and I asked if they had ever planed to do anything more for Samara in ME3 romance or not just anything more.
To which I got this reply, "I didn't write Samara in ME2, I just wrote the stuff she had in ME3. We never planed anything for the much fabled Samara romance and we really didn't have much plans for her with ME3, she wasn't well received. Sorry but I can't help you"
Yeah that was a big kick in the nuts for me, I have an article I saved from back in late 2010 early 2011 or a Q&A with a certain white teeth Mr H. about the returning roles of the characters in ME3, I'm gonna dig up the stuff he said about Thane and post it here for ya all. But I've had the stuff he said about Samara ready given I've been posting it to defuse any idiots telling me otherwise.
GI:Q:Samara in ME2 the whole the near kiss scene and how it ended. Many felt it was akin to a **** tease. So Samara any plans to make her a full LI romance option in ME3?
CH:A “That scene between Shepard and Samara at the end of ME2 it’s like the giant pink elephant in the room between them. That’s something many of the fans have been asking for in ME3. So we plan to really develop that and bring it together in a way that’s natural to the characters and at the same time delivers what the fans have been wanting. The Samara romance will be taken care of in ME3”
I sort of remember when he was asked about Thane what his reply was and if I'm remembering it right It will be extremely sad to see and read now.

I tend to be in the same boat as some of you all, on one hand I'd rather not have BW throw some half@ssed thing in the EC for Samara fans, on the other hand I don't want them to throw her out the window and completely forget about us.

That hurts, that really really hurts. I know lots of people have been digging up past interviews and posting them since March about what was said about ME3. I really like the ones where we are told we won't get ABC endings, technically we got RBG, but still. The 16 different endings comments. Our choices mattering, not destroying the universe and perhaps being able to live on the Citadel because they wouldn't do that to the fans. There are many more "WTF" moments. Word of advice to them, next time you go doing interviews and answering questions about an upcoming game, either remember what you said and stick to it or say nothing at all. This way you don't get the rage you so justly deserve and you are not seen as liars who can no longer be trusted. Another word of advice, when you are caught in a lie about things you once said, the LAST thing your fans want to hear are "Artistic Integrity." Sometimes admitting you made a mistake, will gain you greater favor. Hiding under a rock and NEVER bringing it up or apologizing will just cause people to compare you to another creature that hides under rocks...a snake. I don't know about you but once bitten by a snake is like getting your hand burned, it's not a position one is willingly going to put themselves in again.
Yes, I have lost trust in them. Yes, I no longer believe anything that comes from their mouths. Yes, I will think more than twice before ever giving them my money again. But I still hold out hope that some things will be addressed and made right, if not well I will remember BW as they once were, be blessed that through BW and ME that I got to meet such great people here. But that's all I will walk away with.

I know that I saw a CH interview where he stated that they would never kill of a popular character with no way to save them... he was speaking in general terms. Silly of me to assume that Thane would fit that criteria.
Yeah I remember that too, heh I guess he didn't mean Thane, or Legion (I'm really indifferent to Legion) but Mordin under the right circumstances can live, but I was happy with how he gave his life.
Oh and I guess Anderson wasn't included in that statement because he's so not popular like Thane.
I just replayed the Citadel Coup, and when I went and saw Thane's death it made me more sad and upset than it did when I first saw it. First time I felt like it was a powerful death scene, but the longer it sits and heck even after the first time No One mentioned Thane the rest of the game except Kai, it felt wrong.
I won't stop fighting for more Thane DLC, and other ME2 cast DLC, and even DLC that fixes things like the Rachni and all that stuff, because I refuse to just sit by and let it end this way. I got a voice and I'll scream and shout, bite and claw till the verry end.

Seriously, that seriously sucks. Even if I wouldn't romance him, he didn't deserve to be treated that way.
@gears I feel for you regarding Samara. I would have kicxked Liara out of the airlock if I could get her or Shira on my team. And even though play femShep straight, I would have considered Samara.
How can Samara be not well received? Something seems off and they're trying to backpedal like they did with Thane and Jacob.

That's a load of bull if I ever heard it. I don't know how many of my friends were frothing at the mouth over her and upset she wasn't romanceable in ME2. Hell, I wanted to romance her with one of my FemSheps! She's one of my favorite characters.
At this point, I'm really getting tired of the excuses... it's obvious they either don't care about or pay attention to what it is people actually want.

Samara was one of my favorites, and she was with Thane and I on most of the final runs on the SM. And yes, I wanted my very first m!Shep to be with her (after I screwed up early on with Miranda...was playing blind). I thought she was wonderful. Something doesn't add up with the way they handled everyone from ME2 (except Tali and Garrus).....<stink eye>

As for the Samara being not well received yeah I don't get it, I wish I knew who the chick was the did the writing for Liara in ME3, I'd share her name because she also did the writing for Samara and well that was what she told me when I asked her.
Blah dumb@sses off to go find that article with what CH said about Thane in ME3.

I thought Samara was recieved pretty well. This is coming from the writer who wrote both Samara and Liara in ME3? I can see where she put all her effort.

But seriously, I'm just posting in random threads that sound even a little interesting. I can't stand the f*cking silent treatment they're giving us. Do they actually expect us to "settle down" and be quiet? They obviously haven't been paying attention.
I think they do.
I'm begining to think there isn't one person at Bioware that actually cares.

I'm just gonna come out and say I liked Samara far better than Liara. That's just me, however.
She was such a powerful and intriguing character. Her and Thane had this presence, that made every conversation with them seem interesting and enjoyable. They both carry themselves with such distinction.
