Well, maybe we are just not loud enough. I have started, just short of trolling, posting everywhere that is even remotely interesting.

It really is telling that an offshoot movement can get official feedback but the original movement can't.

I'm tired of fanbases who got what they want and/or get promises from writers have "deal with it" attitudes to those fanbases of characters who are maligned, ignored, or butchered.

I'm tired of writers playing favorites with being official about it. I'd take it better if they were upfront about it.

If they're going to hook up to movements, they need to do it to all movements. Or stay back and talk generally.

All fanbases should be treated equally. Poor Jacob fans. No one liked him, so they butcher his character. Now they're off the board.

Due to this blatant favoritism, I don't think BW is a day one purchase from me again. Why risk me liking a character only to have them taken away?

I agree. I can't invest in any other series they offer knowing that they will only be playing to "favorites" (although I thought Thane was a favorite?). I really loved ME1 and 2 and thought they were going to be true to their word. For me, it's just not worth trusting them again just so I can get upset :(

I don't know what happened with Bioware's Facebook promotion for Thane's cure last year. There were articles about and everything. I thought it was very successful. I don't know wtf they're doing. It's Jacob and Samara too. I don't know what we did wrong :/

I agree with everything you both have said. I will think long and hard before I ever buy anything from them again. If I ever do.
Thane was a favorite which is why this doesn't make any sense. I don't know what happened to Bioware.
The only thing we did wrong according to bioware is not picking one of their favorites as an LI. Bioware likes to pretend that they care about their fans, but that's a lie. They like to pretend that they don't play favorites. Liara is all the proof you need to prove that they do. They will talk to any and every other fan group but this one. Maybe we aren't loud enough. I just don't know how much louder we need to be.

Most of us understood the logistical issues with having that many previous squadmates, and them (bw) coming up with a very defined group for the me3 squaddies, was expected. Some people were going to be disappointed no matter who was on that squad list, but how they handled those exsquaddies (and ESPECIALLY LI's) that didn't make the me3 Squad list, could have still been VERY rewarding.

All they really needed to do was stick to the characterization of each ex-squaddie, and if they were a LI (or in the case of Samara, a potential "in the future" LI), be sure to add QUALITY romance material. Allow anyone who romanced a character that did not make the squad list, to still have a TRUE romance with them (i.e. meaningful, tasteful content.....love scene/date.....Paramour Achievement.....picture/emails/calls from them on the Normandy....and their face at the end of the game.) AND no forced deaths....choice and options, especially for loyal (and or romanced) ex-squaddies. If they honestly felt they had to kill off a character, make damn sure it is meaningful, and nearer to the end of the flippin' game.

What the.....? The F***!? OK, some of you may have read the quick drabble I posted yesterday (thanks agin to Mnohama for the review). I come back and this.....'review' is waiting for me.

"Eh its alright but personally while i found Thane's death a bit drab i do believe he should have died in the game, the Death he was given was fairly good but they way they did it just made me angry. I mean the fact they do not let you see him die was a bad choice in my mind, I mean Espeically if he was Your LI But whats done is done.

I do give Leng one thing, He gave Thane a warrior's death instead of letting him spend his days in a hospital bed slowly drowning in his own fluids. "

RAGE.......INDESCRIBABLE BLOODY RAGE!!!!!

No, we are not just going to lay down and take this. We are going to keep fighting until Thane (And Jacob, and Samara and Miranda and Jack) get the dammned romances they deserve.

We are not going to accept the monumental screw-up that was ME3.

I think what happened is they didn't learn from the mistake in ME2 when it came to ME1 characters. I remember there was such an uproar about Kaidan, Ashley, Wrex and Liara being cameos right after ME2. I think Bioware thought that they needed to bring those characters back in full force to make the fans happy again, and the ME2 characters lost priority. They didn't realize that many of those same fans love the ME2 characters and at the same time, they gained a ton more new fans with ME2. I played ME1 back when it first came out. But I didn't fall in love with the series till ME2, I didn't start recommending the series to other people until ME2. ME2's characters, especially Thane being a huge reason for me.

They've shot themselves in the foot, planned everything all wrong in ME3 based on statistics from the first month or so of ME2's release. They just weren't thinking at all until it was too late to think.

I wouldn't take it to heart that no one from Bioware has come into the Thane threads. I think they just don't know what to do, didn't think there'd be a huge backlash, and yeah, chances are they aren't going to do diddle squat for Thane. They probably don't want to get our hopes up for nothing again. They've got nothing to say right now but sorry, we're not doing anything for Thane. Which will just spark lots of fan rage and they've go their plate full of that right now.

If we're lucky and we keep making noise they may give us what we want.

Personally, as a Garrus fan, if this was done to Garrus, and movements to save him started, I think I would take someone from BW coming into the thread to say "Sorry, we have no plans for him now or in the future" than say nothing at all. Plus, it makes no sense for them to remain silent when other Save movement threads get some sort of feedback.

I want to hug you all. It's the silence is what so hurtful. A little interaction, even if it's negative, can go a long way.

But's that's just me.

If anything else needs to be done just spin me in the right direction and point. I'm home for awhile again because of my neck. Just don't book me for anything in mid-late July unless you want me to make a Thane sand sculpture. Do you think public beaches allow ridges? On the sand sculpture, I mean.

Hmmm...and to think Hampton Beach is constantly praised for how clean it is. I think this year, I will make it a bit dirty.

Oh that would be me and don't tell anyone that Tink is really short for Tinkerbell, it's a Krios family secret.  They look at Thane and then at Tink and go .  What exactly do you need?  I'm a bit drugged at the moment so I'll need extra direction unless you point toward Thane's pants, I'll never lose my way there.

haha, his secret is safe with me.

I'm just looking for a sentence or two (for the poster) with Thane quoting how it was Tink in the game and not him. Am I making any sense right now? lol.

I hope you feel better soon. :)

Yeah I said it.

We have already shown screenshots of Tali as a party member, so that wasn't the news. The news was that she may not have been made a party member, but fan demand for her after ME2 definitely swayed the Devs into making it happen.

And people say BioWare doesn't listen to the fans. Image IPB

... Seems to be some misunderstanding here. You know I never said she was a permanent squadmate, right? Just that she was one at some point (or maybe some points) in ME3. right? And you shouldn't get all worked up about things you don't fully understand yet, right?

Right.

Since Tink is a complete figment of my imagination and the source of great embarrassment for the Krios family, I can only imagine what Thane would say.

Save me. Right now we have millions of people confusing my brother Tink for me. That is disquieting.

Tink Krios should be honored for his sacrifice in ME3. Now it's time to bring me back, fully healed and ready for combat.

Who put Tink in my place? He doesn't even have ridges.

My brother Tink never did anything in life worth praise, until he took my place in ME3.

I have a Siha to return too. I can't have her last kiss be that of my brother, Tink.

I can come up with more if none of those work. I'm slightly high.

Speaking of which, Cameron has some explaining to do. Making out with Tink like that, I hope Thane spanks her. I really hope he does.

Yeah, apparently he practices the arts of selective listening and lying.
