Mature...you forgot mature. And probably the only one, besides Samara, who we can say that about. And it's not just the age, even if they are probably older than most of the squad, it's about life experience. Both Mordin and Zaeed are probably the only others that qualify and they are not romancable.

edit: TOP and I'm at work, so stealing this from the main thread and Bronagh.

ahh yes....mature. He is; you are correct. Agreed about Samara as well. But that is just it. Much of his maturity comes from these life experiences (wife, son, assassin....) For me, I completely admit, that since I am an older fart, he appeals to me much, much more than any of the others LI's. I really do like all the other characters, but Thane intrigued me the most. When you play out his romance arc, he becomes even more "rich". BTW, never claimed to be overly "mature" myself......Jeebus, I just called myself an old(er) fart.

Have fun playing with Kolyat, Porcelyn........hmmm, that didn't quite sound right.

Hey guys... if I dumped my letter here to bioware in a couple of hours, would you be able to help me spell/grammer check myself and provide any feedback on it. I never was great with words and I don't want to sound like a retard to Bioware. haha.

Yes, stick around Porcelyn. We're a fun bunch! Even us old(er) farts. Although I'm pretty sure I'm older than the other fart. LOL

Yep, Squee, go ahead. I'll be here for a while. Then I'm going to play with Batman because 1) it's fun 2) no romance. At All. 3) it wasn't made by bw.

Hellya! I got it.....I'll win some lottery, cuz that shouldn't be to hard....., then fly us both to some grand destination; you prefer mountains, deserts or sea?? Then we can celebrate in style; you can bring your DAO saves (mods included) make me giggle with some of the silliness you have put Zev through (or at least that is how I imagine it...HA!), and you can watch me get stoopid on booze. And, of course, we can have a Chocolate Ridges cake made.....and yes, I am totally thinking of that lovely art piece you commissioned......mmmm nekid Thane....*drifts off to a happy place*

@JECW - I have always been a strong believer in the OTT on baggage for one Mr. Thane Krios.  They really didn't need to give him a disease with the "compact", wife killed, estranged son.......that was plenty.  I even wrote a synopsis on why some people probably feel that Thane's handling, in me3, was a good way to end his character.  It is based on this very problem of one character written with too much baggage.

Still can't help but love the Drell.  Interesting, soulful, intelligent and sexy to boot!Posted Image

I agree.
Thane had enough going on in his life without them giving him an illness. I  thougt it was added  it for drama, but it really didn't add anything. Most of the time I forgot he was even sick. Now all we ever hear is how it defines his character, and if he lives it will ruin him.
Then in ME3 they turned him into the thing those people who don't know him said he was. The first part of the conversation centers around Kaidan for some stupid reason. Then we talk about his illness and that's it. I honestly don't get how anyone could think that was a good end for Thane. I guess it's easy to feel that way when it's a character you care nothing about, and it isn't your character who recieved this awful writing.

It says:

Lothario Redgrave: Asking that of the poor sod is a bit much.

He doesn't naturally have an alien voice, you know. He'd have to either spend a lot of time tweaking the levels on his own voice through an expensive and time consuming program, or hire someone to do it for him.

If he didn't, everyone would go on about how he doesn't sound like the real Thane... Stop bugging him about this.

Apparently she has only one friend on facebook...not sure how that's even possible. Sadly, I know that friend and rather like her cheeky attitude.

Edit. And, not to mention, this is on Keythe's wall, not our facebook page. She called him a poor sod ffs. On his own page. I feel rage mode coming on.

That rythmic thumping sound you can hear? No, it's not dubstep - it's me smacking my head reapeatedly into the keyboard.

Oh brother......He most certainly still sounds like Thane.  Hell, I started recording Thane's dialogue in ME2 and sometimes it doesn't even sound like they used that "wonky voice machine" (it's technical name, of coursePosted Image).  And "poor sod".....why on earth would she believe that he is a poor sod.  He is well liked, has a fantastic job, probably has a descent life (assumption, but fair I'm guessing).  So what if people ask him to read it.  Either he will or he won't.  Doesn't hurt her either way, and keeps his page active, which in this day and age, accounts for something.

I'm trying to think of a reply that doesn't put me into rage mode. It's a good thing I've got firewood to chop.

I say go with the "activity on his page, is good for business" approach. And either he will do it or he won't, but there is no disrespect in asking. He has a great voice no matter what. :) Or say something more poignant than what I just said.....or ignore the post. Maybe someone else will "take the heat" so to speak.

Chopping firewood is a good thing!! I miss doing that; grew up in the country. I loved chopping wood.

WOW, I've been MIA for less than a day and man has sh!t gotten deep here. I missed someone called IssacShep and I missed mnomaha telling me about the Witcher dude, which I keep hearing great things about those games but I've never played them.

Maybe if it ever hits the 360 I'll take a chance on it, the last several medieval sword type games I bought I never could get into them they weren't my thing. But that was long time ago, before I was tired of playing the same old end of the world shooters.

Also missed a total dumb@ss on Forbes giving his review or whatever the flying f*ck that p!ss poor excuses of his "thoughts" was. Because mad that dude was freaking dumb, Samara and Thane were taking care of, their stories or sorry "loose ends" were resolved by "Stopping Samara from committing suicide" and "Praying at Thane's bedside" Really WTF? Next he was a total dumbf*ck he liked the mini-games not being in ME3? WTF? I missed the hacking, decryption, and planet scanning mini-games from ME2.

And ME3 had the best combat system and was upgraded from ME2? WTF? Really dude? It was not better, the freaking cover system in ME3 SUCKED @SS BIG TIME! Half the time I don't go to the cover I want to and then sometimes I just start sliding along the edge of that cover for no reason, until pop I'm out of cover.

He was happy with Mordin's death, well good because I thought it was great to see Mordin die that way too. Next the Krogan Genophage cure and Eve and Wrex, umm sorry dude I dissagree with the outcome there because I don't EVER find out it does any good, because once GOD CHILD comes in I don't get to see anything else but God CHILD, Grandpa 'star gazer' Shepard child molester with his LI the little boy. And then I get more Liara too.

Oh thankfully we agree on the butchering of Ashley Williams dude, BW clearly had their heads up their @ss with how they handled her too. I mean really look at her and Kiadan and it's day and night difference, but I WILL NOT go resurrect Kaidan just because BW screwed the pooch with handling Ash in ME3. In FACT that survey someone post here the other day, I demanded BW fix all LIs and elaberated on of course Thane, Samara, Jacob, and Ashley and I demanded that they make Ashley a s/s LI option like they had intended way back in ME1.

OK now that I'm done addressing that dumb Forbes dudes nonsense, and spewing forth my rant like I did.

Welcome PorcelynDoll hopefully you'll stick around with us nutcases here.

Oh and than there was someone who mentioned something about people not liking or romancing Thane because he had too much baggage.

I've never heard that one (then again I'm learning so much from hanging out with you gals) but I'm not shocked that people say it. In fact I've heard people b!tch about similar things about Samara, "oh well she wants to die" "she killed her daughter, what a cold hearted b!tch" "She had a family once it didn't work out, she don't want any part of falling in love again, she just wants to die" "BW should have never even created Samara or Morinth they should have just made Liara a squad mate in ME2 instead"

Yep seen it all before and all those comments I remember reading going whoa whoa whoa and my head spinning around, and going whoa. One of my favorite comments was from some random BSNer who was like stalking me all over these boards and whenever I posted in a protesting thread about Samara, said user would post something like "If you really understood her character and really cared about her, you be happy with what you got in ME3, NO Means NO, and she told Shepard No. Anyone who wants Samara as a LI is not a fan of her character and don't understand her at all"

Oh yeah that person p!ssed me off like no one else here has, the little **** had a Liara user pic, and a Liara banners one "Liara deserves a better ending" and the other "Liara and Shepard Forever, always faithful to Liara" or some such cr@p like that. Than the little SOB had the gull to go and create a new thread entitled something like "Best DLC idea for BW" and it was about "BW needs to make ME3 DLC like LotSB, for Liara and give her romance more content and make her the only one to have post end ME3 content, with little blue kids, because it would make the most money, non of the other LI's can make BW any money" Yes that was the content of that post and the gull that **** had, lit a fire and unleashed my fury and I went completly insane and in my fit of rage, I popped out a Samara DLC thread to counter act the SOB's Liara cr@p, I created the Samara group and I went nuts. Come to think of it, I haven't seen that user here in sometime, in fact they dissapeared shortly after I went all rampage on 'em and counter acted their Liara posts and anti-Samara posts.

Anyway Sorry for that all, My mind is a mess right now and so posting is likely going to make me look more crazy than normal.
