Ah... does anyone know the names of the people that wrote Thane in ME3? I am trying to search for those jerks *coughs* I mean jackwagons *gags* I mean those people who were so delightful to bring us back Thane in ME3 *mumbles* on Twitter.

Try the credits at the end of the game or there are videos on youtube.  Can't really find any other info!  Must be shrouded in secrecy!

I don't think anyone actually wrote him in ME3. He was an afterthought, so they just shoved something in there. Having an actual writer implies that he had actually story time...

I don't think his role was considered a storyline, it was an afterthought and was written as such.

Exactly! Such a waste of a good story, an excellent character, incredible war assets, an overwhelming romance and a glorious end to a trilogy. Ahhhh, the things that could have been.

We could try asking who wrote him on twitter, perhaps? But I doubt we'd get a response....

@Utaker I've always thought of Thane as a character with a sensual side. His line about "the taste of another's tongue in your mouth" and the way he describes pursuing Irikiah "I fell on my knees before her"

I think he's got a lot of passion beaneath that controlled exterior and that's attractive. Totally. Especially with that glorious voice to back up his words.

<3<3 couldn't agree more

*sigh* thinking about Thane's hidden passion, that voice, that...everything else. The whole package. And I'm also at work.

It's going to be a looooong day.

loooooong it is.....and fat...with ridges  Need any donuts delivered to you?  I'll even send some chocolate milk to wash it down with :o .  Thane wants to know what kind of donuts you like...plain, iced, or cream filled

:innocent: Now for something a little more innocent....the Hornitos (snicker) commerical....as pure as your intentions :o

Yeah, that wasn't innocent at all, who am I kidding, I know you are at work and I'm acting up.

Give players options...LOL. Ok....does not apply to ME3, apparently.

Thane likes to experiment too....he'll be heading your way with donuts, chocolate milk, and a probe (heh..you know for scientific experiments).

So I've been playing FFXIII-2 because I felt I should finish it. I stopped today and walked away. For those that want to play it and don't want to be spoiled, I'll not say a word but I tolerated having to hear Liara and Kai Leng's voice but when they got to the Augusta Tower for the second time and I heard what was said....yep, I had to walk away. I tried to play this game to try, just for a few hours, to forget the mess that was ME3 and I get hit with that piece of the plot.

I never got that far with it, FF is not a franchise I've ever been grabbed by.  I accidentally spoiled the end and Ali Hillis doing her Liara is distracting in a bad way.  I hadn't realised why I hated Snow... I thought it was just because he looks like such a dick... now it all makes sense :P.  Anyway, I'm going to send it back unfinished so I can get something else to play... my curiousity is slowly returning after the dissappointment of ME3.

@utaker My interest has been piqued now. I've never played FFXIII and probably never will. What happened?

The only game I've really been playing lately (off and on) is Skyrim. And as I'm sure many of you know Thane's name is all over the place in that game. It makes me sad to hear it and be reminded of ME3. What was supposed to be a great gaming experience turned into nightmare-level awfulness. :(

Anyone have any recommendations? Someone mentioned Dragon's dogma before, is that any good?

Dragon Dogma is the one I am most interested in (think it came out this last Tuesday). I am still trying to finish up my f!Amell play through in DAO. I am going to start looking at some of the reviews for Dragon Dogma (@stwu I believe bought it). I have to admit; me3 has made me gun shy on game purchases. It's not as if I haven't bought games before that I didn't end up enjoying, but when your expectations are so dashed.........This, and Dogma is a new IP for me, so......off to read some reviews.

Oh, and if you have never played it, Too Human is a fun choice (it is an older title...came out around the same time as ME2). It has some (loosely) similarity to ME with a bit of DA thrown in. Futuristic theme + Norse mythology.

Anyone see the new mulitplayer release? New DLC for the multiplayer. New maps, characters etc. For free if you have an online pass....

Where's my Thane DLC?? :(

Yeah, I know next to nothing about Dragon's Dogma but I've seen it mentioned several places by people. I'm going to do some research as well to see if it's any good. And thanks for the rec, Cold! Too Human sounds interesting.

@Cosmo I saw. It seems like multiplayer is getting all the love. I still wish they had released multiplayer as it's own separate thing and kept ME3 a single player game. :( I know they claim a different team worked on multiplayer and it didn't affect the single-player campaign, but I have my doubts.

You guys should visit squeegee's group. There's a new topic there for us to post ideas/ things we'd like to see if Thane DLC is ever implemented.

Well even if it was a different team it seem that the multiplayer is getting most of the spotlights...I can play it once or twice a day but t as soon I have closed the window I don't feel the need to play it. When I was playing mass effect the normal game I was thinkiing of it and I was dreaming often of it (lol) and even now I Keep thinking of all this.

So, I was out getting bread etc at local supermarket and noticed Dragon's Dogma on the shelf a day early (UK release is tomorrow) picked it up and it seems okay...Kept me entertained, will play more tomorrow.
One thing I like is that you get to create your own sidekick... mine's called Krios and he has no hair and some green facepaint, he's also a mage and unfortunately his 'robe' is pretty awful... beggars can't be choosers I guess :{ . If anyone else is playing, you can recruit Krios for your team when he's not in use by me :D.

Oh I am going to sound like an idiot when I ask this. Yes I know it should have been the first thing I should have gotten from the start. But here it goes, does anyone have the address to Bioware? lol.

@Squee...I would ask Tully which address to send it to. There are probably multiples and it would get confusing to figure it out. Just my opinion though. :)
