I wonder what a Thane DLC could look like... Maybe that famous vacation Shep and him were planning to take on a desert, getting interrupted by mercenaries, or something ?
Another good DLC content would be to have him live aboard the Normandy, on the Env. controls again, with some nice romance dialog and cutscenes. Mordrin and the Doc can take care of him, until he stops that assassination and dies (
Or Cerberus relives him and tries to blackmail Sheppard and she goes out to the Cerberous base kicks ass and frees a cured Thane

PS: Where is the Thane DLC topic ?

Ah utaker & mnomaha - LOVE it.  Although I agree - no spoons.    I'm glad I didn't get a chance to check this thread before now - it's my Fri afternoon and I get to spend it daydreaming about a big, green sundae....

@Renmiri1 - there are a few groups dedicated to Thane - I believe Squeegee's group has a DLC topic for discussion.  Most of us would like to see an option to save him, as most other characters were given one.

@Myth...Sometimes I hate Facebook, I found your message. They like to stick messages from non Friends straight into the Other messages and I don't get notifications for those. Yeah, I'm rely on the messages notification...I responded. I would never knowingly ignore anyone here on FB. I will be over to read your story in the group as soon as my eyes fully open. I bet I cry. It is ok though, I cry every Saturday when I have to see my ex husband.


As for naughtiness...BLAME THANE! It's all Thane's fault. If he weren't so tasty looking I wouldn't want to nibble on him. Or lick him or lord knows whatever disturbing thoughts that go through my head.

I've only just started the Witcher so I can't say...but Skyrim does! It was great because if i had forgotten to add armor, people would tell me to put on some clothes!

Now in ME3, I should have had the option to tell Thane to take his off....

I am highly disappointed that Dragon Age allowed me to take Zevran's clothes off but Mass Effect couldn't let me take Thane's off. I am not the only one here who would strip him naked and make him go out in battle like that...or I am just the only one who would admit to it. Yes I would take him to Omega and Garrus's RM like that and I would run off with him all by myself. Poor Garrus, he'd be yelling for me to hurry and I'd be like....NOOOOOOOOOOOO. Just like I love to see Garrus's face when I do that RM and pick Legion to stay with him.

I can see Thane now when you walk into Life Support and there's that one part where he looks at Shep and smiles...."Take a look under the table, it's not the only wood in here right now." And yeeee hawwwwww.........crasssssshhhhhhh....... I'd break Cam's FlyCam.

I did this one below yesterday, "correcting" the placement of the arms. Not well done but it amuses me

Talking about new to the ME universe, I am very new. I bought ME3 at launch time because so many of my friends and even my BF loved ME2. When I buy a series in progress i like to play it from the beginning so I bought ME2 as well and played it first. While I was playing it, my bf and my friends told me not to bother with ME3, that BW had ruined it, but I had fallen in love with the universe  and a certain green skinned alien so I tried ME3. I am not sure I can get myself to finish it. I just played the scene where Thane dies. So painful!

And then no way to grieve for him. No one even mentions his death, not even Bayley who had sent me to the hospital to see him. Not even Liara, supposedly my BFF. Nor Garus, Talin, Jack.. 
If they wanted more Liara scenes, why not make Liara console Sheppard ?  Is like Thane never existed 

My boyfriend didn't finish ME3 and I don't think I am going to finish it either.  Is hard to see the point. Sheppard is fighting to save the Galaxy and it turns out that she saves nothing or dies. My LI is barely on and there are no dialogs. I messed up some choices and Tali dies. 


I tried to get another Li and the chances are very limited. Is like a male fanboy wrote the scripts: lots of girl on girl action for them to drool and only ONE male available if you don't cheat and got to a previous save with Garrus, which I don't have since I just played ME2 for my first time.  I have nothing against girl on girl action but it feels shoved down my throat. I didn't particularly like Liara "that way". Two other girls I barely met them. Feels so forced. Is not like we went on suicide missions together and they covered my back like Tali or Samantha or Jack.  And it pisses me off that I have no choice. UGH!!!

I am new so forgive me if I'm wrong but seemed to me ME2 (and I assume ME1) was all about choices and their consequences. ME3 takes most of your choies away !

 Think I'm just going to abandon ME3 unfinished.  I can't see anything else fun to do. To just go invading fortresses and shooting targets there are other games, perhaps  with writers who care about female players.

@utaker - No you are not the only one, though I do love Thane's leather jacket and pants so I would keep him dressed most of the time

@Renmiri1: I know how you feel. I want my choices back and I want to be able to experience the ME universe many ways. I can go back and play ME2, and it still gives me a new experience.

On LI choice female players were crapped on. If you don't like the ladies offered, you're screwed if you didn't save Kaidan. I guess we should have had the foresight to romance Garrus and keep Kaidan alive for ME3, just so we could have a male to romance.

And I do sort of feel the girl on girl stuff was forced. Nothing against gay choices, but I haven't played femShep that way and I shouldn't be forced into to due to lack of choice and to get the complete experience of what BW wanted us to experience.

It's kind of like ME1. I romanced Kaidan(later changed with gibbed), but only did so due to lack of choice and I wanted the paramour achievement. Wasn't into Liara, and now I will never be. ME2 opened things up and I loved it. ME3 regressed worse than ME1 because you can end up with no male LIs at all.

I am still upset about my choice being taken away. I may not have wanted to romance Jacob, but he was there as possible LI for me. It's better to have a choice then not have it.

On the rebound from Thane Sheppard could go for Vega, he is cute but a bit dumb for my taste but alas, not a possible choice. Sheppard could cry on Garrus shoulder.. Again, not a choice unless I play ME2 again (or cheat on the savefile).

And there is absolutely no mourning! Not even as a friend will Garrus talk about Thane. Miranda, Tali, Legion. Zero, zip nada. Is like Thane LI simply didn't exist. We see all the sad refugee stuff, ask about people's families and not one person asks Sheppard about her family and her loved one !

@Renmiri...I know. They totally betrayed us all, not only as Thane and Jacob romances, but as straight women gamers. I'm all for gay/bi romance, but NOT when it is FORCED. And seriously, why is it that Kaidan is not bisexual but Ashley is not? Again, it's all about the male gamers out there. All I can visualise about bioware is a bunch of pimply pre-pubescent fanboys sitting around a big table "writing" the storylines with blue blow up dolls under the table. Ohhh we need more girl on girl action for our male gamers. Ohh we need Kaidan to be bisexual for our male gamers. We don't need female gamers. We have tons of almighty male gamers.

Ok, I'm uploading those ME2 audio files to my website....911 separate files and this does not include all the groans, grunts, and some combat talk is still not done. Mostly cuz I haven't converted and renamed them. Thane had lots of dialogue in ME2. Really, everytime I hear the groans my mind (pant, wheeze, convulse) skids so far off track that Dale Earnhardt Jr (drool) would be jealous of my wipe out.

Oh yeah, I had a point. Thane was created for specifically for female gamers...then tell me why there are sound files in there recorded by Mark Meer (Sheploo) that says, "You're the only one I want Thane and I'm sorry Thane I don't think we should continue this." There is no dialogue for the cabin scene for Sheploo...unless mine just messed up during the extraction (heh heh) and left them blank. Same with the line of dialogue that comes with Shepard asking what a Siha is...blank files for what I imagine would have been Sheploo's dialogue.

I guess what I wanted to know was..why is that in there? If Thane was created specifically for females then there should be no dialogue recorded by Meer for that part of the conversation. It would be pointless, unless they wanted it "just in case" which blows their "for females" statement out of the water. I love Thane and I love the diversity that BW has done but I'm going to say something some may not agree with. There is no way in hades I'd ever buy that Thane was Bi. I'm sorry, it would never have sat well with me. It just would seem so....not right, I guess not in character. I can't think of the exact words I have for it. It isn't just that he was married cuz I know many people who are Bi and have been married and have children. He just doesn't seem the type that would like men. I guess that's what I mean. I bet there are some who will love my closed mindedness on this about Thane. Don't care, I can't picture it. I can with Kaidan but not Thane. Just as I cannot picture Joker liking men or Garrus.

Hm, I have to agree with you. As much as I do love those slash-fics, my Thane is well, he's a one woman man. And I'm that woman.

I see your point though. TBH, I don't think I've heard too much about anyone wanting him to be bisexual/gay, so that says a lot right there. Well, it does to me, but I haven't had enough coffee yet either.
