Don't know how the ending is going to fix all that crap with cinematics. I still want to shoot star child.

I just had a random thought about the alleged surrender Shep supposedly did at the beginning of ME3...
There's Anya (Well she's wearing a hat), running around bare ass naked, high on Thane, screaming "You'll never take me alive! Thane! Quick, grab the banana!"
Hope runs from bananas, naked through the Normandy mess hall too...sad thing, I wasn't even drinking when I came up with that absurdity...completely sober. Did I ever put up the one where Garrus goes into convulsions because Thane and Hope did it all over in the Main Battery. Screwed up his calibrations... I might have. It was the Vega's pull up bar I never finished. Or the sex in Javik's vat of water he washes his hands in.... I don't think I ever finished the one where Thane and Hope were using Kenneth's FBA couplings....LOL.
I know, I am well aware that I have tainted EVERY part of the Normandy. I had this gross one going in Skype where Thane had Hope bent over in the Comm room and Hackett calls in and Thane makes a rude comment about inserting the crucible right now....

@utaker...a monkey could do it, but whoever "wrote" Thane in ME3 apparently couldn't even do that much.
Sad that someone with less creative cognitive abilities is making far more money than me.

RIDGES!!!! Look I made the ridges big.... Drooooool...... I'm gonna grab me two pieces of bread and slam Thane in the middle and have me a big old Thane sammich.
Now I will sit here and think about Thane's pants. What do you suppose happens when he gets excited? How does he hide that? You think he's ever busted a few stitches on his pants? Picture him hiding in some corner with no pants and sewing kit swearing about how he hates how sometimes his body is not under his control. Think if he bent over far enough, he'd poke himself in the eye?
Oh yeah, someone is supposed to be working. My bad.

@utaker...evil woman! you might need some condiments for that sammich! Honey, chocolate, whipped cream (you can whip it) or something equally...appeasing.
I have no doubt (in my mind) that he would not be able to hide the wood. So yes, stitch busting is a definate hazard. Hell, I may have thought about ripping his leather a time or two. Maybe. As for his body being in control...I imagine Anya would be fighting him for control on that. But mmmm, what a fight it would be. On the desk, against the wall, in the elevator...
Dammit, see what you made me do.

Thane goes to his closet....
Thane: What the? Hope! Siha!
Hope: Is something wrong (drooool)
Thane: My pants...
Hope: You're not wearing any
Thane: Yes, I am aware of it. My concern are the pants in my closet.
Hope:
Thane: Siha, pay attention. Something or someone tore the crotch out of them.
Hope: :innocent: We have termites! Moths? Carpenter ants?
Thane: What? Come again...
Hope:

Added a letter to the "story" post, hope is not too late. Oh and also added a lil concept on how a thane DLC could work without changing the ME3 story much: His body gets stolen by Cerberus and revived, to blackmail Sheppard. Shep can pretend to go along with it and then bust Thane out of the Cerberus lab. Then after one or two adventures Thane goes back to the Citadel to stay with his son for a little while. It integrates seamlessly with the ME3 story. http://www.fanfictio...Thane_based_DLC
I am hearing awful things about ME3's ending. I don't want a bad ME3 finale to taint my love for the series or take away my joy at a new ME2 playthrough. Is it worth grinding through the missions and finishing it ?
a laaarge box of tissue will be needed and also alcohol!!! lol

I accidentally loaded it while I only meant to load my last save in order to look for that poor hamster; it was not good for my psychology, I managed to get through half the scene before I turned my Xbox off, I couldn't bear to see it again!
That is just not my Shepard, it can't be!:/

Thane's treatment may have been one of the biggest disappointments in this game, but the other one was most definately Shepard. I used those very words Hisilome, after importing one Shepard......"That is just not my Shepard...!"
I have seen many posts over the past three months regarding this very problem. Those that are into the combat, or those that got lucky with the me3 Shepard simply being already like the one they molded in the previous two games, AND those that picked a LI that was treated well........they probably had fun with the game. But I truly believe that it was completely within bw's ability to cater to the majority of all their fans. They chose another route.......and at this point, their reasons ring hollow.

I asked them if they even played ME/ME2. If they remember BioWare's original Mass Effect marketing stating that you forge Shepard in your own image. If you remember how there were many more choices on the dialogue wheel and less auto dialogue in the previous games. The idiot said No, Mass Effect 3 was the first game in the series he'd played. Of course I pounced and told him that in no uncertain terms can anyone tell me my Shepard is all wrong in her emotions and behaviors when they'd never built one from the first game and has seen the dramatic change in how your dialogue and choices play out. Of course he'd have no damn clue who Thane was if he didn't play Mass Effect 2 and why my Shepard should automatically feel more for the man she loves as opposed to someone she can't stand and hasn't been able to tolerate from the first game.
Then I ended it with...And since we are being judgmental and juvenile over my opinion when you have not even played the first two games, I'm going to have to quote Kai Leng here, "Shut up!"

I remember posting a complaint about how my Shepard's choices were nullified in this game how it seemed the Alliance gave her a lobotomy and someone had the nerve to send me a rather nasty PM. I was told that something along the lines that I should NOT have control over my character and what kind of game did I think I was playing. I should grow up and stop whining about how my character reacts at the hospital as Shepard is not MY creation, it's BioWare's and they can do whatever they want with her. I also had no right to expect my Shepard to automatically feel more emotion for Thane than Kaidan who's been with me since the beginning of the game. He also said he didn't know who this Thane was. I laughed. I laughed harder after I got a response from the jackhole.

This makes me chuckle! This is precisely the problem; some (and I would go so far as to say not even all) new players probably really liked the game as is. Especially when you have not spend two other games forging said PC. But with all the linear combat heavy games out there, why on earth did bw think it needed to hit that market with this game??? The third game in a trilogy and an RPG at that?!?! Oh, and I don't give two shytes n' a shake if this is considered a "lite" RPG; still a damn RPG. It's what I was sold, played and expected for the third game.

*hugs* ignore the little f*cker. We all know how you feel and you are more than justified feeling this way. Even if it wasn't the same as us, you are still justified.
It's truly telling how bioware was willing to screw over an existing fanbase, and I mean all of us veterans here, just to pick up a few new players. I didn't realise they were either 1) that foolish or 2) that desperate.

I guess I'm not surprised since Thane is automatically dead if you don't import form ME2.
I really can't believe that this fool actually wrote you and said something like that. This idiot has not even played the first two game. Was he 12? Common sense should have told him to play the other two, or at least the second game before he opened his mouth. I'm sorry but if you haven't at least played ME2 then I don't want to hear one word you have to say. I also don't understand why anyone would pick up just the third game in a trilogy. Then for someone to tell you how you should feel about your game. Especially when they don't even know everything but want to act as if they do. Another big problem is that in ME3 choices are forced on us when the were not in ME1 and 2, so new players don't know the difference.

I never liked FPS / shooting games, I play RPGs and WoW raiding. My boyfriend has been begging me to try Mass Effect for ages so when ME3 launched I bought it. As story is very important for me, I also got ME2 and Genesis, to be able to follow the story. I gotta say ME2 was well above my expectations, it even make me reconsider my snobby attitude against shooting games. It is an epic story and tons of fun! Bioware really impressed me there.
While I was playing ME2 my friends and my bf were playing the new ME3 and hating it. I got "hooked" on the story so I gave it a try but I find myself unwilling to play it past the Citadel attack. My bf said the ending tainted his love for the game and his fun on ME2. I don't want the same happening to me.
I am now playing Shadow Broker and the other ME2 downloads. Can't make myself go back to ME3 after seeing the blatant disrespect for female players - and for all players - the ME3 game is. Female Sheppard is there basically for fanservice to show girl on girl action to drooling fanboys. Kaidan is a jerk, and is the only hetero LI available for new players. Unless I go mess up with bytes and codes to hack a pre existing LI. BW lost my respect.

They really did ruin the story for me, as well as a lot of other long term players. ME3 is no longer about choices and consequences. It's about the developer's choices. It's now their Shepards and their choices love interests, which is really just Liara with the VS option.
I don't want to play their story with their characters. I want the Shepards that I spent the last two games molding into what I wanted her to be...for her story. I want *my* chosen love interest.
I want to know how the f*ck I got stranded on Earth and to know what had been happening for the last six months. I want Thane, *my* chosen LOVE interest and not the clone they tried to stick me with. *My* Thane did not want to die and was not content to remain at the hospital. In *my* story, Kolyat wouldn't have said stupid sh*t like "I don't know if you remember me". WTF? I freaking hit you boy! Of course I remember you!
In *my* story, my friends and squadmates would have remember that the love of my life, my soulmate, just died. They would have airlocked Liara/VS for even thinking about putting the moves on me. They would not have abandoned me in my time of need.
Sadly, this was not *my* story. This was bioware's story...and it shows.
boy...I'm rather chatty today, aren't I?
