Not that I'm gay for Thane, but I do sympathize. There should have been multiple ways to dealing with the Thane arc. most end horribly with his death, but some ending with him being alive and well.
Thank you very much for the support. That's all we really want is the option. In no way do we want to take away the death for those that really need it in their game.

@FOOlishG...thanks for the understanding. Like utaker said, all we wanted were options in our games.

A choice would have pleased most people. Mass Effect is advertised as a game of choice and each of us should be able to shape our own stories. We shouldn't have decisions like this thrust on us. The forced death of a LI never should have happened.

Also I have reed on Twitter that he said he hoped that in future the Thane after death ignoring by everyone should be fixed in future.
It could mean : we will just delete that drell from the game , or it could mean they would like to have time to do something about it and feel sorry about forgetting him. etc
But any how the optimistic me is prefering to think the last one, they would like to fix this silence thing.
It is a progress.
Maybe one another time Mr. Gamble himself will be in good mood and offer us a cure and a choice.
Faith can move mountains believe me.
We just need to keep civil patient and superfirm in our actions. And positive. Nothing to make people shy away than negativity.
/cheers my friends from here! I know it sound like hippy peace and love etc but it never hurt .
edit and about my hand I won't need surgery wich please me a great deal lol

The twitter thing is still very intimidating to me, I spend so much time keeping up with the information without agonizing over posting anything, I'm amazed any of the Bioware people keep up!
Oh, and great work to those who found some evidence of previous campaigns! This wasn't just a fan-tantrum, it was an ongoing campaign that they themselves continually encouraged to help influence their content!
@F00lishG, thanks for popping in and showing support where it means most, a choice. I think coldi stated it brilliantly that in these types of RPGs the narrative necessarily become somewhat linear, but its the non-essential choices (or the ultimate illusion of choice when being permitted to drive the narrative) that really allow yourself to feel immersed and in some sense in control. (Otherwise it becomes the narrative equivalent of a rail shooter. And JRPGs do it better.
If there was no choice I would have wanted content - lots of it - but alas, felt like not only a punch in the gut but a kick in the teeth for good measure. :\\

@ F00lishG - Echoing everyone here; thank you for your support. Feel free to join us anytime you wish.....though fair warning, we can get a bit silly around here.
@baibai - This is precisely my complaint. I get disheartened when those claiming to love RPG's (whether as a player or one who creates for them), believe that forcing NPC's (especially love interests) down a single path as being good dramatic flare. Forget the fact that someone may have had a different path in their role playing for such an important character to their PC. I see some built in dramatic devices as necessary for the narrative, but with the NPC's that our PC's get to interact with on such an emotional level, things need to be handled......delicately. And for love interests, choice should always surround their interaction. It makes sense to set up the possibility of really "bad" choices (and making them NOT obvious is better), but the choices should still be there. I have used this example probably way to much, but Alistair in DAO works really well to illustrate this. As we near the end of DAO, if your Warden is in a relationship with Alistair, the following things can happen:
**DAO Spoilers**
You can choose to persuade him to do the Dark ritual (ummm...yea? my bf sleeps with a witch....still a choice.) He can break up with you (if you make him king) if you are not a Cousland and if you didn't harden him. If you don't do the dark ritual and agree to take the final blow on the Archdemon, if Alistair is with you during the final fight, he may take that sacrifice for you (doh!), if you chose poorly on previous dialogues. Then there is the aftermath; King, warden, drunk, married to your Cousland, warden as mistress, married to Anora.........
**END spoilers**
Considering the number of squaddies/exsquaddies and LIs, I get that they had time constraints, so I would not have expected a list like the one above for Thane (or any other LI in the game), but it does show just how many options they CAN make. And when you figure in that the LM, the results of the SM and your Romance flag, are all in your save you would import into me3, there was no reason (IMO) that they couldn't have alloted for at least a couple of choices surrounding Thane (and not just.....he's dead, dying, deceased, terminal, death, Kepral's, diseased, ill, fatal, doomed!!!)
I really should drink my coffee before trying to write this stuff. Forgive the rambling; to cross-eyed to fix it right now...HA!

LIA Project 3....? Project VID (hn, need clever acronym...)
Just had an idea. Anyone good at making youtube vids? Nothing fancy, just some music, text and screenshots, gamevid, succinctly detailing how each ME2 LI changed from ME2-ME3 (both for the better and worst, constructive criticism, get me? ) and why their ME3 romance content wasn't the 'satisfying conclusion' we had all been promised. We shouldn't have been punished for not romancing the VS, Liara or Team Dextro. If they couldn't handle juggling all these romances, they shouldn't have made them available in the first place. Anyone interested in such a project? I was thinking that the LIA projects could use some visual media... and people seem more willing to watch\\listen to a youtube vid than read one or two of my long, detailed, heartfelt BSN posts...

Wait....hasn't Utaker already been doing this....sort of? I'm not sure if she was already doing this for Squee or Myth, but I got the impression that she was taking video of Thane's dialogues in ME2 and me3.

Nah, all I did was extract all the audio files, convert them and then upload them to a site. So, if anyone needs any Thane line said ever just let me know and I'll point you in that direction. For dirty pervs, I also put put up all the groans, grunts, etc.
It took a long, long time LOL. Oh fudge, I forgot his LotSB stuff..meh, there was not much there, what one line? LOL.
