LIA Project 3....? Project VID (hn, need clever acronym...)

Just had an idea. Anyone good at making youtube vids? Nothing fancy, just some music, text and screenshots, gamevid, succinctly detailing how each ME2 LI changed from ME2-ME3 (both for the better and worst, constructive criticism, get me? ) and why their ME3 romance content wasn't the 'satisfying conclusion' we had all been promised. We shouldn't have been punished for not romancing the VS, Liara or Team Dextro. If they couldn't handle juggling all these romances, they shouldn't have made them available in the first place. Anyone interested in such a project? I was thinking that the LIA projects could use some visual media... and people seem more willing to watchlisten to a youtube vid than read one or two of my long, detailed, heartfelt BSN posts...



I also meant to mention...

Emerald & Squee...some of those Thane comments (well most really) on twitter are awesome. Whichever one of you is doing this, you always make me smile.

On the vid project: There is one member of the #SaveThane group doing exactly this kind of video for Thane, the users BSN name is ParagonOfPeace. Dropping her a PM can't hurt methinks.

@mnomaha - gawd yes, I "zapped" the boy on a few occasions (ok, maybe more than a few...heh). But truth be told, he has always been much better at falling back than other squadmates, so most of the 'zapping' went to Liara......sorry bluejay!

Hehe, as I am replaying Mass Effect 2, I take the time to listen to the in-combat banter again; some I hadn't noticed before!

Only heard that "That's me, Shepard" comment today, hadn't noticed it before! Made me laugh at my screen, but darn, he really was in my way-and this Shep is an infiltrator, so he was pretty much messing up my sniper shots, but oh well...the view!

I get so hell bent on having Thane with Shepard with all the missions that half the time, I have him there during Freedom's Progress too. Meh, it will cut out that Veetor dialogue when Jacob is supposed to speak and skip straight to TIM and defaults to Shepard sending Veetor with Tali. But Thane is already on the Normandy after it's reveal.

Thane, how did you get here so quickly? I laugh everytime I do that because when you go talk to Kelly she will tell you that Thane wants to see you down in Life Support. Droooool.... and then he will say, "Remember when we met on Illium, I mentioned I was dying." (close it, sure I'm missing a couple of words) Ummmm....no, I don't actually. I got you aboard via Space Magic. Actually, while Joker was standing there talking to me about this new ship, I was wishing on my lucky penny, "Please let there be a hot man on that ship."

Oh yes...when we met on Illium, oh want me to go save your son. Already? You are asking me favors already? I have a favor to ask you, Mr. Krios. Show me how you fit into those pants. A demonstration will do nicely. Take them off and then put them back on (like he'll actually get to that part especially if it's Hope).

I found a way to recruit Thane right after Freedom Progress (with his recruitment mission on Illium). Then I brought him to Mordin's RM. I like to imagine that, while spreading the cure for plague on Omega, I cured Thane too. And here' s another complaint: This plague has been so easily cured and yet am I supposed to believe there' s no cure for lung disease... ? ;/

Yeah in order to recruit all of them after freedom's progress just requires a couple of checks in Gibs. I'm just an impatient imp at times and would rather have him with me at freedom's progress. I hate to say this but it's also another way to avoid putting Jacob in my squad. Not hating on Jacob but he dies every time I take him with me. Which sucks for him because I employ a No Medi Gel rule. You fall, too bad for you.

Yeah I went on a tear one night somewhere about that plague on Omega. Mordin said that the collectors had such technology to engineer such a plague. So, if he can cure a collector produced plague (advanced technology those collectors have) that Thane cannot be cured from a bacterial lung disease. This doesn't take into account all the other things the Mass Effect universe is capable of either through what is said in game, what is in the codecs and what is said in the books. Thane and Joker have the ONLY two things that cannot be fixed. But death can be! As for Joker, his skeletal system can be replaced....just ask Wolverine. Heh heh...

Meh, maybe if we wanted Thane to live we should have asked Miranda for help. Look what she managed to do with a dead Shepard.

Maybe because they filled it with so many lies that they don't want anyone else using their own words against them.  Well even if they put on their ruby slippers and click their heels three times, it isn't going to transport them to a place where Siha's don't exist.

My next playthrough I want Thane on Lazarus!

The game will crash if you put Thane in your squad before reaching Wilson. It needs that empty space for him. Since it's so small, I've never taken out Jacob but I imagine it will mess up when you run into Miranda just like it skips a part when you don't have Jacob in your squad when you talk to Veetor.

You can always save before TIM and check all the options needed to get Thane and put him in your squad but then he will follow you around. Not a bad thing but funnier than heck to have him standing there when you first meet TIM. Or wait until you land on Freedoms Progress, save and then check everything needed to get him recruited and add him and either Miranda or Jacob to your squad.

Playing with recruitment orders is fun but I will warn anyone who tries to mess with Garrus's checks in Gibs. Do NOT make him loyal right off the bat. It will glitch and you will not be able to properly upgrade the Thanix Cannons. You can buy them, sure but it will not register. Thane will be impaled going through the Omega 4. Your best bet is to just do Garrus's RM, it's fun to bring Thane to that one. If I want Thane without the RM, check everything except Thane is Dead and Thane was loyal. I don't check the Alternate Appearance either. Checking him as loyal will make him loyal but he'll still ask you to help him with Kolyat. Checking Thane in Squad, does just that...it will put him in your squad.

For those who want to do Thane's RM and get him early, you can just set two simple checks in Gib's....Check the Miranda in Alternate Appearance and Jacob in Alternate Appearance boxes. Done, you can recruit Thane first, pick up Tali and Samara early too.

Quick question for ya all, I'm getting a new laptop this week to play games on, best way to buy ME2 and do mods? Direct Download? Or Normal Physical Disc Copy?

That I cannot answer as I have the direct download. I guess for 2 reasons, I was too lazy to leave my house to get it and because I get adhd when it comes to games and I don't want to swap out discs. I think my DA2 disc is still in the drive. The only physical copy of a PC game by BW I have and only because it was dirt cheap at Target.

Had you seen the   picvtures   of when shepard was remade  in mass effect2  at the  start ? You see  the entire squeletton in pieces  corn flakes  style. And then she  got   implants all   over and  they grow  bones back etc. So  for joker that could happen. About Thane the technology is here is just the  writers who didn't want to  save him. because they wasn't care  about him enough. Had them liked him  enought they would  have  propulsed   on  top  and even Liara would  seem  loveless.
The only problem stopping  Thane's  cure is a "wanting to do it" or not. Only this. I  bet you my favorite panties that if the  lead writer decide he like Thane he would suddenly got  Fenris  ghosting  hands and do his neck snapping to   the god child ^^. All it need is that.

Just need to find a way to make them want to save him and fix  some tings.
