You know what that reminded me of? Ever go to the mall and see some teenagers frantically sucking face on a mall bench because they have no place to do such things in private (and their parents would probably kill them if they did that at home)? I expected much better for my Femshep than a creepy makout-session in a hospital lobby when the Normany's loft is at Shepard's disposal, and Thane probably had an apartment on the Citadel if he was going to Huerta Memorial on a daily basis for treatment.

agreed, it was totally juvenille and awful... I was shouting at my TV: wtf is this??

Everyone else got a nice romantic scene, and we got that. I didn't find it romantic at all,and what was that noise she made at the end.

It kinda sounded like a cheesy porno. Which made it all the more cringe-worthy. The whole scene just made me angry, because I really don't see them making out in a public place like two hormone-induced teenagers.  They're both mature adults and Thane comes off to me as being a private person.

Now, if they were in Shepard's cabin... that's a whole other story. *waggles eyebrows*

I  agree. the entire scene seemed like it was slapped together just to appease us.  I also thought Thane seemed more like a private person and my Shep wouldn't be manhandling him in a hospital.

I'm not mad that Thane died. I fully expected it. I'm mad that it felt like he never existed after he died =/ apart from Shepards 'that was for Thane' moment when you renegade kill Kai Leng (which made me stupidly happy).

I wanted my forever alone emo Shepard. To be able to continue the romance after Thane died by having a picture of him on her desk, by not having all the LI's for ME3 start making a pass literally minutes after he'd died, by remembering him in her flashback leading up to the end.
And of course, to have some kind of condolence from the crew. The chat you have with Joker and Garrus after Mordin dies is lovely, I wanted so badly to have a moment like that about Thane.

I ended up romancing Kaidan in the end. I wanted to have some kind of romance, even if it was just an 'in memory of' kind of thing (and that damn paramour trophy) and as the game made me feel like the whole Thane romance was nothing, I just had to move on =(

Agree. I would imagine Assassins are generally low key out of career necessity and don't to air their private business in public. He even went to the hospital under a false name.

and with regards to tali and garrus, they are the definition of fan service.  and yeah,  a sexual relationship with tali is totally unrealistic and contradicts the lore they set up for quarians.  they did some ass pullin' to make that one happen.

@VenetianMask - most of us would agree that if there was no way possible to save Thane, then fine. But why does no one ever acknowledge his existence? Garrus asked me about Ashley!! Mmmm, she's been dead for 3 years and I'd kill her again! Nothing, from anyone. Thane deserved more. Wed eserved more.

I agree that Thane seems like a very private person. If it had happended in Shepards cabin or in a room in the citadel I wouldn't be complaining, but in front of the hospital window in public was just tacky. Did bioware really think we would find that romantic.

idk tho this is the drell that talked about tongues in other peoples mouths in one of your first conversations ever with him

i don't think he's as reserved as people typically characterize him

not that i thought the kiss in front of the window cut it or anything

I don't mine Thane putting his hands in and interesting place, but I don't see him doing it in public. Maybe he has a kinky side we don't know about.
Everybody else got a private session in a room. We got a public hospital with sick people everywhere.

When I saw Garrus stood in front of that wall I thought he was going to talk to me about Thane, and I got all happy (I loved all the conversations with Garrus). But then he just chats to me about Ashley? She's dead for a reason!
Made me want to drop kick the game out of a window. 
It really sucks to play ME3 as a straight Femshep.

Which is really the kicker, since they were *supposed* to go someplace more private. I don't consider a huge freaking window in a public hospital very private.

If I remember correctly, Mordin said "Oral contact" with drell has the hallucinogenic side-effects. I find it a bit depressing that we never get to see if that is true. 
Honestly, considering they kissed in broad daylight in the middle of a busy hospital, I would imagine a number of medical professionals there winced.
