They fixed the flashback scene so that Thane can be in it. But then during the memorial flashback, when they're talking about those that've been lost, they show Legion and Mordin, but no Thane. *sigh* Why does Thane keep getting forgotten?
There's no VS either though which kind of makes me feel better....lol

Nothing I have heard about the EC has had even the slightest effect on my current feelings on me3. I think we all knew that nothing was going to change in relation to Thane, and the other problems I had with the game (i.e. the beginning, the auto-dialogue, the graphics, the journal, and the lack of dialogue options for Shep) were never going to be addressed in this extra ending content. I will say this though, I was surprised by some of the things they did do, but still.......since I don't currently play this game, I guess it matters not.

So we shall see what they plan to do next. Will they ever consider giving more content to some of the characters who got pity appearances? Will that content be meaty, quality, or just a bit of lip service? Will Thane ever be given back his LI status that we all went into this game believing he would?? Will we be able to eventually save/extend his life? DUN, DUN, DUN! ;P

@coldi I pretty much agree, although I might download and play the end again just so Annie Shepard didn't have to die remembering Liara... It doesn't seem to have done ANYTHING that will improve the replay value of the game. I'll keep fighting, and keep sending round Thane but the general lukewarm - hostile reception to the EC doesn't really bode well for any story DLC. They say they are proud of the game butI wonder at what point in their life they are going to admit to themselves that they completely ruined their own trilogy at the last hurdle because that *is* what happened... I would never live that down.

True words, my friend.  And I totally understand you wanting to download the EC for your Annie Shepard; you already played through her import, so you might as well take the consolation prize they have thrown into the EC.

For someone like me, it so isn't worth it.  I only finished about half the game (actually less on my one import - Cate Shepard), and I deleted that save after boxing up me3.  The only save I had left was my ginuea pig Shepard, and since he was newly created in me3 (well, he was modeled after one of my Sheps still in ME1) I'm just not inspired to finish him out for the EC.  I have watched a bit on YouTube, and I will call that good.

As for putting up a fight for Thane, I think of it this way; I like the idea of finishing what we started, regardless of the outcome.  me3 feels like BW gave up and didn't finish the game (yes, it really did feel that way to me), and I don't wish to follow in their footsteps.  I think getting The Thane Fanbook and the Tribute sent, and continuing with the Thane Tour, is a good thing.  If for no other reason than for us; to say we had a will and mind to start and finish something.  To show that this is how much we care about the character, whether they do or not.  I'm not saying anything that most others here probably have said/felt, but I do love repeating things...<giggle>

 Is worth seeing the ending I think. 
You get to see baby krogan  and the crew.

I will go for Synthesis or control since there is no life for my Jade Sheppard without her Thane and on both this endings EDI and the Geth survive. Sheppard gets to be a big ass all powerful being on "Control" but he is more like a robot with Sheppards memories. Would be useful to have the reapers to protect the galaxy against any other threat.

No it doesn't fix the rest but I feel that now at least I can play till the end. I had stopped my playthrough after than's death

Same for me. I'll go with destroy pretending there was no other option. And about geth and EDI, well...

Their sacrifice will not be forgotten. Too bad reject ending doesn't offer us winning, but still I think it's good they added that.

Now if we could only get a chance to save Thane, the ending would satisfy me.

Edit: I also think Thane would agree that destroy is the best solution. Control makes Shepard immortal in some way- at least this is how i understand it- and I want her to meet Thane across the sea... Synthesis is almost like fairy tale and  for me it shouldn't exist, so I'll just ignore it.

You know what Thane NEEDS to live. Why because I feel the need to cry at Thane being the one to hold Shepard's name plaque. I'm not talking the crappy Destroy ending, I'm talking the one where she survives. There would be nothing greater than him holding and looking at it but not able to place it on the wall because he knows she's still out there somewhere.

That is bittersweet. Then I can head canon that he takes the intact Normandy and forces Joker to go find her. Or he'll neck snap his ass.

I don't want to hear...well, Thane is not a squadmate. He doesn't need to be...his body model just needs to be placed in that scene. In the Destroy/Shep breathes ending I believe the LI should be the one holding that plaque. Who cares how they eventually got there, the Normandy is intact at that point. Ugh, I just realized with the people on the ship now, who's in charge of my ship? James or Joker. Could you imagine Joker being the XO of the Normandy. Oh dear.

I had said James or Joker for my Shep's Normandy because neither Kaidan or Ashley are alive at the end of mine. I suppose I should have thought that out better but this was before they clarified the endings.

@utaker - That is EXACTLY what I want (and honestly, that is basically what I thought we would get, prior to playing me3.....yeah, I know sucka!) I really believed that Shepard would have a number of possible outcomes, including death, and disappearance, so yes; an ending with Thane holding on to the name plate with a "missing in action" ending would have been fantastic and bittersweet.

I am hearing some discontent among people who are displeased that Thane made it into their flashbacks. I wanted to laugh at a few of them but I kept it to myself. You know the ones in the past who told me, "Well you get Liara because she's important and you should have romanced her." Yeah, now a few of these people who told me this are getting Thane right up in their faces at the end. And they are not pleased. Well, welcome to how we felt. We weren't pleased to not only lose Thane early in the game but to get Liara as a flashback instead of him.

Meh, I told them to replay the game with an already dead Thane and then come and report back if he's still in there.

I thought at one time that they said there would be a number of different endings. I guess another thing they said that turned out not to be true.

I think that was supposed to be 16 different endings. 16! I couldn't stomach more than 1, how am I supoosed to come up with 15 more?

I wanted too but I sat here pleasantly pleased with the fact that they are getting a flashback they didn't want. How does it feel? I sat here and cried when I first finished the game. Thane was not even a memory. How sad was that? He was worth so little, he couldn't even be remembered by the woman he loved. Now, nearly everyone gets some green love at the end of their game.

While happy he was remembered at the end, I am not happy he wasn't remembered before that. I am still upset that saving him is not a choice. But I guess the fight continues....
