Opening the DLC file there are a lot of cuttof scenes that didn't make it to youtube yet. There is one where London is peaceful and full of Reapers, titled "surrender.bik" So I guess we will hear about those later.

Meh, I told them to replay the game with an already dead Thane and then come and report back if he's still in there.
Who did they think should have made it into their flashback? They got their LI in the flashback. Why should they care if Thane is there too. Out of all the things to be upset about that is what they pick. Do these people even have a brain in their head.

@Jecw...I know right? It's okay for us to suffer without him (permanently I might add) but it's not okay to have him show up in at least the hero's ending cutscene? WTF?

Thane doesn't always appear in the first set of flashbacks. I saw a vid on youtube in which he only appeared in the second set amongst other characters who died. What exactly is the complaint?

Just a bunch of selfish people.
The only reason we complained about Liara was because she replaced our LI of choice. Thane isn't replacing anyone in those flashbacks.

Wow, just popped back in and yeah... that is depressing. I wish people would stop focusing on just one thing and stop using the same argument over and over again. There were more problems with Thane than just his death.

Tweeted him regarding it. I was very kind and polite, while still expressing disapproval at the fact that they're still not listening. Let's see if he replies.

Why is it that everyone fixes on the death part? He was dying, you should have expected it. Do they not read the arguments?
The issue isn't that he died, it's about how early in the game he dies, how ridiculous the fight scene was when you had everyone else with guns, and how there is no acklowedgemnt of his death immediately after.
Plus, he is the only LI that dies where everyone else (Miranda/Jack) could be saved and it's one of two LI from femShep that get taken away.
I'm so sick of that argument. He's an LI. That should give him plot armor to at least the last quarter of the game. I'm sure most people here would not have minded hos death if:
-It gave the achievement
-Happened much later in the game
-Were allowed to have discussions with Thane
=femShep mourned for Thane and other characters acknowledged his death.

I wanted options. If I could sacrifice Kirahe to allow Thane to live, I would have in some playthroughs. And I'm still mad that it's femShep's LI that were taken away in such in appealing matter.

hi guys. i've been following this thread for a month or so, and only just registered my game because that cheap **** Mistress Minimum Wage kept me busy, and not to mention the whole registration process confused the heck out of me. now that last semester is over and i'm officially in summer break till september i hope i can dedicate a chunk of my free time to help you all. Siha means WARRIOR angel after all, and i intend to fight with all i've got for Thane. Now that the extended cut has been released, and people seem to be OK with the endings now is the time to get BW to pay attention.
i can get pretty aggressive when i see stupid crap. (AKA the entirety of ME3, and fanboys who insist Thane's death was 'badass' and that we shouldn't have an option)
i'm pretty sure i don't have to explain to you why i think Thane's treatment in ME3 was A DISGUSTING EVIL MUSHED UP TUB OF POOP. but let me just say that i agree with you guys and that all your efforts have brought several tears to my eyes.
HOWEVER!!! i suggest we step up our game and amp our volume up, where BW won't have any choice but to yell "OKAY!!! FINE!!!" after covering their ears with their hands yields no result.

what do you guys think about starting an IRC war room? for those who don't know, IRC is basically a web-based chat room where you can make your own channel. we could use it to discuss things in private faster and have people who can't register their games join in and still help out. it might help with activity too. (i can try and help people who don't use this if need be)
also i might not have much to compare with... but this thread seems a bit bare. we need to get more people in here for more participation, since this seems to be one of the few places where bioware actually listens to people. (going to go out on a limb and encourage all the thread lurkers to de-lurk. we need you. and you'll get 500 free karma points if you do.) there is no shortage of people who are pissed off about Thane's treatment, they're just not here or don't think they can actually do anything to help.

the majority of the female fandom feels very passionate about Thane's (and Jacob's) treatment. Garrusmancers in particular seem very sympathetic to us and we should ask our fellow xenophile friends for help. femshep fans are NOT happy that her choices were completely shafted, i mean what else does Bioware expect? female gamers are already tired of all the existing sexism in games and are pissed off about this, even if they didn't romance Thane.
so i suggest we go to where the female fandom is and make some kind of "signal-boost" infopost so that people who want to help can learn about what they can do.
things this post can include:
-a concise paragraph explaining why Thane's treatment in ME3 is horrible (this should be relatively short so that people won't get scared off from a giant text wall)
-links to this thread and the main Thane thread,
-links to all the Thane groups here on bsn, including the project groups,
-a link to a set post with all the sig banners and how to add them to your bsn signature
-links to the SaveThane twitter group, and MassEffect account explaining how they should tweet them about how they feel about Thane's treatment

LJ's got some mass effect communities around, we could post in them easily and hopefully get some people to help out from that. With deviantart we could ask all Thane artists to post a link to it in their Thane deviation descriptions if they want.
