I know that you are trying

I just want to give non-supoprters as little reason as possible to dismiss what we say.  These forums, and Bioware are dominated by men.  In these forums, I'd guess mostly males from 12-25.  Because we are supporting a FemShep LI, the temptation is just to dismiss our opinions as us being emo, immature, infatuated, young girls.

We aren't any of this.

But, we need to make sure that this comes across in our posts.  Try to be as well-spoken as you can; write with proper grammar and punctuation, try not to appear overly emotional--rather, come across as factual.

It's much more difficult to argue against fact than emotion.

Part of the issue in the other thread is the title the OP gave the thread.  I support changes to Thane's ME3 storyline, but not an exclusive DLC -- there wouldn't be enough demand for that.  So, we're getting alot of posters coming in to say Thane-exclusive DLC is a bad idea, when most of us actually support his DLC in the context of a larger Romance Pack.  I think we'd have fewer arguments if the thread had a different title.

I'm wondering if we need to get with the other character support/LI threads and see if we can put up some master thread for support of a Romance DLC Pack.

well it's difficult for me first because of language ^^' i'm german and always try to express it best in english but i guess sometimes it comes over wrong, more emotional that i want it to be, but i really understand what you mean, giftfish

Yeah... some people really are just looking to argue and so they're not even going to try to listen. No point wasting time on them. If there is someone that disagrees but is willing to have a proper discussion, then that's different. I'd actually find that constructive.

Do people think it would be worth me starting a thread on this?  Sort of like what HTL is doing with the poll/thread on their site?

Ok -- I'll try to do it before I leave for some errands yet this morning. 

if I don't have time, I'll work on it when I get back home this afternoon.  I'll try to put in links to the poll, as well as links to other threads requesting DLC for certain characters, both here and on HTL.  Also, links to I think it was the EC thread where alot of people talk about really wanting to see improvements to all the romances.

Just in after a few days-was dodging the forum because of the EC, hehe, since I only got round to playing it today-and headed over to that thread!

Glad they improved the endings...even if my Shep is officially dead now!

Bias here too. Zevran. Alistair is okay, but um, I usually play as an elf and that doesn't work so well. Besides, Zevran is...Zevran. I cannot resist him any more than I can resist Thane.

Actually, when I think about it...Zevran does have a deeper story. Lots of stuff below the surface, which Zevran haters never manage to delve into because...like Thane...they consider it too much effort. Crappy childhood, tragic past, lost love...hmmm....

I agree 100% I love Zevran, I think i had one warden string Alistair along once but they always end up with Zev.

@mnomaha it is so true, his character is much more that the face he likes to put on.
