Ok. I'm honestly convinced that Thane was never intended to die on the Citadel. Why would there be this Kirahe Thane thing? It seems so....strange. Where else in ME would there be this situation that relates on two very seperate ideas/characters?
And then the lack of dialogue about it. Why would the characters never bring it up? Because Thane wasn't going to die there when they wrote that dialogue.
I'm totally convinced that Thane was going to have something else and they had to change this for whatever the reason (Time/Tech/Space Constraints) and they shoehorned him into the Citadel so he wasn't totally forgotten.
And then the lack of dialogue about it. Why would the characters never bring it up? Because Thane wasn't going to die there when they wrote that dialogue.

^This. I may have wished for a choice no matter what, but the whole scene (and the dialogue session you have with Thane before the Coup) just seems so.....detached. Besides; a salarian (Kirahee, for example) makes so much more sense than Thane....then, the lack of dialogue.....meh. I get that Blah Lame is an assassin, but it isn't so much about that as it is the target....I'm sorry, but I will always believe that in circumstances like that, Thane would go and find/protect his son....if he had the fortitude to do so.

Thane intervened at some point in that scenario and tried to stop Udina but the VS (much like the current Cerberus scenario) gets in between them. Thane is shot in that scenario by Udina iirc, and dies (I have a vague memory that there was an outcome where he didn't die but I can't remember atm)
But I think RShara has a better recollection of that scenario than I have, I just pieced together what I read myself from the various leaked scripts floating around, and my memory may fail me when it comes to the details. So, don't take my words as hard evidence in this case.
But honestly that scenario made more sense in terms of including Thane on the Citadel.

Why I say that Thane/Kirahee is different is because Kirahee isn't a stand-in replacement for Thane. The two have very different roles.
Wreav is Wrex's Brother and, though they share very contrasting ideas, Wreav is in control of Urdnot if Wrex died on Virmire. Kaidan and Ashley are near identical (Their scenes happen at the same times though the content differs a bit) and share the exact same role. it's offical now. I'm going to meet Tully Ackland, Jessica Merizan and Chris Priestly as a repoter for the german SNN on the gamescom. I've asked Tully about it on Sunday again and i got the reply today, that he talked to Chris and Jessica, because these two are coming, too, and they would be glad to answer the question of the german fans. So I'm gonna have a meet with them and i thought about that we may give them something a present.
I say it first, i'm there primary as a reporter, but i could just bring a along something small from all of us to keep them reminded. What do you think about it?

Maybe a few t-shirts like the design that Ottemis/Lucky Thirteen did, that Beanniebat translated in to real life. Simple, but to me, quite affective. Just tossing things around......

i asked daijocotje before if there are some left, but she has not responde anyway...but yeah, i just thought about some small present for them...thane realated, nothing really dealing with his treatment, just so show how awesome he was...
because i has to be carefull by myself. i will bring them something tipically german too^^

Maybe (if we don't have enough time for a full-fledged project) we could make a "teaser" of the projects we are working on with something simple saying "We still haven't forgotten our drell"?
Just from the top of my head...Then again something like this could be sent along irregardless if anything else is given to them, you know like all those teaser pamphlets you used to get with videogames in the past, showing future releases and screenshots et al.
And echo on coldi here looking forward to the interview!
I know it can be nervous to be the one asking questions but it will be fun at the same time!
(Granted, I interviewed the heads of a supermarket while being filmed so it wasn't all that exciting, but it was nervous, I'm a rather camera-shy person actually XD)
