hehe....I just wish I could take part in these surveys (they are set up for those that finished the game, and in this case downloaded the EC). Can't they just have a question that says, "Did you finish this game?" "If not, why not?"

They originally didn't have Thane listed. They finally changed it after some voiced their opinions on this....and the fact that they bothered to list Dianne Allers....

He was my Femshep's love interest/Best friend/Lover and then Bioware killed him.....*depression*
I wish they had a part where we could put our own message in!
Mine would say: Well to be honest my femshep just lost the love of her life, how the hell could she be strongly driven to fight the reapers? She has nothing to live for anymore!
Edit: Ugh....sorry if I sound like a drama queen but it's a fact on what I said!

I always mark ME3 in terms of my enjoyment, I'll leave the *cough* 'objective' *cough* reviews to the media.

Yeah, the poll was not really designed to fit my experience, I just selected LI as my main motivation and gave all the rest crap scores to evoke my feelings... my result will be - I was fighting for Thane, and I didn't enjoy the game at all.

me too...i just brought me3 because i want to kno how my squad ended, i did not care so much about the reaper (who has been really a little role in this game... it was more cerberus than anything)

In the "Why saving Thane wouldn't trivilaise him" thread, I posted direct quotes from the game about the difference between ME2 and ME3. I would appreceate the support on what I posted.

I would have jumped in, but I am in an out of conciousness....got sick. Hate being sick, especially during summer.
Now that we have that lovely Thane dailogue...ummm..."thing", off of DA by Maqeurious, it will be easy to grab quotes when needed. Though, I do see that there may be a few lines missing. (unless I missed them, which is entirely possible). One that comes to mind is the "desert" dialogue....for example.

I've been replaying ME2-yes, still not done, lol, I'm taking it slowly-and the differences in the way Thane was written there and in ME3 are so tragically obvious, it's got me staring at my screen often!
The difference between the caring, deep, well-thought out way Thane was written in ME2, a character the writer knew what to do with and where he wanted to take him and ME3 Thane, who is more than a little 'out there', indifferent, coming off as flat and contradicting himself, a character without real depth...a character the writer had no clue about, is so striking and so unbearable at the same time!

^This! You hit the nail on the head, @Hisilome. I have actually been trying to put together a side by side comparison of dialogue/characterization (similar to my me3/LotSB letter dialogue analysis), but I just keep getting side tracked. There are so many poignant moments with Thane in ME2, where he shows such depth, and evokes incredible emotion.....I was reading through a few of my old essays (fancy way of saying "rants"...ha!), and I found one that had me going off on how "not my Shep is" in me3, and how that made me react to Thane being "un-Thane" like during the me3 convos.

Molding a PC to enhance the story and character interactions; this more than anything defines a fun RPG to me. By the time I see Thane at the hospital (and we have all beat the dead dog with a wet noodle on this one), I don't recognize the character I am moving around with a joystick. And Thane's character upheaval just makes me go numb........I guess in some ways, it was a blessing in disguise that I WASN'T connecting to my Shepard any longer; that way every dumbazz thing that came out of her mouth wasn't due to my playing incompetence.
