It's just rather hard to get a foot in the door if you aren't an EU person. You think they could at least admit the commonwealth countries too!

Definitely not France or Spain though. France is crazy expensive and you already know about Spain. I really want to go to Ireland. It's the whole citizenship thing though.

ireland was short before a collapse too a few years ago and the job chances there are pretty bad and yeah, i know about the non EU things...sure uk and ireland are better for you because of english as mother tongue...but also netherlands would be possible. they're the best englsih speaking guys in europe...

Well, I wouldn't mind learning another language. That's not a problem at all. I've just always wanted to go to Ireland and Scotland. It's a kilt thing. :)

German looks incredible. My only problem is you guys capitalise the strangest words. LOL But I was looking at going to Germany at one point. I think it was a Teach English position.

@mnomaha
I envy you trying to live in Europe. I wanted to live in Germany for a few years but my husband changed jobs so I couldn't. I'm still upset about that after two years.

Okay, you capitalise the strangest nouns. LOL

You don't capitalise 'i' or you don't use it?

Thanks Jecw!

Lol. i guess it is too. and yeah, I understand what you mean by German. its written form is WEIRD!!! (lol, joking Moira!)

And yeah, I wouldn't mind living in Europe either. it would be nice, if I wasn't looking after Mum, to go live overseas for a year or two. :)

oh, hey! If you DO get to move to Europe before August, you could come to Copenhagen with the rest of us! YAY!

But make sure it's after December. Mum and I will be arriving in Rotorua around the 13th.

My sister lives in Amsterdam and lived in Rome before. Both are very pretty but if you love art art, history and good food, I'd suggest Italy. not sure about the current job market though. I lived in UK for a while and job market was tough. Luckily I was there with Motorola so it wasn't a factor for me.

On Thane news, I am loving the 30 days of Thane series on twitter. Is awesome!

The moment I realize that clearly being a Doro/Warlock fan has somehow given me this wierd thing for the german laguage. Hahahahaha shame on me for finding the german laguage sexy.

Oh now I remember what I was coming in here to give you all, in my absence I did manage to find something you all have been wanting to know, I know who wrote Thane in ME3. I got a name. Have you found out who wrote him in my absesnce? If not I can share the name with you all.

Wait it's Coldi's and the Giftfish's B-Day? Well happy birthday to you both.

Yeah agreed everything sounds better in german, I don't care what anyone else says.

NOOOOOO You already solved the mystery, it was Chris and he wasn't being a good helper with his work on Thane. He is a disgrace to his own last name. Okay sorry I had to say it and did you really expect me, not make such jokes with a last name like that?

When did you all figure this out?

Also I feel like Wrex in ME3 when he comes back on the Normandy and gives Shep sh!t about loving what they did to the Normandy and not having a widow. "Rahahahahahaha, I missed this place"

Happy Birthday ladies :D

@mnomaha We'd love to have you over here in Scotland... word of caution - the weather really really really sucks. I don't know about the work / visa thing other than it can be pretty hard. Everyone I know who's non EU and works here came over to study... kind of figures though, I do work in a university :)

I didn't know it was anyones birthday.
Ladies Happy Birthday.

I was in Germany for about a month visiting my husband when he was deployed there. The best deployment he ever had. I loved it. I didn't want to leave. That's why I was hoping to get stationed there, but it didn't happen. I ended up in Japan instead. Now that he's changed his job it won't happen.

Wherever you end up mnomaha I'm sure will be great.

@giftfish - Happy Birthday Lady! Cake and booze on me!! No; literally.......get it off me!

*wink*

Thanks to all you lovely, twisted people, for the thoughtful birthday wishes! So everyone needs to drink with me later (and for those that don't drink alcohol, choose your non-alcoholic beverage of choice). I think Gin may be on the menu tonight. Though, maybe I just need to buy all the ingredients to make a couple Neck-Snaps. Decisions, decisions......

Wait!!! It's Hepler, not Helper. Am I correct? Please? Because you know...I am only on my first cup of coffee...

@Beanie and Annie...Scotland is always on my mind. Which is weird, because I'm not Scottish. It's the same with Ireland. I'm waiting on my family tree and hoping we can trace the French side back to France. That would make my life so much easier, but then again, this is *my* life and when did that get easy. :)

Heavy cost...but the cake!!!
