Just....Wow. That's sort of how my Shepard was in ME3 at Thane's bedside. And, on the ship, He was in his room a lot. He didn't go out for dinner, just had EDI deliver it for him.

Also, he would stare at Life Support knowing its resident would never return...

Same here.. And I literally stared at life support pretty much every time my Sheppard was on his deck

My male Shepard only went in once after Thane died..he couldn't handle it anymore than once...my Male shepard is still scratching his head on why his Best friend couldn't be saved! He's pissed!

So is my female shep who is sad and furious and is standing in Huarta Hospital and not budging till there is some way to save Thane...

My shepards only went into Life Support once. I really couldn't do it anymore after that. It's just so sad and empty. The entire ship feels that way.

I love that drawing. Thane's expression is great and I like that Shepard is teasing him and getting him to have some fun.

I really wish they had gotten a date on the Citadel (like other characters did).

I don't get it, what's with the sand?

Like I'm sure there's meaning (like when he hands Tali a rock), I just don't know what it is...

One of the discussions in ME2 led to Thane/Shepard discussing going on vacation after the mission was over. Thane mentioned he'd like to see a desert which is what the sand represents in the drawing. Presumably they never did get to go. It's never addressed in ME3.

The drell homworld was a desert. Thane, in ME2, wanted to vacation in a desert with his Siha. Its another homeworld symbolism thing.

I wish we had been able to take Thane to the desert like he wanted. We didn't even get to visit his kahje.

is there even a desert world in ME2 so you can fake it?

I was trying to think of one earlier...

None as far as I recall. Maybe one in an N7 Side Mission but that's not exactly a desert world.

Out of the main places, Tuchanka would be the closest but that's dust and debris and radiation, not sand and sun.

I can't recall a desert planet in ME2 either, canyons, forests, snow - Check.

There was one in ME1 one though...Shep can even have an apartment there...

(Yes it has mood-killer music*, but the view is "Spectacular"! And 99% guaranteed privacy! So...totally one of the best places for Shrios fluff, at least for my Shep)

Not in ME2, but I was wish we could take Thane to Intai'sei in ME1. I think that was a desert planet where Shepard had her apartment.

Don't really need a "desert planet". Just like Earth, there are probably many planets that ALSO have deserts (along with oceans, mountains, rain forests, steppes, ect....ya gets da point.) :)

I think Earth would have been a good planet to take him...there are dry places here especially deserts!

I have been thinking lately though...I know he answers the question when you ask "What is the state of Rakhana now?"..... But what about their homeworld? I mean wouldn't the ones that got left behind be dead...or ya think there might be survivors? You think if they visited there that it would be a huge graveyard or there could be survivors? I have been thinking that lately....and I know you can only guess on those questions...idk it kinda makes me think of Chernobyl...I mean that's what it could look like on their homeworld...kind of ..I know they weren't hit by anything nuclear I'm just saying their cities could look just as empty as Chernobyl....

Ugh I'm just jibber jabbering its almost 2 am where I'm at...maybe it's time for some zzzzzz's lol!

EDIT: Also would his homeworld be safe and good enough for his people to go back if they wanted to?....okay definitly time catch some zzzz's! Image IPB

I could get into all of this, but what makes me sad... all the people we have lost since the beginning.

I love the art above, so beautiful...I wish we had got a date at the Citadel with Thane as well; it could have been done, sighlike so many other things!:(

How is everyone doing?:)

The codex entry says that there are Drell still living on Rakhana, in small, nomadic groups. There's no reason that Drell couldn't go back.... hell, seeing as Rakhana is a dry, arid home-world, couldn't going there be like a form of therapy for Keprals sufferers? Like when they would send TB patients out into the countryside for the better environment....

They had SO many options with what they had already provided with in game information! It didn't even need to be a quest! Thane could have mentioned that he'd gone!

Is it in the codex in ME 2? cause if it is I don't pay much attention to the codex in ME 2 my main focus is Thane Image IPB...and making sure everybody survives the SM!

And I agree it could have been like therapy for those that have Kepral's...you can obviously tell that they didn't give a crap about this game (ME 3) nor most of the characters from ME 2!

@Hisilome  Hello there! *waves*  I guess we are all doing okay...still fighting the good fight, hope you are well?!

Heh, I distinctly remember the codex stating that the population on Rakhana doubled during Pilrimage season (OMG Why didn't I remember this tidbit sooner?)
*Adds this as a note of def. interest to my fanfic*

Pilgrimage ? For what ?

I think for those who still worship the old gods (temples perhaps?), from Mass Effect wikia:

"Today Rakhana is a cemetery world, home to only a few thousand living in clusters never exceeding a few hundred. However, during pilgrimage season the population can double. "

So, Quarians enjoy visiting Rakhana?
