*facepalm* Honestly.....Ok, a recap.

I wrote a riff on a known dirty Limerick above, as a silly response to the poster right above me (quote, "Thane must die."). I don't like to feed those kind of responses, so instead I generally try and make a 'funny'.

Those lovely silly ladies who responded, decided it would be funny to tweet it....I am very confident it was meant in fun, and nothing more. They were not trying to be rude (maybe a bit crude, but only for the lulz as I was doing myself, on this thread).

Apparently Squeegee saw this as a rude tweet, and felt inclined to comment. I can't change how she saw this. No one was meaning harm, and I totally admit the limerick was puerile on my part. Not intended to offend anyone, and in the context it was written, as stated before, it was meant to lighten the mood from the poster above my original post.

Now that THAT bit of drama is done.....coffee and donuts anyone? ;)

Ohhh I didn't know what it was about either. I thought you were just being funny and random. I like funny and random.

I didn't realise it was in response to the derp post. I edited mine "for maturity" and well, because I didn't want to feed it.

@ coldi... I didn't realise it was a response to our regular troll, but I did find if funny, and I'm sure the guys at BW would not have been remotely offended by it... can't see how anyone would really.

Anyway... Thane Plushie!!

@Roxy - thanks for the link! Bookmarked it. :)

@mnomaha - yeah, it was in response to that poster, but you know me; I don't necessarily need a reason to be silly and dirty...HA! :D

@Annie - Yay! Dala Horses!!!! I still have a few of these from my youth (my family is Swedish. Have relatives that live in the province of Dalarna. And some in Stockholm.) Does Ottemis have Thane now?

Wasn't squegee talking about the troll wanting Thane to die ? I got the impression that was the one being talked about. Troll was certainly rude.

I can't wait until I get him. I will probably need him for a couple of weeks because I want to take him up to Townsville, out to the farm, and out to the Whitsunday Islands (where I took my Thane plushie first). I only hope he won't get drunk like mine did and make me have to stop him from riding the mermaid statues at the restaurant on Daydream. >.<

I don't know if he would like it so much. Life up here very much revolves around water. And cattle. Water and cattle.

Oh, you will NOT believe the colour of our ocean when you sea the photos. I guarantee you you will all think it's been photoshopped, but it wouldn't have been.

I wonder.... I'm going to be in NZ with Shell over Christmas and New Year.... it might be an idea if he is in NZ between 14/12 and 25/1 for me to pick him up there, and bring him back home, and travel South down the east coast, since I think everyone in aus who wants him lives on the east coast, and then send him back to the us from victoria.

Oh, that reminds me, if I get the plushie over your winter he may be stalled here for quite a while since that is our monsoon season and where I live get's cut off both north and south every time it rains.

now, what was I talking about... oh right.

Yeah, we have to tweet that quote. It's one of the best I've seen and I read almost the entire thing. Took forever. I think I fell asleep with about 30 pages left.

And, um..... I'm starting to wish I hadn't tweeted that lymerick. It was so much fun, and I'm pretty sure they would have gotten a great laugh out of it, but ...

Dammit! I didn't do anything wrong, why should I feel guilty about it! :crying:

Coldi! Can i have a tea and a donut please? And the extra special something if you have it too.

*goes suck on a twizzler*

Myth! Don't you dare feel guilty about it! It was in good fun. Too bad (some) people don't realise that.

I have seen far worse from those bioware guys, including the infamous "keep your hope alive" tweet by the unfeeling one.

Don't sweat the small stuff. Do sweat the fact that you haven't sent me your stuff for the accommodations yet.

I´m agree, Thane is the Mass Effect 2 best character , he deserved much better, a detail that Bioware ultimately included him in the credits in the Extended Cut....

@ Atxalandaplexus.

First off: Wow! That's some username you have there, my friend. Totally awesome! Blew my mind just trying to read it!

Most of us here think of the credits in the EC as them trying to buy us off, but in our minds they didn't even do that well. Thane is the only Love Interest who is guaranteed to die, yet if he is Shepard's love interest, he is not shown among Mordin, Legion, and the other honourable dead. He is the one character who definitely should have been there, since they made him die no matter what.

He did deserve better. Thank you for that. With the way we've been treated these last six months by the other fans on these forums, your support is greatly, greatly appreciated.

But ultimately they need to completely rewrite Thane's content, add more, and give us an option to save him (one with a lot of conditions and is very hard to do, too. We want to work for it.) THEN we will see about continuing on with BioWare/EA's future content.

@mnomaha: I'm working on it, okay? I want to give you a good list. One that's I've narrowed down so that you don't have so much work to do in addition to moving and everything.

No no no, Ren not useless.  Been afk from this thread from a few days.  Just busy.  Thanks so much for what you put together for us.  We'll feature it in an upcoming post

@Coldi -- zomg you live in Portland....OR?  Are you drinking Stumptown?  Cafe Umbria?  Oh how I miss St. Honore, Tin Shed, and Voodoo donuts.  Sigh.

@Everyone -- thanks for the tweets of this week's quote.  Keep on that!  Also, hop over and make some comments on the blog if you can.  We've had several so far, but would like to see more people interacting with us.  Sometimes just takes a few more to get things started :)

Somebody explain Voodoo donuts please. One of my favourite authors lives and bases all her books out of Portland. I believe an Oreo Voodoo donut was specifically mentioned.

LOL.  My husband is from there, and we were there for almost a year for work back in 2010-2011.

We might actually moving there (or somewhere in OR/WA) when we are done with the traveling work thing.   That is if we don't move to Maine, Canada, the UK, or New Zealand.  We'd consider several other places in  Europe, as well, but we're both in pretty technical fields, and the thought of having to pick up another language in order to work there, is pretty intimidating.

Canada or New Zealand seems the most likely at this point (for outside of the US locations), but been reading some not-so-flattering things about NZ, so not feeling as positive about it as I  have been.  That and the longer we wait to go, the older we get, and the less likely they'll let us in, LOL.

Anyway, we'll see....

Oh, you would like  Voodoo.  They are super-yummy donuts, that are often unconventional, and the business itself   tends to have a bit of a "grownup" theme.  The shop downtown is super tiny, dingy/quirky, and tends to have some "unconventional types" as employees.  People literally wait outside for 1-2 hours in the mornings to get a donut.

Slogans = Good things come in Pink Boxes, The Magic is in the Hole
Some donut names = C*ck and Balls, Old Dirty Bastard, Gay Bar

They make very original donuts, like ones topped with cereal, cookies, etc,  They also have "regular donuts", but they tend to "spice" things up a bit, lol.

Portland tends to be a bit weird, so they fit in nicely.  Sort of the epitome of the city.

@mnomaha - Are you referring to the series of books by Devon Monk? And yes, that would be a Voodoo donut. Giftfish gave a very good list of some Voodoo favorites. :)

@giftfish - I can completely understand wanting to try some different locales out. I wish my husband and I would have done that ourselves......ah well. ;P As for NZ and Canada, talk to mnomaha and Cosmochyk for some further insight. Yes; I am volunteering them.....apparently I'm pushy that way. heh! :D

And who you callin' weird?!?! Actually, I think most of the PNW has a fair share of the weird market. I say that with "love". :)

I shall definitely need to discuss NZ and Canada with mnomaha and Cosmo, then. We're considering Wellington and Halifax.

We need hospitals + salt water, career-wise, and tend to like decent-sized cities with lots of stuff to do, but are still accessible to some smaller surrounding towns. Reasonable cost of living so we can buy a house (which is why Vancouver is out), open-minded folks, etc....

Hey Ghost!

And to everyone, are we protesting anything specific?  If not, I am protesting the fact that I am too old and busy to resort to imagination.  Tell me BioWare, how does Thane pee?  I see no buttons or zipper on his pants.  Does he have to drop his suit down to his ankles?  :o  Oh wait, was that an inappropriate face for my question... (snicker)
