Protesting the Poor Treatment of Thane Krios' Romance

So like what if they incorporated that into Thane's character. Like, a romanaced Thane, if you visit him often enough, and keep his "health" high, then he doesn't die in the battle. But if his health is too low, he dies.
idk I was hallucinating charging krogan when I thought of this

Ok people!
BW has released that they are "listening" regarding the endings etc. but will not respond yet as more haven't finished/played the game.
So, I will leave this thread here - united we are probably stronger than separated into each LIs thread!
We also have a Facebook page - see my sig!!
Take back the love! Only good thing about separated threads is that we can be more specific and keep the conversation going.

Makes me wonder if he ever got his wound treated
I mean, what doctor would go :I fixed your wound, you're dying, here's your coat, put it on.
That would have been one thing, but later I saw him "melting" into the table with full pants/shoes/coat on!! So basically his "armor" set still intact. What? They couldn't WAIT to get Kaidan's clothes off!!
Yeah, exactly. It broke my heart to not only be locked out of the room but to have to stand in a hallway watching half his body disolve into a bed? NOT COOL BW!

Fast Forward to the Citadel thing, well, we all know how that went. Major weeping tears, sobs, I was hyperventilating by the time the prayer was done. Husband comes in again and this time swears at BW for making his wife act like this. LOL. Head back to the Normandy, see the Death Wall, I start in again, this time curled up in the fetal position wimpering. Husband comes over saves the game and puts the thing back to the Xbox dashboard. Then proceeds to tell me, "it can't be that bad maybe you should just put it down for the day." I'm curled up sniffling...first Mordin and Thane right after...I can't take it anymore, make it go away.
I calm down and push through the game, cry over Legion. Crying with victorious tears when I nail Kai Leng, shouting just seconds before FemShep, "That's for Thane, you SOB." Then in semi shock when I realized I just heard my own words echoed back to me. End game...chose Destroy. Cried again when I realized Shep was heading across the sea.
At the end, I was traumatized. I sit here and wonder, "all this over a game?" So for anyone who thinks they are silly for being attached to Thane and cried..well, I completely understand. Everyday I look at that Fight For the Lost Assassin poster on my wall and think, "WHY did you do this, BioWare? What you did is not acceptable. I will fight for Thane." Then tear up but at least I'm not in the fetal position anymore.

That's an interesting idea. They'd have to give more conversation options though, because I only talked to him a gazillion times because I was waiting for a new conversation option/tree to appear (sadly disappointed)
But considering that his cardiovascular health isn't what it used to be, perhaps Femshep visiting too much would end up killing him instead

I wish I could exaggerate this but unfortunately, it's true. When I first got free reign on the Normandy, I went to the 3rd floor, looked at Life Support and thought, "he's not in there, do not do this to yourself." Went in anyway, noticed one of my ships was in there, grabbed it...Destiny Ascension (scoffed at the name hoping it wasn't a sign of things to come). Looked at the empty chairs and the coffee mug...cried (yes, before I even encountered Thane, already crying) thought about all the times my Shep was truly at peace in this room, looked at where his guns were (and cried again..sheesh). Got out of there and vowed to stop torturing myself. Went up to my cabin and the first thought, the last time I played ME2...I left Thane in here and saved the game. Cried. Went about my business, got back on the Normandy...message from Thane!!! Yay!!! Get there and we get well...what we get. Go see Kaidan, decided he needed to never see the Normandy again, did the quest with Kasumi. Back on the Normandy, I'm thoroughly baffled by what just occurred at the hospital. Went back into Life Support and cried...for a very long time. Long enough that my husband yelled at me, "to get the "f" out of there and stop torturing myself."

ALL OF THIS!! I was fortunate that my hubby was out at my first encounter with Thane, but the tears fell - I had to put my controller down, and I wandered around my house asking "why" to the walls.
Got back in the saddle, then Mordin (had to stop again), then THANE (could not stop sobbing). Had to save game, go lie in bed, put a cold facecloth on my face. Hubby comes home, immediately knows what's wrong and tells me "he's gone to a better place" - at least he was trying to help.
Get up the nerve to fire it up again, and yep - Legion - with his "I'm sorry" - weeping again. By now the though of Mr. Krios is all I need to cry anywhere, anytime. And I have an almost eidetic memory - sometimes very handy - times like this, not so much.
Fast foward to the end of the game - nothing left to live for, everything is hollow, and I've now seen countless bugs, issues and flaws that I no longer care. Swan diving into oblivion...I SEE LIARA. Then it was ALL RAGE.

Yeah, if I wanted to see Liara in my last moments, I would have romanced her in the first place. And why do I always see Joker? He's a good friend, but not like Garrus, who is always my bff.
I always saw Joker as one of my Shepard's best friends, but then the way he 'interacted' with EDI just threw me off and I couldn't stand seeing him everywhere:pinched:. But that's just me.

Yup...this. My husband has been very understanding of all of this (he's naturally sensitive). I had the same reactions as both of you, but I was not even stong enough to finish.

I didn't even notice that his body was sinking into the bed. I tried looking into the room but didn't have a good view.
I hated being locked out too. I thought mayb they would let you stay in the room for a while, but when the scene ends your automatically locked out .

Not exactly the right thread for this, but the picture they ended up using for "Tali's true face" turned out to be quite obviously a stock photo that was not changed too much. There's some contention about it.
Back on topic...
If they were to make a DLC for Thane, what would you guys like to see from it? I'm curious
I'd like the opportunity to go to Kahje and get a treatment for his Kepral's Syndrome so that he can live for a good number of years more. And romance scene. Also, I want to have a scene where we promise to go to a desert (or go to one, you know, seeing as though for all we know the galaxy might end). I'd like to see the domed city where he lived.
Finally, it would be awesome if you could then have him join your crew as a squadmate.
Sadly, this would all be dependent on whether the ending gets changed or not...Seeing as though my current feeling of emptiness kind of makes it difficult to replay the game to do this if it were to happen.

Everything you suggest would be welcome. I would hope that dialogue between Thane and Shep would fit the tone of the relationship in ME2 rather than the teenage nonsense in ME3 hospital
There really should be a Drell war asset, they are sooo f****** awesome.

This is, of course, an old status update. I was bored >_>
