I thought we were suppose to go to Kahje in ME3, but we didn't.

I would have killed to go to Kahje, was so hoping to be able to FINALLY see Thane's homeworld (well... 2nd homeworld...).  You get to see the other alien race's homeworlds... (Asari - Thessia, Krogan - Tuchanka, Salarian -
Sur'Kesh, Quarian/Geth - Rannoch, Turian - Pavalen)  but not the Drell or Hanar?  You even get to see a round-about way to the Elcor homeworld a little bit via side mission in ME2.. think you land on it but you don't know it's the homeworld unless you're paying attention (you get a war asset there too in ME3).

That would make a killer DLC though, a dlc fixing the Thanemance anyway.  <3  One can dream...

BTW:  I'm newish to the forums really, how do you all put that Fix ME3 romance banner in your sigs?  Would like to support it but just don't know how or where to get it.  :\\

This was posted in the protesting the poor treatment of Jacob Taylor's romance in ME3 thread...

http://twitter.com/#...124151607070721

The tweet answer is dated March 14..... do I dare hope?  Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Edit:  Then again going by past tweets this isn't exactly uncommon for bioware to give us hope and not deliver/dash it under a herd of stampeding elcor feet...

We've seen it, but I most of us don't trust anything bioware says at this point.

@Aurien,

Someone posted it on a few other threads last night. I've decided to be a bit hopeful, considering it can't possibly get any worse right now. They already killed him, and did a terrible job at it, and the "romance" that came before it.

It... whatever it is, could only get better from here, ne?

I actually thought Thane's death was well written, it made me hate Kai Lang even more and I actually got to the point where I DID want to kill him. Needless to say, I was extremely happy at the end of the cerberus base assault mission.

The issue most of the people on this thread have with the death is that there is virtually no difference (and more importantly, no amount of emotion) between a Shepard that romanced Thane and one that didn't.

^^^This.  And that afterwards he's virtually forgotten by everyone, including those from ME2 that knew him AND Shepard herself, except the person who killed him.  Codex entry included.  ><

It's not the death scene everyone is unhappy with, it's how the romance was handeled in ME3 (or not handeled, rather completely forgotten about as admitted by one of the devs).

I choose to not ever say that particular phrase... as there have been instances where I've been proven wrong.  >.>

I am still hopeful however, there's got to be more to this than we were given.  Until a dev or someone comes out and says "no, we're not changing anything, what is there is what you have" then I guess I will remain forever hopeful.  hehe

I figured they left Kahje out because Reapers really aren't going to target the Hanar or Drell. If I remember correctly, the reapers only target those which they consider are too advanced or some crap like that. I believe this because Harbinger likes to point out in 2 (when you bring Thane with you)... Drell: useless, insufficient numbers. Which I wanted to reach out and slap him for that, I could take all the personal taunts but that irritated me. However, I can see TIM sending Cerberus there because anything that would advance a non-human race (Drell being cured of Kepral's) would be something he wouldn't be in favor of or just the simple fact that he'd know that anything that would benefit Thane or his species would have an impact on Shep and well, he does like to screw with her.

They actually did target the hanar and drell. The subquest that you do with Kasumi has an indoctrinated hanar attempting to bring down Kahje's planetary defenses.

Also the Reapers target any race advanced enough to use the Mass Relays.

I thought the Hanar were pretty advanced.
I think Bioware just left it out because the Hanar played no major role in ME3 at all.

Oh yeah, while I finished the Kasumi quest, I was still distraught over the initial hospital visit to really pay attention. It was more the case of mashing the X button to get through it. My bad.

They really could have, I mean.... I know I said this already, but they WORSHIP THE PROTHEANS!  We're leaning on prothean leavings to end the Reaper war! Why wasn't the one aspect about the Hanar that was banked on since ME1 carried through!

RAAARRRGH!

I wish I could get over this.

i'm trying to salvage my ME3 experience with a garrus LI PT, but the thane moments are still bumming me out so hard....in that they are basically exactly the same as they were with my romanced thane. :(

I'm surprised they didn't play more of a role. Most of the game you are fighting Cerberus.
I almost forgot about the Reapers.

I know they kinda explained it, but still, the idea of Cerberus
having this huge army with jetpacks and awesome things... well they only
had like, less than two-hundred people when I talked to EDI after she
was unshackled in ME2, and I certainly never got a jetpack while fighting the collectors...

Cosmic horrors from beyond the veil of time and space? Belay that nonsense, team black and yellow is here!

There was just so much of Cerberus, and those jetpacks. Where did they come from.
Cerberus was flying everywhere.

Cerberus (Jack voice) I don't know how many times I swore under my breath about the constant fighting of these guys. They became a little more than an annoyance. I don't know why they just didn't sit down, think about ALL they introduced in ME2 and realize that unless they wanted to put out a 4 disc game, there was no way they could do the characters justice and wrap this up properly. While I expected 3 to be the end, I would have had more respect for BW if they had just come out and said, "Listen with the introduction of all these characters in 2, Cerberus, TIM, Harbinger and our need to include them all and because you want them, at this point we have reached a consensus. There is no way we can do ours and your story justice unless we expand it to 4 games or 3 games and an expansion. We made too many statements about certain aspects, equal treatment, our fans are important, etc. and the ONLY way we can do this is expand. We are sorry." Now that I would have respected and understood. But instead...we get this.

Then I just found out what happens to Jack if you don't do the Grissom Acadamy mission. I thought that was pretty lame.
