Hey guys, first post at this board but I've been lurking day and night for almost a week.

Obviously I'm joined with you in disappointment over the horrible treatment of Thane and the Thane romance arc (what romance arc?) in ME3. But that's not what I want to talk about today!

When Sherlock Holmes was famously killed-off in the original Holmes stories, some fans wore black armbands to mourn him. I don't think there was a connection, but eventually Sir Arthur Conan Doyle actually did "resurrect" Sherlock Holmes from the dead and write more stories about him.

I ended up changing my Shepard's N7 stripe to green after he died in-game, and I never regretted it. But there's no way to show that to anyone in real life, really. So I thought maybe we could do something similar and either wear green armbands or bracelets or something like that, in remembrance of Thane, and/or in protest of how he was handled in ME3.

I don't know what this would accomplish except maybe a sense of solidarity, but I thought I'd share the idea with some likeminded people and see what you thought. Everyone would make their own, I wouldn't want to sell anything, but I thought it might be a nice gesture to the character, like a badge of honor to represent our love for him.

Apologies if someone else has thought of something like this already and I've missed it.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea. I have some unexpected free time, which I was going to devote to ME3, but I've long scratched that plan. So I could make a few extra for people who don't have time/resources/... Just PM me and I'll see what I can do

This is a fantastic idea!!  And if people sent me pics (you could PM for email), I could post them on the facebook page for all LIs!  I can probably get the other ignored LI threads to do their own as well!  I also happen to have the mailing address for Bioware in Edmonton () , so they may be receiving some pics!!

I played MP last night and someone was playing as a drell - all I could think was that drell got more lines in MP than they did in ME3.

So, finally got some serious playing done today and finally got the chance to tour the Normandy; inititally, I was miffed at the fact my Shepard's model ships were scattered all over the place-I actually muttered at the Alliance for tampering with my stuff,lol- and of course, I went into Life Support...The whole ship seemed so...empty and I have to agree with everyone in here now, Life Support somehow seems the saddest place to be in, the chairs are there and the coffee mug!

Why not a small banner with black, white and green? Just something to place in the corner o four signature. That would convey the same thing. We could do multiple colors too to signify the other ME2 LIs. I was thinking along the lines of military ribbons that are given for theaters, acts, qualifications etc. So a badge of solidarity. I mean Shepard is a soldier so he would have ribbons to wear. Thoughts? 

I would support having a forum 'badge' like you mentioned in support of Thane. I'd also be perfectly willing to send in a picture of me with a green armband (if I can find one anywhere....St. Patrick's Day is coming up so I'm sure I could find something)

I would LOVE a "logo" for Thane - I'd have a shirt made!!  I've been looking but BW only has mens, and at this point I really don't want to give them any more $$. 
And if we all had one made, we could consolidate all the pictures into one giant collage to send daily to BW until they get the point

And we did try appealing to BW after ME2-that fabled banner- and they seemed to be listening at the time!:/ I wonder if they're not waiting to surprise us, I'd like to believe they are!

Morning all! Trying to catch up; had to run my Pug into the emergency room last night so a bit out of sorts. (He is fine; just looking at me suspiciously like I might make him go back.)

So, armband/badges/t-shirts....sure, I'm game.

Gotta say, I'm getting really tired of waking up every morning and having a Total Recall moment of Thane in that damn hospital...Ugh! I have to wonder if the writer/s responsible for Thane honestly didn't know what his views were on that. Like they were never given the full dialogue script of him from ME2. Need Brain Bleach!

I made the mistake of going into a GameStop on my lunch - ugh.  Right next to our lovely Mr. Krios, Miranda & ManShep on ME2 is ....ME3.  Just Sheploo, standing there.  Looking guilty.  BECAUSE HE FORGOT ABOUT THANE! 
Lamest.  Excuse.  Ever. 

@coldwetn0se - I "finished" (I use that term loosely) the game over a week ago, and I still think about Thane and the horribleness that was ME3 at least 100x day.  I may never get it out of my head.

Well, my husband once laughed at my ME addiction and wondered if anything could cure it. I'd say yes, this crap treatment of Thane and that ending definitely has cured it. When I think of ME3 I am so physically and emotionally repulsed that I don't even want to play the other ones. When I think I can actually play a game again it won't be any version of ME. Been playing games since the first Atari and this is the first time I've ever been ill just thinking about playing ANY game. Gut punched doesn't even begin to describe what happened here.

The ME universe is tainted now for me as well.  I have been able to play some DAO and DA2, but just feel sucker-punched.  I really do hope to get past it at some point, so I can al least play the first two ME's again.  I'll just have to make up my own ME3 story in my head to get closure on the trilogy.

I hear you... I've been a hardcore gamer since I can remember too and have mostly played fps, ect. But it was Mass Effect that really emotionally connected for me and now I feel sick thinking about playing it again.

We really shouldn't have to do that. Bioware should have given us that closure. Instead they gave us crap.
I can make it up in my head too, but then I'll remember what happened in the game and feel bitter about it. Especially when I see how much effort they put into the ME1 LI's.
