@wildannie,

That recent twitter post is the only thing that has me even a little hopeful. Maybe I'm being foolish and pathetically desperate, I don't know. But right now, Thane is dead. Anything they do with him would have to be fixing what they gave us in some way.

And if they're fixing it, they could also be adding other options. I certainly wouldn't mind redoing the game to get them.

I just checked that twitter post, the 'hope dies last, have faith' response appears to have been deleted :(.. why is there not a crying emoticon??

What? Are you sure? Have a link?

https://twitter.com/...st, have faith!

I still see it, don't you? (Screenshot for posterity!)

On another note, should we do a series of twitter messages until we get another response?

:crying: <- that ones kind of crying.

On that note, I think I'm done with Bioware for a good while. When something I used to look forward to with expectations of bringing me enjoyment just brings dissapointment, it's time to move on to things I still enjoy.

Make sure to check back in every once in a while. They may be able to pick themselves back up.

Thank You!, it wasn't showing up when I followed the original link... phew!  just some twitter weirdness I guess.  I'm still not getting my hopes up... I did just send a message to Patrick Weekes with our plight, I hope he takes the time to read and respond.

edit: whoops I mean @sylph_14... I want lots and lots of tears!!!

Despite what they had planned, I still want to push for change because clearly they made a mistake. Not just with Thane's story, but by deeming the other ME2 characters less important...especially after we were told that there wasn't going to be favoritism going forward in ME3.

You're right, and as I can't play the game I've got some free time to make some noise.

@Visii, You don't know??  social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/7648602

Jessica originally said that she was having a hard time keeping up with the multiple threads, and she had begun creating spreadsheets - I am a spreadsheet fan (oh my sad life), and figured if need be, I can just hand her one already done for Thane!!

You should email her your spreadsheets, save her some work and give us Thane gals some press! She's already responded in a twitter post that Bioware is discussing the ending and post-game content. I'm not sure if they're interesting in changing any of the romances though. What are the odds they'll take the time to do so? I don't have much faith left in them at this point, they've basically left us Thane fans out to dry. The DLC they're planning might not have any character involvement at all, it could just be Shepard after the ending :( I don't think any DLC they could put out will make me happy unless it includes more Thane.

I'm going to still hope they amend the romances-especially Thane, but honestly, they did a real number on Jacob too and they have to do something about that, offer some explanation in-game at least to rationalize it to those who romanced him, as well! A friend of mine here had to go out and buy a new controller for her PS3, because she had romanced Jacob and was so peeved at the treatment he got, she threw the remote out the window...of her 5th storey apartment!:P Apparently, they're not so shock resistant-not  the players, the PS3 controllers, lol!

But yup, posted in the suggestions thread earlier-I started off to make a short post, but then a wall of text came out of nowhere!:innocent: The endings do need to be addressed, aye, but some consideration for the romances would be nice-I've come to expect that from Bioware, I'm sure a lot of us have-and when they mess up this badly, well, it stands out even more!

I'm a bit late to respond to you Visii, but your post in the feedback thread was amazing and it truly hit home for me.

I was wondering if I could quote it in my own post in the feedback thread?
(It's too spot on to be forgotten among all the other posts)

The part that really hit home in your post was when you addressed that someone who is ill is not defined by their illness.
As someone who is currently watching someone close to me slowly fade away because of dementia, and almost lost another loved one to stroke ten years ago. I feel absolute sympathy for you and your mother

Your poor friend! I don't blame her for getting angry, I was tempted to curb stomp my N7 edition for a little while. Bioware hasn't even said anything about Jacob romances getting shafted in ME3 have they? I wonder if they "forgot" he was a LI as well. I'm not hopeful about them doing anything different with the romances, I kind of feel what's done is done. They've given us false hope before and I'm reluctant to trust anything they say now.

Thank you, and go on, please quote it! I was going to post it everywhere it would be relevant, but didn't wanna seem pushy.

Then I was like, screw it, this is for Thane! I should probably just make a whole thread for people to just post their issues with the other 99% of the game that people are forgetting because of how atrocious the endings...

I think we should still fight for a better romance. Since they mucked this up so badly, I think the fans deserve it... regardless of their supposed 'plans'.

We should do some more tweets and keep posting. I condone this. Yes.

Keep sending stuff to Merizan and post in the threads we know they are paying attention.

They need to make up for this.

Who should we send tweets to? I never know who to send them to.

I advertise the facebook page every chance I get...including Keythe's facebook page. ;)

He even replies sometimes...just not about reading the letter. And I really *want* him to read that letter.

...why is life support accessible but not the mens toilet? why did they cover the window? To add darkness to an already dark room? Why, oh God why, did they leave the table, chairs and mug? Is it to intentionally rub salt into my wound?

I'm so with you. Why all the empty rooms if most of them won't be occupied? For the love of god, EDI, lock Life Support, don't let me even think about going in there!

Yeah, that bothers me a lot too. Why is it still open! Why is the mug there!

Had they PLANNED to have Thane over or what, because I can see no other reason to why it'd be still open.

Unless it is to rub salt in the wounds, which is just downright cruel.

Yeah, I'm bothered by the eye-catchingly empty Life Support room. It just....Seems weird that a place on the ship would be accessible but otherwise completely unused.

Though I've always wondered.

What is the Life Support room supposed to be in the first place? Other than the hide-out of the best drell in the galaxy.
