I think the problem, which seems obvious, is the lack of Role Playing that people can do in this game. I read some of the comments on the "Are you satisfied with the Romances" thread, and whether they were or not, I noticed most complaints were more about the sex scene (or lack there of), or not enough screen time with said characters (even the Big 5 LI's). But my biggest complaint is not having the ability to role play my character in a romance with MY chosen LI. We ALL should have been fighting for that from the beginning (and not just rping the LI's, but all relationships, and quest options). I keep going back to those that think that Thane's presence in ME3 was good enough, or Jacob 'getting on with his life', is fine, so we shouldn't complain. But my question to them, is why are YOU NOT complaining?? Anytime you dismiss, or limit other players choices, you are cutting out the Role Playing aspect of the game. Doesn't matter if YOU don't choose to rp things the same way I do, just having the option broadens the RPing experience. And it certainly does NOT negate your ability to RP the way you wish (i.e. choosing the LI's you want, playing out quests differently, reacting in different ways to other NPC's, ect....) Options are what make these type of games great. They encourage replay, and sales to DLC, expansions, merchandise. Bah, I'm tired.

So it's exactly 4 minutes of dialogue with Thane when you first meet him *sigh*

Since there's been talk of people wearing green bracelets fro Thane (I don't remember which topic it was exactly) I've been looking at some possibilities. I've found one company that seems to have a good price for those nifty silicone ones, but the big question is : how many people would want one? The lowest number I can get is 50 and the price/piece would be around 1,5$ (calculated from € since I live in Europe). If we can push the number to 100 the price would be less than 1$.
If we're going to do this I need to know that I won't be left with 80 bands, My arms are too short to wear them all!

So anyone still interested?

Edit : Here's a link to a picture with some examples: shop.allpremiums.nl/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/i/siliconen_polsbandjes_bedrukt.jpg

I'm putting this here again so it doesn't disappear between posts yet. When I get a few more people interested I'll make a seperate topic to decide what we'll put on them, the shade of green to use etc...

So please, if you're interested let me know, so I can decide if I can go through with this or not asap :)

I'm in too!

Edit : Maybe everyone who gets a bracelet can take a picture of them wearing it and put it in this book, two birds with one stone :)

I'd be in too - and if someone can get me Thane on a t-shirt, I'll wear that too!!!

Count me in.

I'm in on all of it...sorry for the laziness.  Right in the middle of my kid's b'day party today, someone had the pleasure of telling me that my lone friend from my teenage years passed from MS.

But yeah, throw me in wherever and I'll busy myself.

Saw this vid and it pretty much sums up ME3 in a sadly hilarious way.

Let's face it...if you were in ME2 and your name is not Liara, you did not get anything like you should have. We definately deserved more. Especially since you delayed the game three months. You couldn't come up with a shirtless Turian in that amount of time?

or shirtless Thane. How realistic was it to have him still in his leather outfit right after an operation.
This is the best they could do.

Now I'm picturing him in one of those silly paper hospital gowns...

This is an awesome end to my weekend :wizard:

That's what I thought, too. How unsanitary it was to wear dirty clothes right after an operation.

I think for some people as long as it isn't their LI of choice they just don't care. I think some wanted him to die because they thought it would give more dialogue and screentime to their LI, but I didn't really notice that for anyone except maybe Liara.
I would have never wished this kind of treatment on anyone else. I honestly don't know how someone can look at what Thane and Jacob recieved and think it was ok.

That's just more of Bioware being lazy.
Kaidan is shirtless, and Ashley is wearing a t-shirt.

I feel so bad for Jacob fans. I feel bad for us too, but at least Thane acknowledges our relationship with him. It's completely mind boggling to fathom the reasons why they would do this to their fans.

Hell, even James gets a shirtless scene where he's getting that N7 tattoo on his back. By a Batarian in a refugee camp. I'm sure nothing could go wrong there

It's actually more of Bioware being clumsy :( The lines of the vest are modeled in to the character, instead of done via displacement mapping. So to have a shirtless Thane without weird bumps and lines across his chest and shoulders would require a completely different model.

Why are you looking at me like that? I didn't try to do this. You have no proof.

Do we have any penicillin on board? Seriously those cargo crates are nasty. Apparently only the humans and Liara get shirtless scenes...
