Ok, so I've been reading through the posts on here and completely agree with what everyone is saying about how the Thane romance was handled in ME3. I could go on for quite some time about how much I hated it and annoyed I was by what a ****ty role he had as a love interest, but I would just be repeating what others have expressed.

I do however have a theory for some hope for a cure in the DLC future... maybe. Here it is (spoilers ahead, you have been warned!): After the whole Tuchanka mission and curing the genophage, it is time to go back to the Citadel for my least favorite mission where Kai Leng dashes all my hopes and dreams. BUT, I noticed on the galaxy map that the Minos Wasteland system is blinking like a new mission is opened up there. You go inside and the planet Aequitas is labeled green like there should be something to do there, but there's nothing and scanning does nothing. Some people have said it's just a bug, but I think there will be future DLC there. When I read the info on the planet, it was said: "Turian explorers have discovered hot springs in the polar ice caps, heated by magma in the planet's crust. In a strange combination of science and hucksterism a small facility exports water from these springs, which is bottled and sold as having medicinal properties. The funds are then used to maintain a research station..."

I know it's a stretch, but perhaps this research station could be trying to find a cure or maybe these springs can help with the symptoms of Kepral's. Just a theory, thought I would share with my fellow Thane-lovers.

Hmmm... I never noticed that about the hot springs stuff.  Probably because I didn't read it.   The Minos flashing, yes, it annoyed me when there was nothing to find.  With all that we've come up with, the stuff is basically written for them.  Now it just needs to be made.  I'd be willing to pay more for it too if cost was an issue for them.  Can't believe I said that but there it is, for Thane, I'd give them my husband's money too.

Yeah if a DLC involved curing Thane, it'd be an instant sell for me

Hell, I'd steal my girls college fund at this point. If she had one. :(

But I would...dammit...give up smoking!

Edit: thought I'd better quantify this statement. If it's a good, life prolonging DLC in which I spend quality time with Thane, *then* I would give up smoking. double dammit

My husband and I quit smoking when I was 35,  so THAT would be good payment for Thane cure DLC.  Maybe I'll start smoking again if they don't give us........no, no, no!  Image IPB

Okay, I'm gonna vent a little because it's kind of a protest. And it's all my fault for going into the Ashley thread.

BitterShep/

*They* want a dlc because *they* didn't get enough screen time? Are you effing kidding me? They made it to the end of the bleeding game ffs! You wanna trade places?

BitterShep/

edit: ouch, stop it! Sorry people, she gets a bit crazy *thud* ****, sometimes. Get away from the damn keyboard!

I don't want to say mean things about the VS because of well, ME2 and everything but damn it's hard not exploding bitterness everywhere after Thane's "romance" continuation...They even got their bloody emails read aloud.

If there is a character DLC it should be for ME2 specific LI's.

I'm normally not the type to begrudge something like this, but what we got, especially in comparison, is completely unacceptable. It's hard not to be bitter/resentful.

I avoid those threads because sometimes my temper gets the better of me. I don't have a BitterShep, I have a Malificent Shep, she's just nasty to everyone...except Thane. I did try with her but I could not do it so I made an exception. My plan was to have her die at the end of ME2 but I couldn't kill Thane so she allowed Garrus to live too..well, she wanted to be on the Normandy with Thane.

I don't think anyone is ever going to be satisfied with what they get, they always want more. Well, I don't see how the Liara fans could physically want more actually.

It was a sad day when bw stopped caring about Thane. We've got no one on our side now, it would seem.

Well, BitterShep used to be Anya Shepard. Then she played ME3. Now she spends her battles alternating between shooting the baddies and shooting the squaddies. Except Garrus and Vega. They all get drunk, play cards and tell war stores. She's a bit like PDS.

And I really, really, really protest the treatment of Thane Krios in Miss Effect 3. Just thought I'd better officially say that.

*PDS saunters up to BitterShep*  "Hey bebe.....

No worries on starting smoking again.  That was 7 years ago when I quit.  Cycling is my other hobby, besides video games.  You shoulda seen me that first year I started riding (right after I had quit)  ZERO lung capacity....a hill only about a block long was enough to send me gasping for breath.

*barely raises head* 'sup PDS. Tequila's on me...literally

Yeah, that's me too. And I have asthma, which seems to be a prerequisite to living in NZ, originally from Omaha, NE.

You're. Kidding.

I can't even-- I don't-- I can't--

WHAT. I sincerely hope Bioware ignores them, because that's freaking ridiculous. It's just drawing attention away from the romances that really ACTUALLY were neglected in ME3! They even got a full fledged sex scene and everything!! ARGGHH :pinched:

@sunnie...exactly. I don't think I've been that...irritated...all day.

The Thane thread cheered me up considerably though. Well, that and some tequila with PDS.

Hey, a lot of the other folks who romanced ME2 LIs stand with you.  As do those of us who think shafting particular LIs is just a pile of bull.  I sound like nauseating Paragon Shep when I say this, but we all have to pull together ^_^

Yes it cheered me up too enough that I tried to play ME2, I got through Freedom's Progress, got impatient and Gibbed Thane into my squad.  I know I miss his epic entrance but I wanted him in the game like...NOW!!!  Then I started Garrus' recruitment and stopped.

@Sable...Hi there. We're also on facebook (see my sig) and it's for all of the ME2 romances.

@sunnie...yeah...ridges baby!

@utaker...Remind me again how that works. It's been ages since I played ME2 with that thing.

@yamainu1984 - You expressed yourself beautifully. I can barely spell most of the time (ya think I'm kidding with PDS's grammar...HA!), and I AM a native English speaker. So know worries, and well said!

Cake?

Cake! You guys are just love here :) I love to read anything from you since you feel the same deep way in all of this :) Love it.

I still have no twitter account at all but when I return home from work I will get one for myself and will support the download there too.
