Protesting the Poor Treatment of Thane Krios' Romance

I went to youtube and watch a few vids about Garrus, and I was ok maybe I'll romance him. Bought the game and became hook, Me2 was amazing. I loved everything about it. I started romance Garrus, didn't really feel a connection to him. Then I found the love of my Femshep life. When Thane drop from the ceiling my mouth drop. He quick, fast, and smooth. I was in love, I tried to romance him but he told me to come back when no one has eyes for me. Sorry Garrus fangirls he was dump in a heartbeat.
I had high hopes for a cure, and then I took a Bioware to the knee........ what happen to his romance, they really did put him on the back burner. And what really grind my gears is everyone saying he went out bada** . Really? So it wasn't bad they gave him space cancer, they had to stab him and then to top it off he dies in a hospital bed.
I was so upset by this, I didn't have no desire to finish the game. I did however finish the game and took everything/everyone with me. I already been on twitter. So please send me support links *turns on try-hard mode* I will do anything to help get that cure, I can't draw sadly. Maybe I just write a poem or something. Please excuse my grammer, I'm using my phone

We also have a facebook page. I spend a lot of time here because, well, I can't even draw a stick figure. The facebook link is in my signature.
And poems are welcome and totally awesome.

This one centers on making a Fanbook for Thane (a book compiling art, fiction and other fanworks regarding Thane):

and this group which centers on the mistreated ME2 Li's:

I was so devastated when I didn't have the option to save him, no matter what. I don't get how they let us kill off the entire Council in ME1, but Thane throws away his life for the salarian councilor? If I had to choose between Thane or letting the VS and the council die, I bet you know who I'd pick (and probably most of us). Thane did NOT die an awesome, epic or noble death. He didn't save an entire race of people like Mordin and Legion; he saved one of the most expendable characters of the entire series.
I don't understand why it couldn't have been some difficult choice between a bunch of war assets and him...like someone said above me, (sorry, I don't know how to quote properly...I'm bad with forum stuff. :x) but Femshep deserves a little bit of selfishness in the galaxy. And how selfish is it when Thane is the one who loves her for her? That was gorgeously written.
I know I can't contribute much, but I wanted to let you guys know that for every one of you guys voicing your opinions, there's probably a few of us being shy and not saying anything.
You're inspirations.
Please don't give up.

Hello! I'm a lurker, but I finally got the guts to post. I've been following this thread for a couple weeks, and pretty much everything I've felt or thought has been said. Honestly, I appreciate everyone sharing their opinions because it makes me feel less alone when dealing with Thane's situation.

Hi and welcome, it's great to see you post. I would have been all for a difficult choice and it fits nicely with, "It's difficult. All things worth keeping are." But to be honest, I don't think it really would have been much of a choice, she'd save him. When I took Cameron (red head one..have 2 but she is the one who I first played ME with, so lots of f'ups there), any way when I took Cam through 3, I did think it was pointless for her to give a crap about the Council. She killed the Council in ME

Anyways, welcome Nokomis!
I was a lurker too. I mainly posted in private groups, but this is too much to contain in one area. So here I am!

Great poll, I think you covered all the options!
You should make a separate thread for it, so you get more votes.

I would like to sign this.
I think it's absolutely horrible that the characters of Mass Effect 2 were downgraded in Mass Effect 3. To me, what happened to Thane and Jacob was unacceptable. I also agree that the rest of the ME2 cast deserved better as well. You don't just forget that these characters exist and that people are allowed to care about them the way we do.
Popularity shouldn't matter. What should matter is giving everyone an experience that allows them to walk away from the game feeling satisfied. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. What makes things worse is that Mass Effect 3 is the last game. All of the characters and their romances should have gone out with a bang not a chosen few. Thane should've had a choice.
Keep fighting guys. I'll do my best to offer support, even though I can't actively post here anymore.
... damn, double-posted. Sorry, thought someone else posted in the interim.

I had been a lurker on DAO and DA2. Occassionally throwing out the odd Fenris post, or showing crappy phone camera shots of my Hawkes. But once I got excited about me3 coming around......cuz I luv me some Drell......I started post occassionally. Then......<BOOM> Thane's character (and Sheps IMHO) get NUKED. Now, I can't stop typing........................................................................
Haha yeah, I only became an active poster when I got past Thane's death and the ME3 endings.. now I can't stop typing, but i am increasingly becoming disheartened by bioware completely ignoring us even now.. but I will continue to hold the line! Even if my uni work is suffering a great deal because of it!

Honestly, they're probably so stressed out about the ending hatred that they don't even want to think about fixing the romance issues.
I almost felt sympathetic for them, just for a second.
But it went away when I realized it was their own damn fault.

My wish is that they will choose to add more content for Thane (more conversations not centering on his death would be great...) I know they stated that they always intended for Thane to die, but considering how ignored he was in ME3 I think they should add a choice for a cure as an apology.

I don't think it was bw that always intended for Thane to die. I don't think they knew what they were going to do with him. However, "dropping the ball" and otherwise forgetting his existence is inexcusable.
And choice is what we are mainly about these days. Some for of choice like most of the others got.

I, completely agree with you in regards to them just completely forgetting him. It was so jarring to get back from the citadel and not have a single person mention Thane, or even have Shepard mention it for that matter. We just get his name on wall, oh and Kai Lang... stabbing him was somewhat satisfying >
