You didn't miss much. The cupcake idea was scrapped and the Thane fanbook will be continuing as planned.

We decided not to do cupcakes and stick with the picture book or whatever it is. Probably easier that way. Less cash involved. XD

the banner which is hanging in their office (and which they seemed to forgot <.<) there was about 200 shepards who wanted a cure.
maybe she can organize something like this again.

The fanbook is just a collection of everything Thane related, fanfic, comic, art....

Even just advertising what we're doing to DA artists would help.

The cupcake idea worked well to catch Bioware's attention in a positive way for the Retake/Endings group. (They've been responding to it on twitter ect.) So, it was just brought up to see if anyone wanted to do something similar for ME2 characters who were overlooked, not necessarily cupcakes, but quite a few people preferred not to so idea dropped. The artbook is a great idea and I'm sure it'll turn out great. I may contribute to it as well, but I'm also a little concerned only a few people in Bioware will actually look at. It'd be sad if after all the hardwork everyone is putting into it it gets tossed in some dark corner...

Totally admit I can not draw....did I mention, I CANNOT draw.  So.......I tried to draw, and in Paint no less......on a laptop.....Bwahahaha!  How is it that in my MIND, I completely see what Thane looks like....coloring, markings, ridges, fringe....yada, yada, yada.  But, when I actually try and commit it to paper (ok, NOT paper; computer program) it really no looka like him.  Hmmmmm.....could be because, I CAN'T DRAW.

I will however, push on and then post this 'Chagal-esqu' masterpiece for your viewing pleasure..............."Damn it. Coldi!  Mine eyes!!!", says the group collectively.

The banner got lots of attention. Bioware hung it in their office. The put it on their facebook page. Then ME3 come out and it's like they forgot all about it. I'm not even sure if it is still in there office. It didn't seem to make any difference. I think the fanbook is a great idea. All we can do is hope that it doesn't get ignored or tossed in some corner.
I know about the cupcakes.
I don't think the cupcake idea would have worked for us. Especially since another group is already doing it.

Even if it just makes it to the bug report someone will notice at some point what's going on.

I tried to get their attention in similar fashion. I tweeted that I encountered a glitch where the game loads wrong dialogue, and I assume its a save import problem. Didn't catch their attention though.

well thanks for the information, just wrote to gamergal, but i expect, that she is also active now lets see what comes out.
i just think about writing an email to bioware...with a lot of name under it, but's so uncreative and my english is bad xD i  wrote my sadness about it in the offical "critizies" thread here but i think there are so much posts no one will read all of them.

I don't see anything wrong in trying any of these ideas. Fanbook, wristbands, tshirt, banners, ect. I'm happy to support them all if I can. Maybe they make no difference or get ignored but if we can catch anyone's attention there is a slight possibility we might get something more...

It doesn't have to be art, it can be screenshots/photos etc. as long as it's related to Thane in some way. 
Even if you can't contribute with any of the above we're thinking of making some kind of page for those who support Thane. It's still in the works currently I'm helping yamainu1984 putting art and text together. (There are a few practical things we are discussing)

that's right. it just can't go on with him like this. i mean, just to ignore the fact about his fan base, they used thane for the advertisment, how can he become so unimportant?

i also hoped to speak to him about the transplantation. i know, that it will not suit him, but i liked to have the option, to shout at him, bag at him to do it. just to see, how desperate shepard is about it and not kinda "normal" questoin for an  ill man. it hurt how unemotinal shepard has been while talking to him. no reaction in her face, when she asked him, how many time will be left

i guess it has to be in english right? because i wrote a fanfic in german, how shepard and thane meet across the ocean after the end, and my renegade shep is really pissed of about the catalyst and tells him everything.
(that would be nice to, just to speak with thane in the game about the acutal development, about the interaction of salarian, to complain about stupid dalatarasse or something)

I know....this was for the lulz.  I already joined the Fanbook on DA last week.  Was originally going to contribute my PDS files, but....not entirely appropriate.  So, I'll just keep those for us to giggle at.  In the meantime, I may do what Visii and mnomaha were hinting at doing, and just do a couple one-shots.
