Still not understanding what you are trying to say, but okay...
Also in most polls, Thane gets a better showing than Jack, and sometimes more than Miranda. He's generally first in the ME2 romancable characters (Tali and Garrus had established bases from1, so I tend to count them as from-1)
All I was just saying is that if you remove the humor from the interactions in and off the ship there it's got to be replaced somewhere else. Anyway, Jack and Miri were the perfect odd couple for the humor. Got me on Jack, didn't know, and didn't really care.
I don't need to focus selfishly on one or another by dropping him, her or whoever out. The only ones I felt were bothersome were growing on me by the end anyway, no need to be a snotty cherry picker by then.
I still thought why the hell not an Elcor on my Squad, a Batarian, hell even a Hanar, just so much more that could have been brought in, dropping most of the past squads entirely like IN ME2 in the first place for the new crew members.
I still wanted them all, damnit, they were MY squad and I ****ing did my damnedest to save them all or get the job done. Like Mordin, let them go out as they needed, to have their redemption, doesn't mean I wanted them to die. Some had to, period.
Hell, why there wasn't a way to save Thane from the disease kinda threw me too. Yet those polls prove again Jack got no final romancing either, so there it is. Pop polls decided the content at least somewhat.
