You don't know? You must have been... in a Thane-deprivation induced coma.

I'm with you T_T.

Essentially,  the indoctrination theory goes that all the plot holes and inconsistencies of the last part of the game are the result of Shepard being indoctrinated. Convienent, ne?

Out of the final decisions, Control and Merge are seen as effectively "The Reapers won" the Destroy option (and even then it has to be the destroy option requiring more EMS than one can naturally get in single-player) is the one where Shepard breaks free of indoctrination and destroys the Reapers.

The issues with this line of thought, however.. well if it was all just a dream, than why would the Reapers give Shepard the ability to destroy them all? Wouldn't the destroy option just be another figment of his imagination? This theory also doesn't explain away or fix the Normandy crash, among other things.

Also, unpleasant implications: if someone the indoctrination theory is true, it means that the real ending of the game is yet to come.... and that means most of us paid $60+ for an incomplete game.

No
I heard that. I thought it might have been something new.
Like the entire game never happened. Just wishful thinking I guess.

I wish I only paid $60 for this POS game. :( I got screwed at $136 NZD for the N7 edition.

I really like my theory though.

Yeah he is the only LI you can't talk too. I was so mad I didn't want to talk to anyone in London but I did. I knew my Shep was going to die so she said her goodbyes. The only time I cried during the goodbyes was with Garrus, Joker (the last convo on the ship before landing), Wrex, and Jack. True to form, she ignored Liara. Well Wrex wasn't really a goodbye but she stopped to hear his voice one last time. Then I cried when my Shep died not because she died but because she did what she had to do and went off to the sea.

As I like to imagine, Shep had one too many celebratory licks on the drell after destroying the collector base and hallucinated the entirety of ME3. It NEVER happened, none of it.

Which ending did you choose?

I talked to everyone. Thought Liara's gift was a little strange.

Actually, by the time I got to the end I was pretty 'meh' about the whole thing. The game was already ruined, but I have to admit, the star-kid gave me a wtf moment. I just killed as much as possible and died. Game over. Hope Irikah doesn't mind sharing...

Yeah, there's a thread about that  "Did Liara rape Shepard". Not sure, could be...

I chose to destroy the reapers. I avoided Liara and for good thinking on my part. I don't want her mind melding with my Shep. There are some who are convinced she had ulterior motives for it but I find it hard to believe she would invade Shep like that. Either way, mine didn't do it.

I did do a second play through, still did not talk to Liara but in that one I used Faith, my dope. She chose Green, her line of thinking...Thane is green so she took a swan dive on that one.

I wouldn't put it past her. She was doing that thing like Shep tried when she first saw Thane....running her hands down his arms...except Liara (of course) managed to do it without graphic problems. It was overly friendly IMO.

She has no choice. She's sharing.
By the time I got to london I was just tired of fighting husks and banshees.
I picked destroy.  I thought that kid at the end was just dumb.

I hate banshees. I mean, I really really ****ing hate banshees. I can survive three brutes but those banshees kick my ass.

Destroy was good. I was dead. Happy the gawdawful game was over.

I hate the banshees too, oh lord the screeching is what does it for me but they are not the ones who killed me the most. It was those dang Phantoms during the Citadel thing. I was too busy worried about Thane and why in the holy hell did I just leave him there that I was not paying attention. Trying to fight with tears falling down your face will cause poor performance too. One stab...dead. They knifed me the same way Leng got Thane which was an even more painful reminder of what just happened. It was only there though, they didn't bother me later on.

I was on a rage and actually melee'd my way through all that. Still pissed, but can't be bothered leaving here to turn on the ****ty game.

The banshees always seem to sneak up/gang up on me. How? I have *no* freaking clue, but the next thing I know, I'm getting some banshee loving up close and personal. I bet they have really bad breath.

No, it is not wrong. I can laugh at the fact that ONE phantom hiding around the corner got me multiple times. The reason I was not paying attention, not so funny but man that one Phantom, it was brutal. After a few times I knew it was there too but it didn't help when I kept thinking, "Shepard why did you just leave your boyfriend back there, he's hurt, what is wrong with you?"

It just screams youtube video tbh. LOL

Yeah, I agree though. I'd ask "what were they thinking" but well, they weren't, so why bother.

I laughing because you said they knifed you the same way kai leng knifed Thane. But seriously it was sad what
happen to Thane. The good is that in Cerberus headquarters you knifed kai leng the same way he knifed Thane
and say "that was for Thane you son of a ****".

I hated the banshees too. I thought they were so creepy. The husks were just annoying, and looked like something from a bad zombie movie. I didn't like the phantoms either. Kai Leng kept letting them do all the hard work fighting you at the cerberus base, and Jack gets turned into one if you don't go to Grissom Academy.

Shepard just left him there on the floor to go chasing Kai Leng. She didnt even bother to check on him first. I'm surprised Bioware didnt just have her walk right over him.

It's very frustrating, to say the least. This game could have been so much more. It could have been the epic finale to an awesome trilogy. But instead they got greedy and lazy. Shame really, they could have maintained their faithful fanbase and added a whole new crowd.

Did they even gain a lot of new players?
I would have thought that most of the people had already played ME1 or 2.

It's the only thing that makes sense Jecw, especially with that stupid MP (in the last game of a trilogy? Really?) You don't have to have an import at all.

Yeah sunnie, a terrible unforgivable shame.

I tweeted my Awakening video to Bioware, as I believe it represents the relationship with Thane pretty well. What do you guys think?

It's the last game in a trilogy, chances are a great majority of people have already played the first two games, or at least ME2, right? As for the PS3 players, they'll never be able to play ME1, which sucks for them. I can't imagine not playing ME1, it sets the tone for the entire series (ME3 fell flat on that). It seemed like they wanted more people to play the games when they made the PS3 move, maybe they should have tried implementing MP then if they were so keen on it.
