Don't get my hopes up for any kind of debate with BioWare. If they were after people accusing them of buying reviews they'd ban them, not close one of most important threads for people hoping for fix of endings.
So I'm loosing hope for BW to take any of feedback into consideration. They say they want it, but that's pretty much it.

Casey and Mac are afraid to debate with their own writer team... They will never debate with us.

HAPPY ENDING / VARIOUS ENDINGS:
- While Mass Effect (especially ME3) is a very dark story, but stil that doesn’t mean there can’t be positive ending. And even with one, galaxy is still mostly in ashes, with dead kids, torn families, lost loved ones, for Shepard - Anderson dead, some other friends dead (Mordin, Thane, Legion). I’d say it still would be pretty grim. That’s why “ponies and rainbows” argument seems to very least untrue.
- We don’t want destruction of relays or Shepard’s death removed. We just want this to be one of possibilities. Next to ones where Reapers win, Reapers loose, relays stay, next cycle comes and so on… We just want options and choices. Three games told as that there are various possibilities and options. Don’t change that in last minute.
You follow the underlined with the bolded section, really undercutting the argument. Meaningful choice isn't about picking which colours to put into the rainbow, it's making decisions and sticking through sometimes hard consequences. It seems to be a new mantra among some that you should have the ability to "pick" a happy ending like you were picking your favourite flavour of ice cream. As someone who wants to see the endings changed to be in-line with the rest of the game, I find this shift very disappointing as it takes focus off the narrative problems in the end and turns it just into the cliche of entitled fans demanding affirmation.

After all Professional, Gattaca and dozens of other movies feature death of main hero towards end of story, but that makes sense. It's not a whim of Casper the Genocidal Ghost.
So I'm there with you that narrative problems are most important. Also I support a possibility of Shepard surviving ending of game. And I could do with him dying if it wasn't for the rest of issues.
Thanks for comment!
