I just thought of this... Anderson not being my Councilor I got... I read in the codex that he got sick of the poltical crap and went back to what he knows best, millitary.
But... what happened to the All human council? In my ME2 game I am fairly certain that my council was all human... am I remembering wrong, or did this change also between games?
What happened to my All Human Council?

Retconned.

They changed a lot of choices in this game to make it fit their story better.

Well, was it actually retconned or was it changed like Anderson quit and Udina took over? Cause as I said, the codex plainly stated that so it wasn't a retcon. But the council was?

My council was of mixed species in the second game.

I made a topic like this the other day. Yeah, I have no idea what is up with this.
Would've much preferred an all-human council, and having Garrus or someone contact me about Palaven.

Hmmm I did not SPEAK to them but I remember Miranda said something about an all human council at the beginning of my game and I had said that "I did it so we could take over" option.

This is an example of either a lack of budget (that should have put multiplayer on the chopping block) or laziness of the writing team. The ME games are all about demonstrating the results of your actions several years after you've taken them, to show you consequences. So far the only games that really seem to satisfy this are The Witcher games.

Yeah, that was sadly ignored. Just like the rachni.

If the old council died, then you get a 'Human dominated' council. This is not the same as a 'all human' council, which I recall no mention of, and if there was one, I'd chalk it up to a typo/mistake.

If I remember right it was never an all human council it was a human dominated council if you let them die in ME1

If you did intentionally destroy the Council as a Renegade Shepard, humanity raised a Council with no other races involved.

No, the Rachni wasn't "ignored" if you killed the Rachni in ME1, then there is an explanation of why there is more Rachni. The Reapers cloned/genetical recreated them from DNA fragments. My Shepard was like WTF I killed her that whole mission then talked to the new queen and she didn't know me. So, in this case it's not an oversight or laziness or ignored.
As for the Council thing, I'll recheck my ME2 and see if the poster that said "Dominated" is right... I and others might just have been thinking that meant all humans when it wasn't they just had more power.

Just because they gave a crappy explanation as to why there's a new Rachnai queen doesn't mean they respected player choice. If there are no Rachnai left in the galaxy, there should be no Rachnai left in the galaxy. This is railroading and laziness on the part of BioWare. The advantage to having gone Renegade for that choice in ME1 should be the elimination of Rachnai units that the Reapers use ingame. Disadvantage being you don't get Rachnai forces on your side.

If you want to look at it that way. I look at it as showing more of how powerful the Reapers are with genetic manipulation. Now, if you kill off the NEW Rachni Queen and still get bunches of Rachni forces coming against you later in the game, then I kind of agree.
Besides, just because you killed the Queen doesn't mean that every Rachni was killed. Just as there was that egg that Binary Helix found, there easily could be other eggs out there. Insects are notoriously difficult to totally wipe out. cockroaches and twinkies man, cockroaches and twinkies.

It's more like the Udina/Anderson change from what I understand, there are different Councilors and all that. Humanity lost the ability to 'dictate' terms to the rest of the Council races after the events in ME2 [prolly just the influence from 'We saved the Citadel!' wearing off rather than anything specific that happened].
That said, I haven't done a playthrough where I let the Destiny Ascension fall, so not personal experience, just hearsay.

Hmm now THAT is a bug because I can say for sure that my Paragon Shepard that saved the council has the original councilors, but my Renegade Shepard has totally different councilors.
