This! This is what I want.  www.ign.com/blogs/goldenadamas/2012/03/09/how-mass-effect-3-free-additional-dlc-endings-can-redeem-the-trilogy/

I will gladly pay for this DLC.  And I will shout my love of Bioware from the heavens!

Good write-up. Good to see folks on the big game sites picking up on this.

It's just a blog by some random person. I mean, it's worth reading but this isn't IGN picking up on anything. Well, correct me if I'm wrong.

Regardless, that blogger expressed what was wrong with the ending clearly, concisely, and demonstrated a good understanding of the series and how most players related to it.

Oh, absolutely. Just clearing up that bit.
And hell, the fact that it isn't Kotaku, IGN or any of the sites that bring these things up directly should be a source of endless shame for them. I mean, it won't be, but still.

What if this was the ending they've been planning from the very beginning. That would explain a lot. Especially why the end wasn't in keeping with the tone of the rest of the game.

Like this guy i was expected exactly the same things. Instead of that all we have its almost the same space battle against the Reapers no matter what you have done, a ground battle with only humans and very few Asari/Krogan/Turian no matter what you have done again and the three endings who are the same no matter what you have done bis repetita. **** that. Yes, i'm mad.

It's not... script changed. Obviously. They could have at least put more effort into the change though. Why not have clips of all the assessets you gathered fighting? Copy ME2 verbaten and that would help.

yup, good read and I agree with the article, it is important for Bioware to know, it is not too late! I too want to see Krogans riding on ancient cloned Kaklisaurs into battle!

If we suddenly get an everyone and everything is sunshine and bunnies ending, one, that overrides the current one if you have high EMS rating, I would be seriously pissed.
Apart from one illogical thing, I liked the endings very much.
If anything like that would be implemented, there should and could be something that you can choose to have.
Or else it would sc..w my love for dramatic endings up.
(Oh, and yes, I do get all the content DLCs)

Additional ending if you want to gun for that ending, not an overwrite of the current endings.

This is something that Mike Gamble needs to read over, not just rants from angry gamers. THIS is constructive feedback.

While I realized the implications of what I'm about to say, I'll say it: I would literally pay money for some sort of ending pack. I'd like to think that a willingness to actually pay extra for this would be some incentive to actually put in the effort for the endings that we were led to believe would be there. It's tough, it's expensive, but they also sold a whole lot of copies on the premise that we'd get a satisfying conclusion.

I'm sure that they would be extremely reluctant to go back and "fix" the ending since it would mean that they were allowing the masses to influence development. The thing is, they already have done this. Lots of changes to gameplay are implements because of feedback. (I know that is different than story, but it shows a communication) An example of a developer being flexible to what fans want is Sucker Punch. There was a sizable outcry over the dramatically different look of the main character in Infamous, and guess what, they changed him back. Some thought that only the creators should get to make that call, but it ended up being better in the end.

I sincerely ask Bioware this question: Which is worse: giving in to what fans want and allowing them to have a certain amount of input on the plot of the game, or having a huge portion of your fanbase that was looking forward to multiple playthroughs ask, "What's the point?"

*Note: I'm not one who is asking, "What's the point" since I had too much fun leading up to the end to never play again, but I fully understand this sentiment. If nothing else, I won't take time to consider my choices because I know that they don't matter at the very end.

I am not sure why we should pay for dlc that corrects an ending they already have in the game anymore than people who bought the Deception novel already should have to buy the corrected version.

Who said we want all sunshine and bunnies?  I simply want an ending that reflects the choices I made.  If I didn't make certain choices, then people die.  If I made certain other choices, maybe they CAUSE otherwise avoidable deaths.  Let me see the krogan, the quarians, the geth, and the rest fighting alongside for the future of all the galaxy's civilizations.  Hell, I started ME3 with the expectation that Shepard would die, and DA:O proved that you can have an awesome ending that included the death of the protagonist.  (That's my favorite DA:O ending, btw....)

I want something better than "How would you like to fail: blue, red, or green?".
