And there was no secret ending.  Not sure if anyone has posted but I went through the game like I did before with full Paragon and there was no special ending.  Anderson still ends up dying after sitting down with Shepard on the Crucible, and the Catalyst still only gives you the three options of Control, Synthesis, and Destroy.  The Normandy still crashes in who knows where and Grandpa is still talking to that kid after the credits.

*Edit
Would also like to point out that I did not see my squadmates dead after being hit by Harbinger.  I brought Garrus and Javik with me and looked all around and didn't see there bodies.  I know some people posted that they saw their corpses on the ground next to them.

I am surprised anyone thought there would be a secret ending hidden in NG+. That would be serious trolling. Anyway, thanks for the confirmation.

Thanks for taking one for the team and enduring the game one more time. This is an important thread that everyone should see.

You know, I'm not even surprised anymore that this whole "Secret ending" wasn't true. I feel like they've lied about everything else. :\\

I think the grandpa talking to the kid is the "secret ending." I heard it only appears for people who imported a ME2 save or finished the game a second time with a new save.

Either way, that bit at the end only rubbed salt in the wound - it only made the already awful ending a little bit worse.

NG+ with the fish was a great troll job.

All the fish do is give you an upgrade choice on Glyph's terminal.

Did you stay and watch the credits?

If there was something secret, it would be there. But then again, someone would have seen/heard something. :(

Thanks for the info. I had just started an NG+ run in the hopes that something would be different.

It's because the official strategy guide said NG+ unlocked a new ending.

Yah it was the same sequence with Stargazer and that kid I had on the first playthrough.

The "secret ending" is grandpa and stargazer talking. You get it by either playing through twice, or importing an ME2 save and playing through once.

I think they meant the grandpa scene... but you already get that when you imported a save.

It doesn't require an import. I started a default Shepard and it's just something that plays post credits.

That sounds less like an ending and more like my nightmares coming to reality.

It's notable that Buzz Aldrin is voicing "grandpa"

...

Sadly, the script for that little outro cinematic is very generic.  If beautiful in setting, and to a degree, in sentiment.

Yeah, I just went at it on NG+ too, no secret ending...
One thing to note is that you need 100% paragon/renegade to get TIM to kill himself in the NG+

haha awesome, secret ending is a nonsensical epilogue that reduces your 3 video games and epic story to a mere legend some old guy is telling his kid. Fantastic, not like that isnt even worse than the other endings.

The NG+ "ending" is just the Stargazer scene, from what I understand.

Yah I made the mistake of doing a slight paragade in the first playthrough; IE  Killed Kai Leng with Renegade interrupt, and punched that stupid Quarian who decided to attack the Geth Dreadnought with me in it.  The rest of the choices where Paragon but I did not have enough for the final Paragon option with the Illusive Man on the first playthough.  NG+ all that rep carried over so I had more than enough lol.

That had to hurt, way to take one for the team.

Also, I punched the quarian and did what you did but was able to make TIM shoot himself. Guess I got lucky.

You know I think that's the part that sums up why everyone is so upset. It's not the fact that Shepard dies, it's just that there are SO MANY plotholes at the end. Unless the space magic jungle planet is really heaven. In that case, wtf.
