Mordin's death was definitely the saddest part of the game. The ending didn't make me feel sad, it made me feel sick, and with an empty feeling like I just threw up.

Charr's message (I always got those two crazy kids back together, renegade option be damned)
Legions death
Liara's Project
The fact that they used that song during the credits.
I was less sad for Mordin. I loved him, but he went out like a hero and fixed his only mistake. All while singing some killer tunes.

It was the best writing in the series.
The game was awesome - Legion's sacrifice, Mordin's sacrifice, Grunt's turn. All of it.
EXCEPT......

For me? It was having to shoot Mordin during the genophage mission. Following that? I then had to gun down Wrex on the citadel because of this choice. Other than that, some of the conversations with Ashley and Garrus were pretty sad.

Also, Shepard's last talk to Garrus. Damn, it was so good. And Liara's project... I'll stop right now.

I think Anderson's last line is even more heartbreaking if you play a Colonist or an Earthborn, because in either case, Anderson is probably the closest thing Shepard has to a father.
And Shepard just sounds so unbelievably tired when Hackett calls. My immediate response was "No! Leave her alone. She's done enough."
God, Keith David and Jennifer Hale just killed me with that scene.

I will also nominate listening to Char's poem to his PREGNANT Blue Rose of Illium.
Making the connection between joker and the PTSD asari in the hospital. (now there's a kick in the gonads...I debate in my head-canon if my shep would remember and make the connection)
Hearing the asari radio chatter at the fall of Thessia hoping that their deaths allowed Commander Shep to succeed (let's just say the next Cerebus mission, there was many an AR to the face).
Jennifer Hale just nailed it at the last scene where Hacket calls and shes got nothing left in the tank yet she still responds "what do you need me to do".
One that I found very touching (not sad per se) was the salarian outside of Purgatory who gets the new armour. He goes on for a while about the new armour and then asks his friend about taking a ride in his friend's pride and joy "the sweetest ride in the citadel".
His realization at what she did for him and the way his voice changed was impressively done.
EDIT: One more my GF reminded me...
Remember Tli's loyalty mission where we see a female quarian scientist on video and just before she gets gunned down she shouts "_JONA_ remember mommy loves you very much"
When you do the rescue Qwib-Qwib mission, you come across a dying quarian who simply asks, "Tell _JONA_ father saw Rannoch skies with his own eyes from the ground"...
Yeah...even if the quarians dont get massacred, there's a young quarian who is now an orphan...
I also liked the conversation between the Turian c-sec and the teenager human girl who is waiting for her parents, yet the C-sec guy knows that she's going to be waiting forever...

Same here, I managed to avoid the quarian's annihilation during the game, then I discovered this outcome...
Now, I can't even listen to the soundtrack ("I'm Sorry") or watch this scene again without sheding a few tears.

Charr's final message. I guess I'm the only one?
No, you are not
I didn't releaize what i was up to, when i talkted to that Asari, but hearing the message ..woooh .. i was pretty shocked and alsmost crying.
Never liked Mordin, so i must admit that this wasn't so bad for me ..
But Legion? My beloved blinky Flashlight? Goddamn BW .. :/
Anderson - no comment. My mentor, my friend. Can't talk about that great character dying.
And the scene with Grunt almost got me angry.
I watch the cutscene - almost crying again - and thought to myself "Ok, he cannot die, you can let him die! If you let him die, f'ck that, i'll replay that whole ****ty mission if it changes anything. No more death Krogans .."
Very emotional Game... with a very 'special' ending ..it's a same.

Tali's suicide is such a shoot the shaggy dog..its really did we really need to beat that poor girl down to this point... god lord. I know it fiction but to beat someone down to point of suicide is.. just gut wrenching.
I would have stop playing game at that point... thankfully I was to choose peace.. like a boss.
Legion death was tearjerker but the one that did it for me was Thanes death..
the prayer for my shepard... oh man... man tears.. so many man tears.

I've got a plot question, tho. There is the possibility that Tali shoots herself.
I don't know how this is supposed to happen - I rewrote the geth in ME2 and was still able to broker peace between the Geth and the Quarians.
Just so I don't ever have to face her suicide scene - how is it triggered?

I think mordins death takes the cake. He's the hero of the war.

She doesn't shoot herself. She jumps off a cliff. This happens if you let the geth kill the Quarians.

Thanes death
Mordins death
a close 2nd is legions sacrifice

Retour en haut
