Even as pure hardcore renegade i couldnt bring my self to shoot him in the back :(

Also love the way he shouted "I MADE A MISTAKE"

Mordin said he made a mistake with the genophage, and I made the terrible mistake of shooting him. Watching him bleeding out nearly made me cry, as well as watching Thane dying. I'd rather let him die in the Collector base than having to shoot him again, because doing that is not ruthless anymore, but heartless.

Easily the most distressing scene I've seen in a video game.

I watched the video on YouTube, but I had to keep clicking away from it into other browser tabs, which just made it worse because all I could hear was him gasping for breath with sad music going on (I think the track is even called "Betrayal"!!!!). It was so brutal to watch, much more than his "noble" death.

Watching that scene...was probably the most evil thing I've ever witnessed Renegade Shep do. I'm glad I play ultimate paragon...I couldn't stomach it, and I wouldn't like to be friends with anyone who could :P

Never saw it in my playthrough because I revealed the plan to Wrex and Mordin. Saw it on Youtube and it was very moving.

I'm doing it with my vanguard even though he meets the requriements to convince Mordin to not cure the genophage.

I didn't reveal the plan until he got to the tower. Not because I couldn't decide, but because I didn't want to cause a conflict between the Krogans and Salarians after the war.

My Paragade Shepard shot him, due to the "big picture" and OP please try to avoid spoilers in headings.

Its hard to shoot someone in cold murder who you know?

Kind of ironic too, considering in game one you can stop Mordin from killing Maelon...

There is. A lot of your choices from ME1 and ME2 combine to let you alter the story in dramatic ways. If only they had applied the same logic for the end!

My first no-nonsense Renegade Shepard shot him. It was the hardest time I've ever had pressing a button in a video game, I think.

I know how my other two Shepards would handle that situation, but I don't think I'll get to them any time soon. Knowing the ending now, I just can't get into playing the game again.

You don't have to shoot him. You can sabotage it and convince him to go along with it, he'll say he was too quick to rectify his mistake and forgot about how dangerous the krogan were, and go into hiding leading the krogans to think he died. I saw it on YouTube.

This is so great also somewhat worried about the ending because everyone is saying it is bad.
