In From Ashes, we learned that the Collectors were the Reaper ground forces in the last cycle, and since they seemed to be handy except for the whole being wiped out thing in ME2, which race do you think the Reapers would have used to replace the collectors if they had won?
I would be thinking Salarians since the forces we saw really looked corrupted instead of something that could have been another race, but maybe that's only because we knew what they were... just wouldn't trust a banshee or maruader if it offered me tech
Brutes (big Turian+ Krogan things) though, those are faces I can trust.
