Does it do anything besides just walking around the bottom deck and scanning things? I thought you would be able to play fetch with it.

Yeah. I... don't really get why that even existed.

it sleeps by your feet if you use the weapon bench....

Completely disappointed. I'll admit it was cute, but I really wish they'd done more with it.

Still would turn it into a space toaster if I could get Urz on the Normandy.

Same. I was expecting something along the lines of the Dog in the Dragon Age series, somehting you could talk to, play around with, and joke around with other team members. This dog did absolutely nothing except take up space on ym ship. Worthless.

I specifically remember the preorders saying that you get a "mech dog to follow you around on your ship," or something close to that. It doesn't follow you around at all.

Yeah, I was confused by the dog, too - I was expecting it to follow Shep around and sleep in the cabin instead of just wander aimlessly around the cargo bay. Seems a bit pointless tbh. Cute though ^^

To be the cynical critic:
They had time to program this useless dog but couldn't give me my gun holster back? With the amount of guns and upgrades hidden all over maps I need to holster my massive machine gun to loook around!

Yeah when I first downloaded it I went up to Sheps cabin to see it, turns out it was just wandering in the cargo bay..

What really ticked me off is that your two squadmates walk around with their guns in a 'down' position when there's no fighting going on, while Shepard runs around holding it in a firing position, looking like an idiot. Why couldn't Bioware simply have made it so when your squadmates lower their weapons, Shepard does too?

especially since the reason Bioware gave for not including the holster option is because ther is a lack of RAM available to include the animation, but your squadmates do it.... whay cant I?
EDIT: this is getting a bit off topic...

The most I was able to do was say hi to it once. That is all.

Best dang dog ever - never has an "accident" on the floor like my real life dog is so apt to do. J/K. Yeah, this was a total let down. Thought it would do something or at least have "moments" it did something when visiting it. Nope. Just a nice little flash light head with four legs.

Funny thing is, in one of the promos they show the dog wandering around the CIC. But in reality, as others have stated, it only ever wanders around the cargo bay.

Some things about ME3 are starting to get on my nerves like the dog here. I've loved it from the beginning but...

Yeah, the dog was a failure.
The CE's best gimmick was the hoodie, I liked that.

I thought the dog would fight with you just like the Fallout series like Dogmeat. Nah it just wondered around like why the heck am I here. He kept lying down I was like maybe I should put you out of your misery.

Wore the hoody whenever I was chilling on the Normandy between missions.

Just be patient, we'll probably get an interactive dog added in with the multiplayer DLC.
