THE KID WAS THE CITADEL THE WHOLE TIME? wat.
Oh okay, that's cool. The arms open up, maybe the ending isn't that bad after all and all the Forums babies are just whining.
Nope, all the forum babies aren't evening describing the hate I feel right now.
*gets to decision* I forgot which one is which. Nav point, maybe? No? K.
*Shoots kid ghost for 5 minutes
*Closing my eyes and picking direction, Shepard evaporates.
*Has anxiety attack
Puts game box into closet.
What was going through your mind as you watched the ending?

What was going through my mind?
This sucks...all my hard work to play the game the right way went straight down the drain, choices didn't matter.

As soon as the Reaper beam from Harbinger almost killed you ,-
I thought , oh.... Shepard is so going to die .
The moment with the Illusive Man,
Awesome ... he shot himself
Sitting with Anderson ;
EPIC
The Catalyst:
Wait why does he look like that kid , This doesnt make sense , NO INVESTIGATE on dialogue wheel?
The choices :
seriously?
The Relays exploding After I choose destruction ( Let's face it , controlling them ? no, those bastards needed to die)
UMMMM KKKK
THE NORMANDY Trying to Outrun the wave:
How the F***! did they end up there ,
Joker and Crew get out of the Normandy:
UHHHH How did my squad end up on the Normandy I thought Harbinger just killed them .
The Epilogue on the Planet;
Screw you old man , who says " my sweet" you douche canoe
Man i must of gotten the crap ending .
GOOGLE
NOPE THAT WAS APPARENTLY THE GOOD ONE ? F***!
The kicker is , even though the ending left me demoralized and felt like my choices didnt matter at all, I was loving almost every minute of the game Up until that Catalyst scene.

impression: yeah it was really as bad as they said pre-release. Wait... how does shepard live though the citadel blowing up and presumably crashing into earth.

I could not believe the "godchild" device. It felt like I had slipped into Skyrim or perhaps Dragon Age. I honestly couldn't see how it fit -- even if it is explained away as an AI. It created a lot of questions about the events that happened previously in the game. This entity BEING the Citadel should have reprogrammed the Keepers after the Protheans reprogrammed the Keepers. The Citadel should have assisted Sovereign in the events of ME1. Then the choices after that felt horrible ... I wish they had come as a result of my planning and my diplomacy throughout three games ... not a decision presented by a terrible character forced into the story with a crowbar.
As you can see ... the godchild THING is what really angered me about the ending.
TIM was lackluster. Frankly everything after reaching the light could go. If the credits rolled after reaching the light I would have put $100 aside to ensure I got the Mass Effect 4 Uber Edition at a midnight release.

What the **** did I just watch. How did Bioware manage to retcon themselves 3 times in a 5 minute ending?

Yeah I just couldn't figure out what I'd done wrong to get the bad ending. I was very thorough. Looked under every stone, made smart risk/reward choices. Quick-saved in case gambles didn't pay off. Did everything in my power to prevent a horrible outcome like this.
Then I found out I got the good ending.

Worked like this the first time:
Shepard picks up gun and starts firing and regaining composure, I like that.
Shepard dies in big explosion, that sucks.
Alt F4.

Let's see, right after Anderson died and Shepard collapsed...
-Wow, Shepard's ascending into a big bright light. Could you be any more blatant with your symbology there?
-Oh dear, this kid. That "more blatant" comment wasn't a challenge, Bioware!
-Boy this explanation feels tacked on.
-Dude, shut up Shepard. Let me ask him to clarify some stuff. He's not explaining it well. Maybe you could try questioning his logic a little too?
-Let me talk to you, stupid kid!
-Lalala... Hey, Normandy, where are you going and why?
-Hey, Normandy, how the heck did you pick him up? I thought he was dead. Is this symbolic? Did the ship get blown up offscreen or something?
-Oh, post credit scene on the same planet, I guess not.
-Man, it's nice they got an astronaut to do the old man's voice, but it's too recognizable. Completely messing with me.
-Could he sound any more like he's just reading lines off a script?

First I was like:
Sad, with the music and Shepard his death.
Then after the secret ending I was like huh? Was this a story just made up buy a guy ?
He did say thousands of years ago, no human can survive that ;s

I stared blankly at the screen all through the credits. Watched the old man and "future child". Went to bed two hours early because I was so upset.
