I recently started a NG+ and decided to go to the shooting range to test out some of the weapons I didn't use in my first run through the game. However, I can't use it anymore, as the game freezes upon trying to enter the range. I tried restarting my Xbox in attempts to fix it, but even that doesn't work.

Is there any possible fix for this?

I'm on my first play through and the shooting range freezes for me too. I was actually checking here to see if anyone else had that issue.

I have encountered this issue as well. I am on my first play through.  The bug did not pop up immediately but once it did the game freezes every time I have tried to go into the shooting range.

Same here. Saw some people having the problem with disc 2, but I'm having it with disc 1 .

Edit: Tried restarting with disc 2 and it worked (shrugs).

I also have this issue...I didnt have trouble with disc one but every time since i switched to disc two i cant load the shooting range.

Yep, disc 1 "Ashes" DLC installed freezes everytime.

The first time I entered the shooting range was fine, but the next two times the game froze on me. I currently have disc 1 in the machine. Will switch to disc 2 and report back.

(I'm on my first playthrough, by the way, but my Shepard is from the first game.)

Changing discs seems to do the trick, but why? I've got both discs installed, so I thought all data was on the hard drive anyway, and the machine only reads the disc to confirm that you own the game?

Unfortunately only disk 2 is working for the range. Another bug.

Alas I have the same issue. However mine does not matter what disk I have in. It just randomly freezes. I have both disk installed to my hard drive.

odd, it only freezes up on  disc 2 for me, disc 1 works fine with the range. also, i find disc 2 has a lot of trouble loading the outfits on the costume screen, when selecting armor or casual outfits

First time for me in the shooting range and it froze. I waited a long time to go, so I think I was already on disc 2 at that point. One subsequent attempt to get in was a success - I just rebooted the Xbox and went back in and it worked.

Ive frozen two out of the 4 times I tried using the shooting range. Tis a shame because I want to try out some cool weapons I just got at my own pace.

hopefully this will be fixed soon, and not just for PC players.

man I used to have a problem with this I found that if I save right before I go into the shooting range I actually have less problems, the game for some reason freezes less when I do this (seriously this is an improvement, it used to freeze 70-80 percent of the time I would try to enter the shooting range after I hadn't been there in a while, now it only freezes every now and then) and on the few occasions where the game does decide to freeze well saved first.

But yeah me and a friend joke that this is the freeze room due to how consistently it freezes at the target range

I've had a problem with the game freezing when I try and access the Shooting Range as well on the second disc especially. I've also had a problem of my Armor never loading while I am changing it. these are not very big issues however, just a small annoyance.

Same issues as you...

I have installed both discs, and I always save before attempting entry of the Shooting Range but it doesn't matter which disc is in the tray as the screen fades to black, the Xbox locks up, and I have to restart every time.

Also, everytime I change a single piece of armour, or the whole set, or even just the casual options, the game takes up to two minutes to register this change on the model - it doesn't affect the Save and Exit strategy, however.
