Okay I feel that Bioware will make the synthesis decision the canon choice if there are future installments of this series. If the early sales are any indication EA will strongly insist there will be another game. However the more I think about it the less I see a difference between indoctrination and synthesis.

Sure in synthesis aparently everybody gets to keep their form and not turn into monsters, but with synthesis aren't they still giving up part of their own individual selves to achieve this unity. How much control has been taken out of the hands of these synthesized peoples. To be honest Joker at the crash scene looks just like TIM (for all of 2 and most of 3) except Joker's eyes are green.

I just feel the synthesize option is compromising with the Reapers to give them a half victory. Am I getting at something or am I misunderstanding this synethesis thing?
