Is it possible?

Ok, maybe I should start out by providing more information. I received some great information from a previous post: social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effect/Mass-Effect-1-amp-2-classes-Strategy-and-Builds-Forum-Spoilers-Allowed/Sentinel-Run-on-NG---Am-I-doing-it-wrong-or-do-I-just-suck-that-much-8776268-1.html#8776268 . Specifically, the way I was going about playing the Sentinel. Put bluntly, I wasn't using the class to its full effect. Choosing the wrong bonus powers, bringing squadmates that did not go with the mission currently being played, etc. After doing more research, I started to use my team more effectively, use my guns (AR FTW!) more instead of being a casting idiot exclusively, and using my tech armor to its fullest extent (maximum pulse, anyone?). This realization has allowed me to blow through all the content in the game on insanity (the only two achievements left are beat game on Insanity, and knock back and kill 20 enemies).

Of course, if it was truly that easy for me, I wouldn't be here right now asking for advice. Long story short, I'm at the last fight (specifically the Human-Larva Reaper, and his merry band of non-stop Collector Drones and Harbinger). I brought Legon & Tali along for the last ride. I actually got the thing down to about 15-20% health before I finally got overwhelmed by the Collectors. After that, my attempts have been progressively worse. I am now lucky if I can get that guy down to under 50% before the Collector swarm caps me and my team. I'm devided about where my attention should go: Have my team focus on the collectors while I focus on the Reaper, or something else. If I'm micromanaging the team, it seems like I don't have enough time to get a clean shot off on the Reaper. If I let the team do the busy work, they invariably get ganked.

Bottom line is I need suggestions. Being "thisclose" to beating the game on Insanity is driving me crazy. I can't come this far to be turned away. I got Mass Effect 3 still in the shrink-wrap, waiting to get played! :D If anyone can help me with what I may be doing wrong, the preferred location to place my squad, where I should be, what heavy weapon I should be using, etc. My buildout looks like this:

Throw - Level 2
Warp - Level 4 (Heavy Warp)
Tech Armor - Level 4 (Assualt Armor)
Overload - Level 3
Squad Warp Ammo (Bonus) - Level 4
Defender - Level 4 (Guardian)
Cryo Blast - Level 1

Both Legion and Tali have their drones at their disposal, etc. Any and all advice is appreciated and welcomed. Thank you again for your assistance.

Shoot at its eyes or at that red thing on its chest. If you have heavy weapons (specially Cain), use them. If collectors come, focus on them and then go back to the Terminator. Sometimes you can even position yourself so the collectors get between you and the reaper and they got killed by the reaper's attacks. If you kill a harbringer, it may drop heavy weapon ammo. Overall I find it an easy fight.

What bonus weapon did you choose?

The Mattock and Viper are very helpful here if you went with AR or SR training on the Collector Ship. Legion should be using the Widow and Tali could go with the GPS or the Eviscerator, depending on what you have. The Locust is likely the best SMG to bring here and then the Predator or Phalanx should work nicely. I happen to like the Phalanx. Dunno which heavy weapon to go with since I don't use it for this fight, but I've read that the Cain can take out a nice big chunk of health off of the baby reaper, and depending on your leg armor and Research upgrades you could fire off two Cain shots during the battle.

So what Drone did you evolve?

I've found Attack Drone to be more useful to keep the enemy busy and I can recast it if they get destroyed quickly every time I reapply Tech Armor.

I think your powers are fine here (I can't remember using them on the Reaper, only on the Collector mooks), have the Squad focus on the Collectors and cast a Drone to focus on Harby, as you take every opportunity to wail on the baby reaper's eyes or the stomach thingy IIRC with your guns.

Then it's only a matter of time before that thing goes down for good.

For the final fight you can nearly ignore the Collectors as long as you position the squad somewhat effectively and they are not terrible. I have done the final fight with Legion and Tali before... they are not ideal but ok. If Harbi gets close to your position, then turn your attention to him.  Many times when the Reaper fires its attack it will kill the Collectors.

At any rate, as above just shoot at the eyes and the chest (marked as "Weak Points" on the HUD). Cain is ok I suppose, I prefer the Collector Beam because it is easy to aim. It takes a while though.

The anti-armor weapons are good. Viper is one of the best. But you mentioned AR training so use whatever AR you like and perhaps a pistol. Caster classes have it a little tougher in this fight than Soldier or Infiltrator IMO, but it is still quite doable.

Well, I officially feel like an idiot for even creating this thread now. I knocked out the final boss in like 5 minutes flat. No dying, no team dying, no being overwhelmed by collectors or harbinger. I can't believe it was a simple matter of switching my geth pulse rifle for a mattock, viper, and eviscerator. I don't think I was shot at once. I guess they were too busy being overwhelmed by two combat drones from Tali and Legion.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who provide suggestions. I can now wait (until they fix the face import bug) to finish the story out in ME3.

This is my sentinel fight on insanity.  It took about 4 minutes, but I used the cain on it.   Squad powers did not work via the dpad.  RedCaesar97 said that if you use the powerwheel then the squad powers will hit the Reaper.
