Whenever i go into multiplayer, i can set up everything fine but as soon as i hit the search button the game stops responding and claims that it cannot access the mass effect 3 server.
it's not a problem with my internet connection and ive tried turning off the firewall but still the same response each time.
does anyone else have this or is it just me? is there a possible fix?

I had this same problem, I was actually able to play some yesterday, I thought I did this by setting up port forwarding on the UPNP ports that EA games uses but today the problem has returned and I can't fix it.
Happens both when creating a game and starting it for me. turning off firewall doesn't fix it, nor does bypassing my router entirely

I had the same issue but fixed it by opening my ports, but now I can not quick join any matches. I think troubleshooting will solve the problem: https://help.ea.com/...-3-multiplayer. Still I need to have someone to invite to my lobby to fix the "bad host" issue. I do not know anyone on Origin that I can invite.

Okay, i tried going through that troubleshooting page but i have no idea.
i should say that i have little to no computer savy, so looking up a way to find the ports led me to a place where i was just confused. prehaps someone could walk me through in idiot terms for me?

I have the same problem. The only thing I could do was to create a new match - then other people joined me, but I can't search for a Quick Match

Try turning off your firewall. It could work but be sure you are not on the ie, google chrome, firefox or any other browser. I have my UPNP port open. Also, I have open up multiple ports (TCP/IP: 80, 9945-9994,15200-15300, 42100; UDP:3659, 5659,6000, 7673) that people and bioware claim to work. Still I am only able to join quick matches when I turn off my firewall.

I can't join any match with quick match. It searches for a while and then I get disconnected. It worked fine on the demo until the weekend before the release. Got the Collectors addition and my multiplayer still won't work
