Yup. He commits suicide. I feel like a decent number of people have managed it, but I played full paragon through all the games so I'm not actually sure how hard it is.

No. I have full paragon for half of the game and it doesn't work for me.

Its simple : if you dont play full parangon or renegade you dont get it. You need 100%, not 90% or 80%. What a joke for people who want to make their own choice, not just play with the answer in the bottom because its "renegade".

Yes. It's very important as you play through the game that you talk to everyone. Everyone. And in between missions, talk again to everyone on the Normandy. And on the Citadel. You gain rep this way.

False. I went both ways though the entire game, still got the option.

Not true, I was not 100% Paragon.

That's not entirely correct. It's based on your reputation rather than your paragon/renegade.  Close to full reputation is needed. I could choose both the renegade and paragon options and I had basically zero renegade, very high paragon and very high reputation (above the last mark ).

I didn't get it and I am pretty sure I get most rep points. I probably missed the first few before I learned that I should do passive conversation after every friggin mission.

You can't see your total reputation though. That's why it's stupid and aggravating. You don't know where you stand.

Yeah.... I only played once and got it, havent been able to even open the .exe again. I've seen a lot of this come up, I figured it was really easy to get it lol.

Wrong.  I was about 84% Paragon, 16% renegade.  But it equalled out to a full 100% and I talked him into killing himself.

I think it hinges on you being able to use persuasion options with him in every single conversation. I got him to shoot himself, but I also used every single persuasion option in every conversation prior to that final one. in every conversation, I had both renegade and paragon options available. the system is different, its just full out reputation. paragon or renegade status merely determins how some of the auto dialogue goes, ala DA2.

"It's based on your reputation rather than your paragon/renegade."

On my third game with the same Shepard i have like 85% of Renegade (midle of the last part of the bar), with a terminator face, and still i dont have the renegade option.

Someone else reported with the same save he doesn't have the option the first time and have it the second time. Maybe it's broken.

I used all Paragon until the last one which was greyed out.

I thought i was maxed out but didn't get it only choice I never got.

What I would also be interested in is there any way not to shoot Admiral Anderson, its sort of vague but it looks like Shepard is taken over and pulls the trigger while waving his gun around, I can only imagine that is what kills Anderson.

In the guide it says that in order to charm or intimidate TIM at the end you need both a high reputation and every time you talk to him (mars, thessia and at the cerberus base) you need to use a charm/intimidate response during the conversation. Otherwise the game won't let you choose the final charm/intimidate option. I did this and it worked for me.

this.

when I said you had to use every charm option in every conversation, I meant every conversation, not just that last one. and I beleive, I used renegade option on mars with him. paragon options in last conversation and it still worked for me.

that said.  there are bugs in the game.  I was told that you only need about 3000 points for master and commander.  I have 3600ish and didn't get it.

we were told that multiplayer is not necessary to get Shepard lives ending.  I don't see how its possible to get 4000 points without it.  my playthrough was a completionist one with all the squadmates from ME2 being alive.  even if I made couple of more different choices (including going back and killing Wrex/destroying genophage cure in order to be able to get both Krogan and salarian support), I .... might be able to get it up to 3900ish... maybe.

some people reported having Wrex alive, even though he was shot on Virmire.  some of the side quests bug out and become impossible to complete.  I know of at least one instance where quarian/geth solution bugged out, despite that person doing everything right.

so its possible that some of you may have ran into another bug.
