Forgot to mention that none of them made an ounce of sense either.

Because you always get your army, and you always can destroy the reapers. Yupp. None of them matter.

I wish I could wipe out races through my decisions, but I can only do so with the Krogans, that is a bit poor. Sad, sad.

How, based on the endings presented, do they matter?

You get to choose between Genocide, rewriting organic life or becoming the reapers. That will matter in the future. Stop being dense.

Sorry, you're right. That's the ONLY one that matters.

Oh jeez, sorry guy. I'm just a normal dude with an average sized brain, so I guess I missed that. Thank you for clearing it all up for me.

STILL doesn't answer the question though. Yes, what you just spouted off matters for the FUTURE. But what was mentioned previously was the decisions you made in previous games all added up to a big pile of nothing. Nothing you did in the PAST matters. (Outside of EMR to determine which FUTURE you are deciding for.)

That is the only decision that matters.  It's just like Deus Ex.  You can be whoever you want throughout the entire series, but, ultimately, only the last decision means anything.

In the bad destroy ending, you see the following.

The energy wave released by the Crucible kills the Reapers, but vaporizes all the soldiers fighting. The camera cuts to a scene from orbit, showing the energy wave spreading across Earth and annihilating all life on the planet. The Crucible fires, and the same energy wave that just annihilated all life on Earth is distributed throughout the entire galaxy via the mass relay network. The Normandy is caught in the energy release and is destroyed.

Following the logical progression set forth by the ending, the Crucible and Shepard just destroyed all life in the galaxy anyways. Not merely "sufficiently-advanced civilization", but all of it. That's a straight-up hypothetical syllogism, no mental gymnastics or creative interpretation necessary; that's not an inference based upon the ending but rather the logical conclusion of it.

And...then the Normandy crashes on the unknown world flush with plant life, nobody comes out, and you see the "stargazer" scene anyways. Which directly contradicts the logical progression of everything that came before it. That exemplifies everything that's wrong with the ending -- it flatly defies logic.

You need to explain how all our decisions mattered, you only said the last 3. Why not just give us those choices right at the begining of the game and save everyone some time? It would have had the SAME EFFECT as what happened at the end.

I thought we were talking about the ending, not the stuff that leads up to it?

They DON'T matter. You don't get to see the fruits of your labor.
