There's plenty of variation. In one of them, the light is orange, but it could also be blue or even green, depending on a very long and complicated string of choices you made throughout the series which out-of-nowhere ending you decide you hate the least. Also, some people have different people coming out of the Normandy.

It's all deeply complex.

Also, Big Ben may or may not explode. The Reapers either take off or fall over. And those troops might lift their arms up and cheer a bit.  Or get burnt to ashes.  Or just sorta stand there staring. Other than that...not much.

Its like they ran out of time but the game was delayed for months and I haven't seen anything about the game being forced to release.

It is interesting that while all three endings are equally bad its mostly cause they are all the same. For the last mass effect game its a complete lack of ending despite not needing to be carried on not that destroying every mass effect relay allows for any continuation or DLC to tag on the end.

There are small variations. On Destroy ending you can see the blast destroy Big Ben and vaporize marines, but if the EMS was very high, it doesn't.

Like another thread I posted in, this is Another of the MANY flaws in The Ending. The 1st two games had distinct endings based off my decisions. This one seemed to have a bad ending no matter what I did. All that work to get side missions done, collecting all the war assets, hours of multiplayer (that I did NOT enjoy) just to get readiness up over 80%, all for nothing as Bioware already decided the trilogy would end badly regardless.

This one is my personal favorite.

"There are many different endings," [Matt Gamble] added. "We wouldn’t do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say any more than that…"

Big Ben can get destroyed by blue light too, actually. The marines getting vaporized is exclusive to Destroy, however.
