It is kind of funny how this parallels the game. We have a wide selection of people with various opinions on various things all coming together to fight the common enemy, but instead of Reapers, it's the Endings.

I mean, we've all seen the split over DA2, and yet most seem to agree that the ending of this series was just plain poor. Logically, and thematically poor.

We gathered the brightest, the toughest, the deadliest allies the galaxy can offer.
Our team is strong, and our resolve is unquestionable.
We will stop at nothing. We will fight, for the lost.
I am Commander Shepard, and so are YOU.
Each of us needs to be willing to die. Anything else, and we are already dead.
Tonight, we will give them hell. We were born to do this!

I can apply this speech for our situation here :D

Oh, and I know Casey Hudson or whoever said Mass Effect 3 would be the end of Shepard's story, but I am attached to the character and his/her crew so I wouldn't mind a Mass Effect 4, or even a Mass Effect 3-2 starring Shepard as the protagonist... In the same vein as Final Fantasy X-2 but much, much less terrible than Final Fantasy X-2 was, preferably.

I would pay so much for that!! Another Shepard story ALL THE WAY!!... But they gotta fix ME3 ending first....

Hey bioware, did you know that ME$.. Oops, silly me I meant to say ME4Posted Image

So would I!
I keep hoping that the end was indoctrination / hallucination, and we will have ME4 trying to solve the issue of the original plot (dark energy) after we defeat the reapers <3
For me, I'd happily go for one more Shepard's ME trilogy.

Think most agree the first 97% of the game is epic. The last 3% is a joke gone wild.

Bioware are the reapers and EA is the catalyst and BSN is shepard.

Actually, in this case, BSN would be the civilizations of the galaxy and Bioware would be Reapers.  The ending is Shepard, as that is what united us against Bioware (the Reapers).

it feels almost like... "The watchmen" solution. earth united against a common enemy.

with BSN being earth, and Bioware being Ozimandius

Would that not imply that Bioware did this intentionally?

Also, Watchmen was a great example of how to do a "bittersweet" ending. Just like ME3 should have had.

puts on tinfoil hat.  it would woudln't it :P

but i don't think it was, which is why I said almost.  that said - I loved the ending of watchem, the book.  movie not as much, but still.  also - the watchem was more of an ensemble cast - it didn't really have a central character, like Shepard.

I'd be perfectly happy with something like gears of war 3.  it was also bittersweet.  but the hero survived, defeated the bad guys and got the girl.

For an ME4 with Shepard as the protagonist it could even be about all the clean up... Even if the reapers are defeated, there are still Cerberus operatives, indoctrinated people, and other bad dudes out in space.

These are nothing but annoying spam. No we are not united. Their are a lot of people that are too emotionally attached to their game avatar character. Its not healthy. Furthermore its silly. Second of all the ending was fascinating, and i will end up playing through it countless times.

It may be silly but 12,000 people have taken the time to try and express their feelings about this. 344 of them like the ending.

I wouldnt call that spam, i call that people who are actualy that passionate and want this game to end on the epic note it deserves.

Ive seen a lot of heated posts and based on BSN reputation im actually amazed there arent pages and pages of **** you bioware threads. Theres been a few heated posts, thats true, but for the most part people have expressed their concern and upset in a constructive and rational manner. Chris Priestlys fan review thread being the perfect example. Nearly every fan review there has issue with the ending and almost all of them are well written, constructive posts.

Yes I did not expect this many people to agree with me on the BSN. Usually the opinions are widely varied and there's a lot of, um, discussion. I keep looking at the poll to see if it starts trending in a different direction, and well, it keeps trucking along in the "we don't like the ending" direction.

And in reality even though its there game they can make it what they want. I think most people want what Mass Effect has represented since the start of the series choices. There should be many endings that suit just about everyone. From shep dieing, earth exploding, to the galaxy has to rebuild and defeat the reapers or whatnot.

What we have in ME3 now is the same ending in Red, Blue, or green... Which is tradgic to say the least.

Please don't speak for me. The endings were fine in my opinion. And Shepard's story should end here. It is never good to drag out a story beyond the logical conclusion.

To an extent i agree with you. No issues myself with saying my goodbyes to shepard, no issues even if he dies. I totaly  agree that this is the time to end sheps adventures. My contention with the ending is that it DOESNT have a logical conclusion

Exactly.  I wouldn't say it's spam when so many genuinely are upset about something that is a big deal.  I wouldn't say that it's silly, either.  Bioware created games in which we genuinely cared about what happened.  That was the intent all along, so it doesn't seem silly that people are offended that all that caring didn't count at the very end.  Maybe it is unhealthy, but the fact is we were led to believe that the end result would be something other than what we got.

logic from the very start ME has been about stopping the reapers and breaking the cycle and you do and as for shepard and the crew they are assets and they are expendable saving the galaxy from the reapers is what matters who dies doing it doesn't.

Before people throw that poll around too much, keep in mind that it has a fairly strong selection bias. People that dislike the ending are more likely to vote than those who were okay with it.

Even if only 70% disliked the ending, it's still bad for BioWare. Really, it should be that at least 70% LIKED the ending, not 30% and definitely not 3%.
