It seems most games have one mission where the difficulty is glaringly higher than all the rest, and it's really frustrating. I was hoping this would be different. It could have just been me in this case, I guess, but I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem. Maybe I'm just addicted to my combat drone and overload...

when he starts firing just aim the weapon and when his beam gets close.... stop aiming and move.....
the lazer target thing doesnt reset, so once you figure that out its almost impossible to ever fail

Probably because it was a one hit kill and as the Reaper moved forward, the timing for the beam reaching you changed which threw people off. Got killed the first 3 times too then found that rolling didn't hack it and you just needed to run and there was still a window to fire after running
I played through my first time on Hardcore (or whatever the step below Insanity is called) and I died probably about a dozen times. That made me feel really foolish because me and Tali had just gone through the "I love you" "Keelah Se'lai" exchange and I wanted to be a badass and go out and rape some face.

1) Why?!
2) Why?! This is not fun.
3) Why?! This is not fun, this is frustrating.
4) Why?! This is not fun, this is frustrating, who put that rock in the way.
5) Why?! This is not fun, this is frustrating, who put that rock in the way and who decided that putting roll, sprint and activate on the same key was a good idea
6) Why?! not fun, frustrating, rock, stupid key, why is this in slow-motion.
7) How does the guy who designed this fight still have a job.
8) How am I going to give a crap about the next cut scene because I am only wishing bad things to happen to whoever designed this bag of crap fight.
I know there have been comments of its easy, when you realise the pattern its fine.. but it’s really not. Having a repetitive fight which is just monotonous and so out of place with the rest of the game has really taken away from everything I have experienced so far. I was really enjoying the game up to that point and it has really, really frustrated me. I don't understand how this fight was ever seen as a fun thing to add in, ok reapers are big and scary but why make the fight so annoying that it takes away from what comes next..

Were you at my house??? I didn't really want to admit this at first but I spent 45 minutes (at least) on this fight. Eventually I could get it shot twice pretty easily and then that last time it would kill me, and then it was back to square one.

Didn't find it hard, I found the Reaper on Tuchunka worse because the nav points for the Hammers were whacked out and had me going in all different directions getting me ****ing killed, not to mention the Reaper stamping on me while fighting 5 ****ing Brutes and Mauraders - yeah, that bit was OOT IMO.
Still!

The only thing else I would add to the list is NO military person would EVER set up a fight against something like that with those weapons in a freakin' halfmoon that doesn't allow you to retreat or move much. Tactically it is the most STUPID area to stage a fight, and would have made more sense to have Legion to continue driving around while you target it. Stupid stupid stupid stupid level design that show ZERO understanding of miliatary tactics or thought.

Seriously?
I am thankful that Bioware realises that Gameplay > Realism, if you could just run away and hide that fight would be extremely pointless.
Say what you want about this particular fight but I appreciated a change of pace from the usual "shoot from cover" or in my case "charge smash charge smash" combat. The mechanics of the encounter are very intuitive and anyone who failed so much that they managed to become frustrated have only themselves to blame.

Shepard doesn't follow tactics. Tactics follow Shepard

As soon as the laser is above your head and keep going up, aim and don't move, the reaper will get hit before his laser fall again on your head.
x4 easy win.
